An activist group has launched a voter registration effort aimed at black voters at screenings of the “Black Panther” movie nationwide. Members of the Electoral Justice Project, an offshoot of the Movement for Black Lives, are seeking to motivate black voters and increase political engagement with the #WakandaTheVote campaign, the website Blavity reported. Wakanda is the fictional African nation featured in the long-anticipated Marvel film “Black Panther.” Kayla Reed, Jessica Byrd and Rukia Lumumba founded the Electoral Justice Project last year, and told Blavity that the movement has been effective “because we meet our communities where they are, whether that´s

Heavy sigh. I love how they give names to their groups that are anything but about ´electoral justice.´ How many illlegals did they register.

Just how many regular normal whites may go to see this flick? Not me. I doubt there´s enough blacks in this country who go to movies to help it earn a profit. It may end up going straight to Netflix.

Register in person with three forms of ID, one a valid birth certificate and the other a photo ID and lastly a utility or rent bill showing residency. Other than that, throw the app out. Voting registrations are a State function, not a federal one.

Of course if it were Caucasians registering to vote at the Sound of Music it would be considered totally racist. But there is no way that black people can ever be considered racists, right?

Long-anticipated? If I never see this "look at me, I´m black" fantasy it will be too soon.

What white person in his right mind would enter a theater full of hyped-up on black power teens? It would be like walking through Harlem with a beanie and a propeller on your head and humming Dixie.

Those who go to see this movie are in the moment. Getting them to get their heads out of their cell phones long enough to vote is considerably more difficult. Dems know this. Voter registration on the left is about optics, PR, and giving credence to pollsters who oversample registered dem voters.and vote fraud.

Tribal culture, both here and there, makes the women do all the work while the boys hang out and get high. Besides, an advanced civilization requires a lot of math and science and engineering. I saw it this weekend. It´s a good comic book movie. Marvel does this kind of thing well. It´s going to be very successful and profitable.

The Black Panther comic hero was created at roughly the same time the Black Panther Party was formed, but the two were not inspirations for one another.

I think the movie is being overly praised for the obvious reasons, and I could have done without some of the political undertones, particularly during the end credit scene. But I enjoyed it overall.

And my track record on this site should reassure you that this is not a left wing point of view talking.
