Three North Texas high school students — one each at Marcus High in Flower Mound, Plano West and South Garland — were arrested Thursday after reportedly taking guns to their campuses a day after the deadly shooting in Florida. The Marcus High and South Garland students each face a charge of carrying a firearm in a prohibited place. The Plano West student also may face a felony charge. The weapons were not fired, and there were no injuries at the schools. Also Thursday, an Arlington junior high student was arrested after allegedly making threats to shoot the school, and a Weatherford teen was

It certainly seems a fact well demonstrated now that when we have a shooting or similar tragedy like this the publicity mania sparks many of the unstable and/or silly children into a ´me too´ state of mind. I sure psychologists & urban studies scientists have a name for such phenomenon.

Agree #1. How many of these shootings are inspired by some sicko´s desire to be the next infamous mass killer.

I know there are first amendment considerations here, but one could make a case of "serious public need" for legislation that puts a news blackout on all such events.

My guess is the first kid was defending himself, as that´s a very top-notch school in a very good community. The others listed, not so much.

Texas law states students in State funded Universities can conceal carry on campus. Too bad Texas doesn´t REQUIRE teachers in the public school system carry at all times too. World would be a safer place.

One of the coldest regions of the world saw some rain Thursday — a shower of silver and gold, that is. A plane carrying 9.3 tons of precious metals lost part of its cargo Thursday as it was taking off from Yakutsk Airport in Siberia, scattering treasure across the runway as it gained height. Gold bars fell out of the Nimbus Airlines Antonov AN-12 cargo plane and landed as far as 16 miles from the airport, according to the Siberian Times. The plane had been taking off after refueling at the airport when its cargo door flew open. At least 3.4 tons

President Trump is moving closer toward shaking up his administration in a big way, according to sources familiar with his thinking. The Washington Post reported Thursday night that Trump had decided to fire H.R. McMaster, his national security adviser. Shortly after the story broke, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders responded to the Post’s reporting on Twitter: “Just spoke to @POTUS and Gen. H.R. McMaster - contrary to reports they have a good working relationship and there are no changes at the NSC.” It was, notably, not a denial of the Post story or that President Trump had decided

Kristian Saucier, the U.S. Navy sailor pardoned by President Trump Friday, harshly criticized the Obama administration during a Saturday morning interview with Fox News’ Pete Hegseth. Saucier was charged and jailed in October 2016 for taking photos onboard a nuclear submarine in 2009. He believes his case was an attempt by the Obama administration to “take the heat” off of the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server at the State Department.

My husband and I managed to raise six children on a very limited income, (as I was a stay at home Mom for 15 years), sending them to private Catholic schools for twelve years. Now we enjoy watching them do the same with our 13 grandchildren. What is disheartening, however, is how today´s children are being systematically exposed to issues we parents never had to contend with raising our own decades ago. Is it liberalism or just plain evil that´s taking away the innocence of childhood? Why on earth should kindergarten curricula include lessons on gender reassignments or anything to

It’s not doing anyone any good except hurting a lot of people,” she told KTTV cameras. The nun dropped dead in the courthouse hours later during a post-judgement hearing. PARKLAND – CBS4 News has obtained new information in the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School massacre which left 17 people dead. An official briefed on the shooting investigation tells CBS4 News that the carnage could have been far worse. Investigators believe self-confessed gunman Nikolas Cruz had planned on using a vantage point on the third-floor stairwell on the west side of the building to shoot at students as they fled the building. Cruz attempted to create this sniper’s nest by shooting out the glass window in the stairwell, firing 16 rounds into the impact glass. Luckily, the hurricane proof window did not

The Supreme Court heard oral arguments Monday challenging laws in 22 states and the District of Columbia that force public employees to pay unions to represent them, even if they disagree with the union’s demands and politics. Mark Janus, a child-support specialist and public employee in Illinois, claims his First Amendment free-speech rights are violated when he’s forced to pay money to a union — the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees. One way to make sense of the onslaught of political corruption investigations and prosecutions in recent years is to understand it as our legal system trying to draw the line between political misbehavior that is merely shady and that which is outright criminal. Instead of looking at each of these cases in isolation, it makes more sense to see them as a pattern — and one that should provide some at least limited reassurance to President Trump, Prime Minister Netanyahu, and their supporters. Begin with the Republican governor of Virginia, Robert McDonnell. He and his wife were indicted on federal

Wolff, who was interviewed from London for Australia’s morning talk show “Today,” walked off the set after claiming that he was unable to hear questions about his allegations that Trump is having an affair. But evidence emerged that the journalist was perfectly able to hear the questions, which were posed by host Ben Fordham. Footage from “Today’s” London studio showed that Fordham’s questions could be heard in Wolff’s earpiece.

Friday´s firing of FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe by Attorney General Jeff Sessions, based on a report from the Office of Professional Responsibility, is only the beginning of what is likely to be the most explosive series of revelations in American history. Forget Watergate. It will be the distant past once the Inspector General´s reports—there apparently will be more than one—start to come out. This will be the "Gate of Gates." From the FBI and across the intelligence agencies an astonishing number of people are going to find themselves accused, one can safely predict at this point, of some atrocious behavior in
