For the LGBT Community, Gus
Kenworthy´s Olympics Loss Is Still a Big Win

Pyeongchang - The moment, when it happened, felt routine to American slopestyle skier Gus Kenworthy, who along with figure skater Adam Rippon is the only openly gay male Winter Olympian to ever compete for the United States. Matthew Wilkas, Kenworthy’s boyfriend, gave Kenworthy a good-luck kiss before a qualifying run on Sunday in South Korea. “That was like a peck,” Wilkas, who wore a “USGay” t-shirt to the event, tells TIME afterwards from the bottom of the slopestyle course at the Phoenix Snow Park. “We should have made out in front of people.” Kenworthy didn’t know the TV cameras caught

He finished Dead Last in last night´s event. He even skipped the final jump. You aren´t at the Olympics to make a political statement, but to perform your best.

His screaming mother, waving a rainbow flag, was also a nice touch. She and the boyz made quite a threesome.

Johnny Weir was the first gay skater to perform at the Olympics. He just didn´t get into the face of the viewers like Rippon is doing. Rippon is the first gay activist skater to be in the Olympics, but not the first gay skater.

Why do these gay people feel the ´compulsion´ to display their attitudes to the public and to basically shove it in our face ? It is unfathomable to me. To Reply #7, I believe it was Scott Hamilton, but he didn´t flaunt his gender bias, was a courteous gentleman, great skater, extremely likeable person, and excellent Media host. Lastly, TIME magazine sucks and belongs where you find it, in Doctor´s offices, where sick peple can read their biased, liberal garbage. Just my personal opinion.

You want to know why a backlash is coming for homosexuals? All you have to do is watch the IN YOUR FACE garbage NBC is foisting on its audience. Can anything be more disgusting than watching two bearded men kiss? Well, yes, NBC is more disgusting for making this Olympics all about the wonderfulness of abnormal people and their abnormal sexuality. And, this idiot writer is worse for trying to make those two seem normal.

I think the first Olympic ice skater was the first gay skater. All of the previous skaters knew to just skate your best and people would enjoy your ability and pretend that everything else was cool.

#7 you forgot about Brian Boitano. He won the gold in 1988. In the link below it states that he "won the gold medal, wearing skates with American flag appliqués that are now part of the collections of the National Museum of American History." Can you imagine the insufferable Rippon or Johnny Weir doing that? Of course not. They would be wearing the rainbow flag instead.

So then, in your face. A kiss is pretty weak representation, accept that you define yourself by your sexual preference. Go for the whole enchilada, that´s representing.

Or mind your own business and respect others.

His attitude, regardless of success, is symptomatic of why the LGBT community does so poorly in America. Not content with being tolerated to live their own lives and philosophies, they scream for attention, picking fights with everyone that does not worship their choices.

He could have won Gold in every event that he entered, but he only earned the contempt of every non-activist, in America. His rudeness only shows he is unsuited for the world stage.

There really is no need for NBC and Time to be making these folks out as heroes.

Just making it to the Olympics is a grand feat in itself.

Evidently, there are many who are not paying attention to how the television and cable media have taken over the march to present gays

It´s saturated all over. There are many more black people in the media.

This soft approach to make everything normal is having an effect, but the "in your face" tactics of some are really counterproductive.

Greg Louanis had tremendous athletic glory who won MANY medals in Olympic competition, and yet he never made outrageous and obnoxious displays of himself trying to get attention while coatailing others....

We have watched him and the formerly (when she was 12) insufferable Tara Lipinski do some amusing turns at the Olympics and at the major races like the Kentucky Derby. How ignorant Time writers are. John Curry, who won the 1976 Olympic gold medal was gay. He died of Aids in 1994. When Aids first became prevalent, many skating coaches died. And the skating community mourned them. These leftists in the media as usual, have no idea what they are talking about. They are too lazy to do any investigative reporting. Also, while devoting all of their energies towards force feeding and reinforcing their SJW ideology, they count on the readers´ ignorance and when a contradictory fact does pop up, the writers suppress it doing whatever possible to keep the readers ignorant. These writers are not "reporters". They are Propagandists for the Left.

At this moment, competing in the Olympics is the job of these athletes. Anything - ANYTHING - that distracts them from this should be pushed aside.

Kenworthy didn´t get the memo. If the Olympics are the most important thing to him, he shouldn´t be flaunting his private life. If his private life is the most important thing to him, he shouldn´t be at the Olympics.

WASHINGTON — Rod J. Rosenstein, the deputy attorney general, has asked federal prosecutors to help review the government documents of Judge Brett M. Mr. Rosenstein’s request was an unusual insertion of politics into federal law enforcement. But in an email sent this week to the nation’s 93 United States attorneys, Mr. Rosenstein asked each

NEW YORK — Starbucks is going strawless. The coffee company announced Monday that it will phase out plastic straws from all of its stores by 2020. The changes will help Starbucks eliminate more than 1 billion plastic straws per year, the company said. Plastic straws contribute to ocean pollution and pose a danger to marine life. Some governments have begun banning them. To eliminate straws, Starbucks is transitioning from the flat, plastic lids that require them, to ones that feature a raised lip you can drink from. Meghan Markle‘s smile is hiding fear, stress and the pressure of adjusting to her new royal duties, her father said in an interview published Sunday. “I think she is terrified,” Thomas Markle told The Sun. “I see it in her eyes, I see it in her face and I see it in her smile.” “I’ve seen her smile for years. I know her smile. I don’t like the one I’m seeing now,” he added. “This is a pained smile.”The newly-minted Duchess of Sussex, 36, is struggling to cope with the transition from TV actress to a member of the royal

The man who co-wrote “The Art of the Deal” said Sunday he believes President Trump’s faculties are diminishing — and that he feels obligated to sound the alarm. “We are in a true emergency,” Tony Schwartz said on CNN Sunday. “And the accelerated rate at which his breakdown or decompensation is occurring is cause for us, and certainly for me, to come on to TV more often, to tweet more often.” Schwartz told CNN’s Brian Stelter that he felt comfortable making that assessment because he had “spent an enormous time with [Trump] over a period of 18 months.”(snip)Stelter pointed out that Schwartz

The indictment Friday of 12 Russian military officers for the election hacks against the DNC and Hillary Clinton’s campaign lends a surprising new detail to the 2016 election interference timeline: The Kremlin’s hackers apparently still maintained a foothold in the DNC’s network four months after the Democrats announced that they’d locked the intruders out. Until today, the story of the DNC hack ended promptly on June 14, 2016, when the Democrats went public with the intrusion in the pages of the Washington Post, and Crowdstrike, the security firm hired to respond to the breach, published a detailed technical account. Today’s indictment confirms

Anyone who has ever been to a recycling plant is invariably surprised at how dirty and nasty America’s favorite green activity really is. Trucks dump the material on a long conveyor belt, where a few dozen people pick through by hand what is supposed to be recyclable material, but more and more often is just plain old dirty trash. The recyclables used to be worth something more than bragging rights about liberal moral superiority. Plastic bottles, newspapers, and cardboard, were just a few of the favorites you could ship to China by the ton and make a few bucks along the

Americans are encouraged to embrace diversity and be culturally sensitive to those who have flouted our laws and invaded our nation. Meanwhile, illegal aliens arriving in America have no such requirement. Instead, trespassing tribes relocate, and when they do, rather than assimilate, they transfer habits and activities indigenous to the countries from whence they migrated. Thus, Americans suffer from illnesses that are easily traceable to third-world bathroom habits (TWBH) and lack of hygiene in the developing world. It´s not news that illegals work in restaurants as food-handlers. These restaurant workers migrate from

Watching FBI agent Peter Strzok battle with Congress, my initial reaction was pure anger. His repeated, arrogant insistence that he had done nothing wrong despite tons of evidence to the contrary convinced me he deserved immediate firing — if not the firing squad. Gradually, though, anger gave way to amazement as Strzok grew increasingly combative and condescending. Given his predicament, the sneering and smirking were stupid, and yet he persisted. Who is this jerk, I wondered, and how in the hell did he get to be a big shot at the FBI? And why are taxpayers still paying for the privilege of

The left-wing terrorist organization that calls itself Antifa is “freaking out” over a proposed law that would enhance penalties for anyone who “injures, oppresses, threatens, or intimidates any person” while wearing a disguise or mask. Throughout our country, and for a number of years now — and primarily because the establishment media fantasizes about, promotes, enflames and approves of the violence committed against the right (naturally, HuffPo opposes the unmasking law) — Antifa has been allowed to run rampant, committing countless acts of violence against everyday, peaceful supporters of President Donald Trump.

The White House Correspondents’ Association released a statement defending CNN from President Donald Trump’s refusal to take a question from the network on Friday. “In response to the President lashing out at NBC, CNN and The Sun: Asking smart, tough questions, whether in a presidential press conference or interview, is central to the role a free press plays in a healthy republic,” said WHCA president Margaret Talev. “Given that the president took a question from a CNN reporter in his NATO news conference just a day earlier, maybe he was letting off steam today rather than expressing an official stance

A 13-year-old girl in Alabama was beheaded because she saw her Sinaloa Cartel-associated granny stabbed to death by drug traffickers, authorities have said. Mariah Lopez, 13, and her grandmother Oralia Mendoza, 49, were killed on June 4 in Moon Cemetery outside of Huntsville, Alabama, prosecutors revealed in court on Thursday. The new details in the case came in a hearing for 26-year-old Yoni Aguilar, who along with 34-year-old Israel Palomino is charged with two counts each of capital murder in the slayings. At the hearing, investigators testified that the grandmother Mendoza had ties to the Sinaloa Cartel,
