This Is Legitimately The Worst Rendition

Daily Wire, by Hank Berrien

And now, ladies and gentlemen, for your viewing pleasure, the first rendition of the national anthem at a major sporting event that would be more appropriate for some steamy scene from a movie than honoring those who have fought for the United States of America. Here is Fergie singing the anthem at the NBA All-Star Game on Sunday. Viewer discretion advised: (Video) Reaction varied from hilarity at Fergie’s screeching to jokes about how she was attempting to make Francis Scott Key into a composer of a song more appropriate for the bedroom to simple outrage that Fergie would dishonor the

I just saw this terrible rendition of Fergie´s SBB. I did not watch it live just like I won´t watch "black exploitation" film "Black Panther".

I maybe dating myself...but did it remind anyone else of Marilyn Monroe singing "Happy Birthday Mr. President" to JFK in 1962?

All that was missing was the skin tight dress.

"Now let us play some basketball"

Consider the source, in the future perhaps they should make an effort to have singers that are proud of their country and national anthem. It has a range that is not that easy for everyone to sing, so instead of making a fool out of themselves, the singers should just sing it as written.

Did someone finally top Roseanne Barr in destroying our National Anthem? Please, let´s get back to using professional singers. Or a military marching band. I want my country to be honored, not laughed at.

I did not think her actual voice was bad. It was the way she chose to sing it that was horrible. Like a steamy nightclub song. That was strange.

Consider the venue. Consider the source. This was a deliberate mockery of our anthem and our country. But we should thank Fergie and her fellow travelers in the NBA for continuing to expose leftism for their ungrateful America hatred.

well, this is another one of those"she knew exactly what she was doing" sort of stories.
she has the "pipes" to sing it well, but chose to belittle the anthem as she belittled herself while singing it.
if she only knew just how lucky she is to live in this country she would treat our anthem with more respect.

Charles Barkley´s comment about needing a cigarette afterward was the best.

Patti LaBelle´s at the ´08 World Series was the worst. The Anthem should be sung straight and with respect, not embellished to death by a show off chanteuse enjoying the spotlight. It´s not about the singer; it´s about the Flag and the Nation.

She was probably drunk or otherwise high, and sung her disrespectful and ridiculous rendition of the National Anthem on purpose in a manner that clearly did not impress the NBA players and the fans who hear the anthem sung before every basketball game. That really is both the league’s and the team’s fault, as you would think they would audition the singers beforehand, either personally or by video, to ensure that the proposed rendition was appropriate, professional, and respectful.

So, why would anyone expect her to know anything about singing a real song? That inner city trash/noise would drive out any sort of singing skill she might have had.

Me, not so much. I can´t stand it when singers try to remake the anthem into some sort of pop song.

We would all be better off if a respectful recording of our anthem were played at these venues.

On Thursday, as excerpts from former FBI Director James Comey´s new book, “A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership” were released, the mainstream media exclaimed in paroxysms of exultation that the book was redolent with bombshells that could genuinely hurt President Trump. But every supposed bombshell was a nothingburger. Let’s take a look at the claims that were supposed to shake the world: 1. Comey writes that when he had dinner with Trump, Trump asked him to investigate the unfounded charge from the infamous dossier that he had watched Russian prostitutes peeing: He brought up what he called the “golden

The Mark Zuckerberg who arrived at the Hart Senate Office Building on Tuesday afternoon very much resembled an adult. His hair was cut short. His dark-blue suit fit well. His presentation was polished, without glibness or arrogance. He said, “Yes, Senator” and “No, Senator,” with the slightly bemused deference of a curator giving a museum tour. The android-smooth forehead, now thirty-three years old, still appeared unmarked by age or adversity, but there were no flip-flops or pajamas this time; a small loosening of Zuckerberg’s Facebook-blue tie knot was his only variation from the Capitol’s accepted forms.
