Kim Jong Un Wants a Peace
Treaty From Trump, Report Says

Bloomberg Politics, by Kanga Kong

Kim Jong Un wants to sign a peace treaty after meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump, South Korean media reported, reviving a long-held goal of the North Korean regime. Kim is likely to raise the possibility of a peace treaty, along with establishing diplomatic relations and nuclear disarmament, during a meeting with the U.S. leader, the Dong-A Ilbo newspaper said Monday, citing an unidentified senior official in South Korea’s presidential office. (Snip) Koh Yu-hwan, who teaches North Korean studies at Dongguk University in Seoul, said the regime has long sought a peace treaty to end the more than 60-year-old ceasefire between the

If it begins with, "To Serve Man", be very afraid. This is "fake news". Why? From the very first sentence, "Rocket Man" has no desire for a "peace treaty" with US. If anything, judging by the Asian historical dramas I watch, Kim wants revenge for the humiliation of not being able to subjugate South Korea and their wealth. With our sanctions left in place, he has no real power or position to negotiate for his distorted idea of peace.

fta: "The U.S. wants a peace treaty at the end of the denuclearization process, while for the North, it’s the precondition for its denuclearization.” Lordy, is he going to try to out-negotiate Donald J. Trump... These negotiations may not last very long.

These are "talks", not negotiations. That will come later. Kim knows this. All the Uniparty Presidents since 1952 have tacitly accepted the Kim family´s right to rule. Negotiations were about how much sovereignty the South will be permitted. I believe Trump has changed that dynamic. That is what has brought Rocket Man to the table. Trump is nobody´s fool. Just ask Hillary and the sixteen dwarfs.

Poster #3, it´s worked for the Kim regime for 65 years, that´s why they think it will work again this time. But they have no idea who they are dealing with this time. President Trump has dealt with the mafia, union corruption and corrupt politicians all his adult life, he is nobody´s fool.

A big bowl of Kimchi with an extra large Big Mac.
Then let the games begin.

The little t*rd gets nothing until we send our guys over to inspect all the sites that we want to inspect.

My bet is that this will probably go nowhere, but may be the first step when The Fat Kid finds out that his offers get nothing, the only thing that will work is actual verifiable actions.
He will not like that at all. Be ready for his tantrum, and then some time later, a second offer to talk.

With all due respect for my fellow LDot posters, I suggest we suspend our knee-jerk ridicule and skepticism for a moment and considerthe shocking possibility that there may be a real opportunity here.

Of course we shouldn´t accept it only on their word. Unlike our previous administrations, Trump knows how to negotiate and impose really tough conditions. I want to see what he can do here.

Go for it, Mr. President. Don´t trust, but verify the heck out of whatever they put on the table.

Verify that all inspections have been verified, then do it all over again.
Basically the entire country needs a good old fashioned cavity search for ANYTHING that resembles atomic.
Then wait a year to check again. Make sure he´s being a good boy, then and only then give some help to the people directly.

Here´s your treaty. Sign and date it and please return at the earliest to President Trump:

1. I will leave for China in 24 hours.
2. My officers will shred my rockets in 24 hours or less.
3. My officers will plead to Seoul to unify the Koreas.
4. My government and officers will praise President Trump for the freedom bestowed to them.
5. I will mandate that the USA´s msm praise Trump for his bringing peace to the Koreas.
6. Once I get settled in exile in China, I will lose weight and get better hair cuts.

All the good suggestions here I´m sure are those Trump has already considered. It is he who is the Great Negotiator and has more than likely several other options on the table. I´ll dump this one confidently in his hands because I and Rocket Man know that Trump will walk away at the first sign of duplicitousness.

Among its other consequences, Speaker Paul Ryan´s retirement from the House increases the chance that President Donald Trump will be impeached. Ryan´s decision accelerates the ongoing competition among his deputies to become the leader of the GOP in the House. But it will also dispirit fellow Republicans, diminish his ability to raise campaign funds and encourage more vulnerable incumbents to retire. All of that smooths the path for Democrats to recapture the House in November and hand Nancy Pelosi the speaker´s gavel once again. And there´s little doubt that a Democratic-controlled House would seek to impeach the president. That´s not
