PARKLAND, Fla.- Students who escaped the deadly school shooting in Florida focused their anger Sunday at President Donald Trump, contending that his response to the attack has been needlessly divisive."You´re the president. You´re supposed to bring this nation together, not divide us," said David Hogg, a 17-year-old student at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in South Florida, speaking on NBC´s "Meet the Press.""How dare you," he added.Hogg was responding to Trump´s tweet Saturday that Democrats hadn´t passed any gun control measures during the brief time they controlled Congress with a supermajority in the Senate. Florida, Florida, Florida. The saga continues. Imagine how great an already great presidency could be if all these people would accept the fact that Hillary lost, would go find something productive to do, and let the President concentrate on important things that will benefit just about every American.

The best thing one can do to reduce (will never stop) this from happening is to arm the staff and teachers. Make it voluntary. Provide monthly training and be visible. Have a senior citizen patrol at the entrance of every school. Have a single entrance for every school that can be watched and closed down if necessary, not allowing someone with a gun in. Metal detectors and bulletproof glass.

With all respect to the decency and true generosity of a previous poster, I don´t think young Mr. Hogg is "grieving." I think he´s an ambitious little liberal prig who thinks he can get national publicity from adoring liberals, perhaps even a gig preparatory to a political career. This is his 16-yr.-old Bill Clinton-meets-JFK newsreel. He can see it now!

With all due respect #6, what do a bunch of 17-year olds have to offer in a discussion with President Trump? Yes, they can sob hysterically about their experience, scream at him to "do something" and it might make great ads for the Dems, but as for offering any meaningful dialog on the issue of mass shooting, these kids have nothing to offer. There are plenty of laws in place that if followed, would have prevented this shooting: the local police could have charged him with a crime during one of his 30+ encounters with them; the FBI could have followed up on either of the calls they received reporting his intentions; or if the FBI was too busy chasing the Russian collusion story, they could have referred it to the local authorities.

Let´s not elevate these "well-spoken" victims to the pantheon just yet.

#6 that´s quite a cartoon construction you´ve built there. Emotional, barely informed about guns, laws, history, the public good, etc. as equivalent to an elected President who has absolutely shown more ´courage´ than previous Presidents and probably you. What do you think these children would propose that hasn´t already been done somewhere in the US? What breakthrough are they holding back that would challenge this man? Screaming incoherently, they could probably do that, but ´well spoken´ come on. You just hate Trump. Don´t pretend to dress it up by propping up emotional children who were betrayed by the FBI, Police and their school. Even you have to admit President Trump can´t do everybody´s job for them.

#6- President Trump has more courage than the entirety of the Republicans in Congress. President Trump has put his life on the line, and endangered his family, because of his love for this country.

#10#15- Well said. These teenagers are hurting or traumatized; however, it is clear many are being enticed, lured, and mobilized much like rent-a-mobs. The Left seeks any means to an end—in this instance, gun control. Pay attention to the coached chants, talking points, and professional signage, and consider the financial aspect for travel (transportation, food, lodging). Innocent, frightened children, being “used” for left-wing political ambitions.

Only now has Trump´s economic policy become clear: Trump squeezes out companies from abroad and forces them to relocate to the United States. On Friday, March 23, 2018, new tariffs for steel and aluminum, signed by President Trump on March 8, came into effect. Two weeks have passed, and the promised apocalypse of the world tariff war did not happen. The reaction of America´s leading trading partners somehow turned out to be muted and unconvincing and, in many cases, just nothing, as if nothing had happened. Why? After all, according to the TV hysterics, Trump went against the fundamental idea
