Media step back from Democrat
´blue wave´ predictions

Washington Examiner [DC], by Eddie Scarry

The national media are scaling back their prediction for a Democratic "blue wave" in the 2018 midterms, in light of a new poll that shows some Democrats are vulnerable and a healthy GOP turnout in Texas this week. Fueled in part by Republican-backed tax cuts that increased the paychecks for most people, Republicans and President Trump have seen their own poll numbers rise, and what was previously viewed as a coming reckoning by Democrats has stalled. The website Axios on Thursday published a poll that showed “big warning signs for Senate Democrats.” It noted that in 10 states where Democrats are

What I want to know is what states like Texas plan to do to forestall things like the Walking Dead vote and the count-every-vote traitors. This election is to important to act like nothing´s wrong or to succumb to the usual charges of racism and the like.

#1, Texas requires a photo ID to cast a vote. Vote registration cards are automatically renewed each year. But, if a person doesn´t vote, he or she must re-register the following year. My husband (for the first time ever) requested and received an absentee ballot which required an application deadline, two trips to the election headquarters and a couple of phone calls before he finally received it.

Massive vote fraud would be difficult, although I´m sure some slip through.

Like almost everything about the Left, the wave was a fantasy, a persistent delusion. The hard Left dreams about things like impeachment and reparations. The somewhat rational Left dreams about winning elections.

Meanwhile we see them donning their pink hats screaming out their hashtags in vain. They try to attribute today´s successes to do nothing BO, the incompetent and ineffective. They think they are "woke" but they cling to long eliminated grievances while refusing to face the failure of handling their own responsibilities. They trot out repeatedly failed policies that are still failing in the news today in Venezuela and California. Their "leaders" are buffoons and criminals.

And in the face of all this they still don´t understand how it could be that they, the beautiful, the brilliant, the righteous, the entitled are not in charge.

How can the Rats possibly lose any seats and not gain seats with this wonderful platform:

´´We hate Trump.´´

´´Tax-cuts for the middle class and everyone else are a terrible thing and we´ll revoke them.´´

´´Illegal immigration is a great thing and we´ll do away with ALL borders. America is a welcoming country. As everyone knows, the majority of people don´t mind a tax increase to help the illegal poor and down-trodden.´´

´´Republicans are all racists.´´

´´FoxNews and conservative talk radio should be shut down.´´

And own and own and own.....

Wow, if only the RINO Republi-CAN´Ts in Congress that keep blocking major legislation (McPain, Fluke, etc, etc) would just get the message, the Republicans could win in a landslide in November!!!!

Start by destroying Ovomitcare, and defund Planned Infanticide (oops, I mean "Parenthood"), and the base -- plus many independents -- are going to get really fired up and vote in November!!!

Of course, that is the last thing the RINO Republi-CAN´Ts want. They want the Demon-RATs to take over again. They hate President Trump more than they even love power. That is disgusting!!!!!

President Trump says he didn´t collude with Russia in 2016, promising something to a foreign country in exchange for his installation as president. That seems increasingly likely to prove true. Where they do not spring from simple malignancy, critics’ arguments that Trump used Russian intervention to win the election are mostly an excuse to avoid the plain truth that Hillary Clinton deservedly lost because she was an awful candidate. And the country is better for that result. We aren’t persuaded, either, that the Russians’ paltry $100,000 in Facebook spending had anything to do with Trump’s win, given that very little of it

After months of back and forth, the Weinstein Company has officially filed for bankruptcy. The disgraced company, founded by Harvey Weinstein and brother Bob, was supposed to be sold to Maria Contreras-Sweet and an investor group before the deal fell apart several times. Weinstein Co. will be sold to Dallas-based Lantern Asset Management for between $300 million and $320 million, according to Variety. “The company hopes that this orderly sale process under the supervision of the Bankruptcy Court will allow it to maximize the value of the Company’s assets for the benefit of its creditors and other stakeholders,” the company

Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Scott Pruitt will soon end his agency’s use of “secret science” to craft regulations. “We need to make sure their data and methodology are published as part of the record,” Pruitt said in an exclusive interview with The Daily Caller News Foundation. “Otherwise, it’s not transparent. It’s not objectively measured, and that’s important.” Pruitt will reverse long-standing EPA policy allowing regulators to rely on non-public scientific data in crafting rules. Such studies have been used to justify tens of billions of dollars worth of regulations. EPA regulators would only be allowed to consider scientific studies that make their

Trump-Russia special counsel Robert Mueller is authorized to investigate "any links and/or coordination between the Russian government and individuals associated with the campaign of President Donald Trump." The popular word for that is collusion, and it remains at the heart of both the Mueller and the Senate Intelligence Committee investigations. (Majority Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee recently announced they were unable to find evidence proving collusion.) While much about the Mueller investigation remains unknown, we do know the indictments he has filed and the pleas he has reached with various figures in the case. There are some, including charges against

Hillary Clinton reliving her presidential election sounds like Miss Havisham talking about her wedding day. They both, one senses, harbored great expectations that became great resentments. The letdown of the loss, of an office and of a husband, unleashed psychological torment. The latter copes by donning her bridal gown; the former, by periodically playing pundit pontificating on why a benighted electorate rejected her. Both characters exude a Dickensian quality in that they come across as such, well, characters. Around the time she tripped over her feet in India last weekend Mrs. Clinton tripped over her words. She blamed her electoral loss on

Announcing that she has filed for divorce from her husband, Donald Trump Jr., Vanessa Trump wrote: “We ask for your privacy at this time.” That isn’t quite what she meant — apparently, nobody in the Trump family ever will speak English as fluently as Melania — but the sentiment was predictable enough. What is it about former Democratic presidents that they can’t leave the arena? They leave, then come back, then go quiet for a while, and just when you think you’ve gotten rid of them they spring back into the headlines again. Jimmy Carter set the example here. For nearly four decades the man’s been jetting around the world as though his presidency never ended—meeting with foreign leaders and dictators, offering his services as an election monitor in places where fair elections were certain not to happen, making critical and sometimes acerbic comments about his successors and their policies, insinuating himself

President Donald Trump has joined the legal fight over whether a woman is bound by an agreement she signed in 2016 to keep quiet about their alleged affair. Stephanie Clifford, the adult film performer and director known as Stormy Daniels, sued Trump and the company set up by longtime Trump lawyer Michael Cohen in 2016 to pay Clifford to keep quiet. Lawyers for that company, Essential Consultants (EC), filed a notice Friday afternoon in California to remove her case from state court to federal court and asserted that, under the 2016 agreement, they could seek damages of at least $20 million. The episode occurred overnight, although the authorities did not specify whether it was late Sunday or early Monday. The woman was not publicly identified. An

James Kallstrom is no joke. With nearly thirty years in the FBI, several of them as the Assistant Director, Kallstrom knows how the agency functions far more than most. So when he says there was a plot to protect Hillary Clinton from prosecution and to illegally influence the 2016 Election people should pay attention. Kallstrom goes on to call the entirety of the FBI investigation against Donald Trump completely phony. Maria Bartiromo’s own take appears very much to compliment Mr. Kallstrom’s assertions.
