North Dakota Republican Rep. Kevin Cramer announced Friday plans to run for Senate against Democratic incumbent Heidi Heitkamp. The decision is sure to come as a relief to Washington Republicans who had been pressuring him to reconsider his decision last month to stay put in the House. With Democrats fighting hard to seize control of the House this fall, Republicans are determined to hold onto their narrow majority in the Senate, now at 51-49. Heitkamp, a Democrat in a deep-red state that went overwhelmingly for President Trump in 2016, is thought to be one of the most-vulnerable senators this cycle. But until

This is the first of 10 Democrats to get knocked out of the Senate. Those 10 Democrats in states Trump won are toast. The Republicans will have over 60 seats in the Senate after this election.

We need to pick up about 5-6 seats in the Senate this go around. Maybe 7 since Mittens is running in Utah.

We need a slew of kick-butt repubs, not like some we have now. Kinda useless and worthless. We want mouths with things to say, ideas to put into action. Anyone know anyone like that.

And some with eye off the ball have stated vote for anyone but Romney in Utah--a sure seat.

Utah fiscally conservative. Hope other GOPers like Cramer help keep the numbers. Even Olympia Snow is a GOP number.

And McCain? Is he running-I hope not.

I´ll never understand how a deep red state like N Dakota would elect a Shumer-Pelosi rubber stamp like Heitkamp to begin with. GOP needs to get its act together and start pounding some of these democrat placeholders.

It wasn’t that long ago when North Dakota had a Democrat for governor, both Senators were Democrats and so was the lone Representative. The Washington trio all worked their way up in State government before they got their all-expenses-paid time in the Federal Capital, where they nearly wore-out the words “fight” and “fighting” in their messages back to North Dakota. Heidi has been accumulating a huge amount of money for what is going to be, I fervently hope, her losing re-election campaign.

On Monday, the House Intelligence Committee closed its inquiry into Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election, much to the chagrin of the liberal media. The committee confirmed that the Russians were indeed trying to cause chaos in the election, claimed they weren’t out to help candidate Donald Trump specifically and that there was no collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia. But during their evening broadcasts, ABC and CBS downplayed the findings while NBC ignored them. CBS Evening News only gave 31 seconds to the House committee’s findings. “Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee said there was no collusion
