Why Trump actually could
succeed with North Korea

American Thinker, by Thomas Lifson

Original Article

Barack Obama wasn´t kidding when he warned his successor that North Korea is the biggest national security threat the U.S. faces. "No good options" has been the mantra of the deep thinkers, as if we have no choice but to let the Kim dynasty threaten the world with nuclear war from now on. But Donald Trump has never been bound by conventional thinking and brings a healthy skepticism to the pronouncements of the experts who have failed for the past three decades. Here is a short list of what he is doing differently, and why he might even succeed. First of all,

Comments:
Great analysis. Also check out the link to Scott Adams´ blog. Adams is able to explain the way Trump operates better than anyone else. There´s certainly no mainstream journalist that has a clue.

Kim had better understand that Trump isn´t Clinton,Bush or BO.
You make a deal with Trump & then break it you will pay.
Trump will parade the deal before our allies & the world. He´ll get them to agree it´s a good deal.
It´s a trap for both because Kim breaks it & the others will be told that now Kim must go & if you don´t go along America will do it & blame them for not standing up to Kim,again.
Thus Trump is left with no choice.
Unless the Chicoms would like to kill Kim themselves?

While no guarantees, the odds are in Trump´s favor. Kimmie understands what happened to Ceasceascu in Romania, Hitler in Germany, and Hussein in Iraq among others. He knows his inner circle and his people hate his guts. And starting to sense the end is near.

If he wants to live, suggest he review the treaty I circulated the other day and get it the President asap.

Make the Fat Kid an offer he can´t refuse. He is already really worried and backed into a corner.
I also bet he has NO deliverable nuclear weapons, other than perhaps in a truck or a ship.

"the biggest upside is watching all those progressive and leftist heads explode."

Can you imagine 2020 with a roaring economy, minorities well employed, record high household worth, manufacturing boosts providing union jobs, ISIS crushed, NK subdued, immigration tamed, far better trade deals in place, and who knows what else (maybe a couple of BO´s minions in jail)?

Can you imagine dems trotting out Crazy Uncle Joe Biden, Mad Max, some of their Hard Left maniacs, and other disastrous loons?

Dems should consider Hari Kari now and beat the rush! Of course that was considered an honorable death and dems have no honor.

A recent Justice Department report on U.S. immigration courts provides a rare glimpse into the difficulties faced by the Trump administration as it repairs the damages inflicted on these tribunals over the last 20 years. But give credit to the courts’ new executive, James McHenry. Early on, he identified the need for transparency and has made accurate disclosure of court business one of his agency’s highest priorities. Candor, if not reform, demands no less. It’s a good start for an executive whose predecessors often avoided—and sometimes denied—the truth about the courts’ troubling dynamics. Yet the courts limped along, their annual reports

Our friend Howard Root attended the Trump rally in Duluth last night. This is his (fantastic) report along with photos he took at the event (at the top and bottom below): When I arrived at 4:00 p.m., the line for admission was at least a half mile long. People had been lining up since before 10:00 a.m., with the line snaking through a glass skyway where the afternoon sun had raised the temperature to over 100. I’ve seen shorter lines for Springsteen tickets, yet everyone was exceptionally polite. I only saw one protester on the walk over. He was standing on

We are thrilled for our friend, Jack Phillips, the owner of Masterpiece Cakeshop who recently won his case at the Supreme Court. At the same time, we wonder what the future holds for our case, our lost business, and our family. Ours may be, as Justice Anthony Kennedy wrote, the case that allows “further elaboration in the courts.” And we are encouraged to know that seven justices of the

No fewer than 60 organizations branded "hate groups" or otherwise attacked by the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) are considering legal action against the left-wing smear factory, a Christian legal nonprofit leader confirmed to PJ Media on Tuesday. He suggested that the $3 million settlement and apology the SPLC gave to Maajid Nawaz and his Quilliam Foundation on Monday would encourage further legal action. Yesterday on Face the Nation, I responded to questions about the migrant separations from their children under the Trump Administration’s policy announced last month by trying to shift the focus to what drives these migrations in the first place – something that can’t be addressed by a simple band-aid piece of legislation paving the way for more lax border requirements. (Snip) Why do we have the biggest month to month increase between February and March that we’ve seen since 2011? “And the answer to that is the activity of the Mexican cartels, who use these migrants as essentially a distraction

“Are you an American or not?” It’s a simple question, one that every U.S. census should include, especially when the survey already contains nonsensical and intrusive inquiries into one’s ethnic DNA composition and whether one co-habits with someone of the opposite sex or one’s own. Whether you are a citizen or not is a valid question in a civic-minded constitutional democracy. Whether your parents are ethnic Chinese born in Peru or you are a nonpracticing heterosexual, not so much. And yet, the inclusion of a citizenship question and other changes rightly being made by the Trump administration to the 2020 census caused a

Politics has a way of turning everything upside down. Flit over to Twitter and the same government media echo chamber that was loudly defending the Iran deal is concern trolling about strong inspections of North Korea’s nuclear program and worrying that President Trump’s suspension of military exercises is far too great of a concession to the tiny tyrant. The clever ones ask, “What’s the difference between the Iran deal and the North Korean negotiations”? Isn’t Trump’s stated willingness to meet with dictators a lot like Obama’s no preconditions pledge? And then there are the trade wars. What is he thinking by upsetting the

Over the last century, the world has witnessed the slow but steady depoliticization of America and Western Europe in favor of the rule of the apolitical “expert.” The great challenge of our era is to foster the return of actual political life between the people and their elected officials. President Trump’s summit with Kim Jong-un successfully served this purpose. One must jettison the abstractions of modern intellectuals in order to make politics possible again. Perhaps nowhere is this truer than on matters of foreign policy. As Claremont Institute Senior Fellow Angelo Codevilla has written (No Victory, No Peace), as our increasingly

Liberal media is aghast at the president´s rough handling of Canadian boy-band frontman Justin Trudeau, and his confrontational approach overall at the Group of Seven summit. When the dust settles, though, Trump may accomplish what eluded Bill Clinton, George W. The leadership of the Miss America beauty pageant announced this week it would eliminate the historic “bathing beauty” or swimsuit portion of the competition. The decision was explained as a reform to stop the young ladies who compete, from being judged on their appearance. Those statements were made as if they were obviously related; that there is no real difference between being judged on one’s appearance, and being judged on one’s nearly-naked appearance. It’s rather sad, that those notions would be so blithely conflated; sad, and in its own way, as revealing as a skimpy bikini. If you can’t find a middle ground between

Taxes: Whatever you think about the issue of taxing internet sales, the simple fact is that the Supreme Court has just guaranteed that people across the country will now be paying more in state taxes. It´s hard for us to see how this is good news. In its 5-4 decision on South Dakota v. Wayfair, the court overturned two previous rulings that prevented states from taxing sales of out-of-state companies. That meant a catalog company based in Maine didn´t have to navigate 45 state sales-tax laws to figure out how much each customer owed, and then remit that money to the
