Stormy Daniels and Ted Kennedy
Power Line, by John Hinderaker

Original Article

The Democrats are trying to make something out of Donald Trump’s alleged dalliance, twelve years ago, with porn performer Stormy Daniels. I wrote about it here. Frankly, I don’t think anyone cares. But the story is interesting because it raises questions about what, in our era, constitutes a scandal. Trump’s long-ago romps with Daniels–assuming the stories are true–don’t qualify. There is one person, of course, who has a right to be outraged and probably is, but Melania doesn’t work for the Washington Post or the New York Times, and what she makes of the story is none of our business. Worst case,

The writer has a great idea: every time a reporter asks someone about Stormy Daniels, who is still alive, Trump should reply by saying something like, “Why don’t you ask the Democrats about Ted Kennedy and Mary Jo Kopechne?“

The more I think about this after all these years, the more relevant the story becomes in revealing the ugly truth about the Democrat party.

There once was a time when I believed that conservative´s referred to the word ´character´ in an aspirational sense. Now it´s become an exercise in moral relativism.

I said on Twitter that nobody who didn´t bat an eye at Bill Clinton´s dalliances with an intern IN the White House, no less, has any rght t tell me to e upset very this.

As I said often in the campaign, a) we´re not electing a pastor, and 2) when somebody´s pulling you out of a burning building, you don´t ask them whether they´re a church member in good standing.

Actually, I think a better answer from Ms. Huckabee Sanders is to look them in the eye and simply say: "People who live in glass houses should not throw stones." and when they persist, then say "The president has given out more details than Ted Kennedy, Bill Clinton, Anthony Weiner and Eliot Spitzer combined. That´s it. We´re done."

If it even happened it was years ago in his private life. He did not do it as president in the Oval Office and did not lie about it under oath before a grand jury or get his secretary to lie about it for him. End of story.

How funny it would be if Senator Dodd and Ted tried to sandwich Stormy, like what they did with the Waitress in Washington DC. They would roll around like they were riding on a barrel.

Don´t forget without the blue dress the Clintons would still be in denial, it happened while he was president & in the oval office, In Ted´s book he had 3,000 women, Stormy, if it did happen, was before Trump was president.

The Dems are not going to be happy when this movie comes out. I can´t wait to see it! And I lived through this nonsense. What liars and cheats the Dims are.

Donald J. Trump is changing the narrative of politics in more ways than we could ever imagine. He isn´t dependent on someone else´s money and not reluctant to spend his own to make much needed changes in this country. The media and most blood suckers in DC do not compute. They are losing their power and do not like it one bit.

Well if anything did or did not happen, one thing is for sure, this Stormy Daniels has already been paid a lot more then she was worth. So you have to ask, just what big shot Democrats are paying her now to encourage her and her lawyer to create as much controversy as possible for the liberal media to run with?

Remember when Democrat politicians are involved in sexually related controversies, the Democrat response is alway that it was that Democrat’s private business, and was not newsworthy. This current controversy would fix right between those Democrat invented parameters, as the incident is said to have occurred well over a decade ago, based upon an agreement between two consenting adults, with the lady being paid big time for her services, with the no laws being broken, unless Stormy did not include the payment she received on her income tax returns.

The Stormy Daniels story is between Mr. Trump and Mrs. Trump. I would rather it had not happened, but did so when he was not in politics period.
Unfortunately, this happens to everyday people, where the husband or wife wanders a bit, but find their way back together.
I am not one to judge. I leave that to God.
The Donald has done great things for those less fortunate than he long before entering public life. For this I would have to point out Ted "have another drink" Kennedy, his brother JFK, Lyndon Johnson, BJ Clinton and yes, even Martin Luther King. All men who raised themselves to high stature, all married at the time and presented themselves as righteous men.
Democrats, your just going to have to come up with something better. I don´t intend on being sucked into your reckless rhetoric that doesn´t apply to the man that is The President of the United States. Do your jobs with honesty and integrity and leave the sex, drugs and other dirt for the tabloids.
We have a man who is doing great things for our country that needed to be done. I know it grates on you to have to come up with juicy trash to try to sell yourselves in print or electronically.
Try being intellectually honest and fair. You just might get higher ratings and sell more print.

Indeed, Stormy Daniels is “…still-alive, still-flourishing, and reportedly financially better-off…” That reality begs the question and answers the question of why is Stormy Daniels doing this; a purported fling, allegedly hushed during the presidential campaign, and now 15 minutes of fame-- short-lived media celebrity--leaves no explanation other than money. If such a delayed revelation is being attributed to a matter of conscience, reality is a sincere conscience would remain silent, borne of compassion for Melania, the President’s children, and grandchildren. The unanswered question is the source of that money.

Given that there is a movie coming out this year about Ted Kennedy that will supposedly cover this drowning as well, this is a great suggestion.

I look forward to the big reveal of who the deep pockets are that is backing this trollop. Because she has totally flipped from written and signed denials and an NDA agreement to full Leftist liar mode. I say if she wants to continue, Trump needs to demand his money back. For he sure isn´t getting his money´s worth.

This alleged incident happened in what was a truly private life, and not in the WH or AG´s office. The media needs to knock it off with the double standard, or Trump needs to go full Iron Fist on them.

None of us knows whether it happened or not, so saying we are sorry it happened is presumptuous to the max. Those who are wallowing in this story are the same familiar ones we watched throughout the campaign, dredging through every sewer they could find (aka the MSM) to come up with more to put in front of us, to discourage us from voting for this man - and now to discourage us from supporting him and his policies, which are making such great and good changes in our country.

The same tired articles from the same tired writers, promoted by more familiary #NeverTrumper names.

Surpeise, surprise. Trump has a thing for beautiful women, he wows them, and if he really likes them he marries them. Trump has been married three times. Stormy didn´t make the grade. In spite of all that, he is still better than the competition he drubbed in 2016, many of which had their own personal problems. There were a few on the Republican side that were more honest than Trump, but they never caught on. Mainly because their political views and experience lacked appeal.

We were voting for President. Not sainthood.

The charge of hypocrisy gets trotted out . . . again. The usual claims of character and principle, on and on, invoked by the Never Trumpers. For a generation conservatives have seen their values weaponized against them by the Left, who believe not at all in character, principle, values. And over the years these genuine values were exploited cynically in anticipation of the usual reaction that conservatives would get on their hind legs, roll over, and bark on cue to the familiar charges. And now for many of us that isn´t working any more.

Quite the opposite. I am not going to defend my values for people who have none. And I am going to demonstrate character by not being played for a fool.

Trump may or may not have slept with a porn star. Ted Kennedy definitely abandoned a young woman to die in a submerged car. When it turned out that Clinton had introduced the behavior of a bawdy house into the Oval Office and was enabled in his abuses by his wife, the Left tutored us all on zones of privacy. So it is their hypocrisy that is conspicuously on display, and at issue here. They have made it impossible to take moral direction from the likes of them. That shaming ploy has been drained of whatever force it may have once had, as far as I´m concerned.

When the Democrats say, “He’s not my president,” they aren’t kidding. Most Democrats still refuse to accept the result of the 2016 election, and their party consistently refuses to extend to President Trump the routine cooperation that makes our democracy function. The most blatant example of this is the Democratic minority in the Senate. The Democrats under Chuck Schumer have abused longstanding Senate rules and courtesies in a way that we have never seen before. On Friday Marc Short, the administration’s Director of Legislative Affairs, joined Sarah Sanders at a White House press briefing. He laid out the facts regarding the

Fox News senior judicial analyst Andrew Napolitano explained Monday why he believes the firing of FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe could be viewed as "obstruction of justice." (Snip) Napolitano said he sees the firing as "reckless" and "vindictive" because McCabe is "more likely than not to be a witness" against Sessions´ boss, President Trump. "Firing him in that environment could very well be interpreted as an effort to diminish his effectiveness as a witness. What´s that called? Obstruction of justice," said Napolitano, adding he´s unsure if Special Counsel Robert Mueller will pursue such a case. Napolitano said on "America´s Newsroom"

Officials in a Minneapolis school district are trying to figure out why black students are suspended three times more often than their white peers, according to a Sunday report. Black students have a 338 percent higher chance than white students to be suspended at Justice Page Middle School in Minneapolis, Minn., according to The New York Times. Black students make up 41 percent of the Minneapolis school district’s student body, but 76 percent of its suspensions. The black students constantly tell the principal, “The teacher only sees me,” Justice Page Principal Erin Rathke said. She responds, “Yes, that’s probably true.”

Last week on Dutch public broadcasting’s KRO-NCRV, Hillary Clinton shot down the notion of Ivanka Trump becoming the first female president of the United States. Partial transcript as follows: HOST EVA JINEK: Apparently Ivanka Trump wants to be the first female President of the United States. HILLARY CLINTON: That’s not going to happen. JINEK: No? CLINTON: No. JINEK: How come? CLINTON: No, we don’t want any more inexperienced Trumps in the White House. JINEK: I would think normally I would like to believe what you are saying but I also learned after these elections that things that we don’t except

SAN FRANCISCO — A woman in Tempe, Ariz., died after being hit by a self-driving car operated by Uber, in what appears to be the first known death of a pedestrian struck by an autonomous vehicle on public roads. The Uber vehicle was in autonomous mode with a human safety driver at the wheel when it struck the woman, who was crossing the street outside of a crosswalk, the Tempe police said in a statement. The episode occurred overnight, although the authorities did not specify whether it was late Sunday or early Monday. The woman was not publicly identified. An

James Kallstrom is no joke. With nearly thirty years in the FBI, several of them as the Assistant Director, Kallstrom knows how the agency functions far more than most. So when he says there was a plot to protect Hillary Clinton from prosecution and to illegally influence the 2016 Election people should pay attention. Kallstrom goes on to call the entirety of the FBI investigation against Donald Trump completely phony. Maria Bartiromo’s own take appears very much to compliment Mr. Kallstrom’s assertions. The Deep State shenanigans run very deep and in 2016 are linked to the Obama White House. Barack Obama

The firing of Andrew McCabe, the discovery of his “private notes,” the ill-tempered response by other Obama loyalists and a yet to be disclosed Inspector General’s report on an investigation that began before Donald Trump had come to office are all pieces of a story that dwarfs the still absent evidence of anything Trump and company did to cooperate with Russians in changing votes in Michigan and Wisconsin. So many Democrats and Republicans have asserted the lack of evidence in the Russian collusion issue its become comical if not annoying to endure as the uninformed continue to argue otherwise. But few have

A retired United States Army lieutenant colonel and Fox News contributor quit Tuesday and denounced the network and President Donald Trump in an email to colleagues. "Fox has degenerated from providing a legitimate and much-needed outlet for conservative voices to a mere propaganda machine for a destructive and ethically ruinous administration," wrote Ralph Peters, a Fox News "strategic analyst." "Over my decade with Fox, I long was proud of the association. Now I am ashamed," he wrote.

Police in Glendale, Wis., are currently seeking the public’s help in identifying an irate McDonald’s customer who assaulted a teenage employee after receiving the wrong breakfast order. The suspect and a friend reportedly pulled up to the drive-thru of the McDonald’s just before 11 a.m. on March 18, where they placed an order for a breakfast sandwich with bacon, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. But upon receiving a breakfast sandwich with sausage instead, the woman became angry. “What the [expletive] is this? I didn´t order no sausage biscuit,” said the woman, who then threw the food back at the

A fundraising email from the Democratic National Committee today featured a member of the Congressional Black Caucus vowing that the country could not go back to the days of segregated schools and lunch counters. The subject line of the email is Rep. Barbara Lee (D-Calif.) saying, "I boycotted Trump´s inauguration. Here´s why." (Snip) "After riding racism and fear to the White House, Trump is now pushing policies that harm people of color, immigrants, and working people. For many of us, his presidency represents an attack on our very existence," she said. "But we cannot afford to give up hope. There

President Trump says he didn´t collude with Russia in 2016, promising something to a foreign country in exchange for his installation as president. That seems increasingly likely to prove true. Where they do not spring from simple malignancy, critics’ arguments that Trump used Russian intervention to win the election are mostly an excuse to avoid the plain truth that Hillary Clinton deservedly lost because she was an awful candidate. And the country is better for that result. We aren’t persuaded, either, that the Russians’ paltry $100,000 in Facebook spending had anything to do with Trump’s win, given that very little of it

Congressional Black Caucus members want the bombings in Austin, Texas, to be classified as “terrorist attacks” — and are calling on officials to determine whether they are “ideologically or racially motivated.” While the two young men injured in the most recent blast are both white, all of the other victims have been either black or Hispanic. “We cannot stand idly by while our communities are under attack,” reads a statement from the concerned Black Caucus members — which include Chairman Cedric Richmond, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) and Homeland Security Committee Ranking Democrat Bennie Thompson, of Mississippi

Failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton defended her controversial comment trying to explain why the majority of white women voted for her opponent Donald Trump.“As much as I hate the possibility, and hate saying it, it’s not that crazy when you think about our ongoing struggle to reach gender balance – even within the same household,” she wrote in an over 800-word Facebook statement defending her comments.Clinton drew fire from Republicans after she told an audience in India that white women did not vote for her in 2016 because they faced “ongoing pressure” from their husbands, male bosses, and sons to
