The 24 things Michelle Obama said
that you´ll be quoting all week

Indianapolis Star, by Amy Bartner*

As former first lady Michelle Obama spoke to a sold-out room of more than 13,000 people at Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Tuesday, she dropped quotable line after quotable line. Michelle Obama: Here´s how women can stop selling themselves short. Here are the 24 quotable moments you´ll be repeating for (at least) the rest of this week: 1. On growing up with extended family close by: "The most important role models that you have are right in front of you." 2. On the one thing she wishes parents knew: "Kids don´t need a lot of stuff. I didn´t have a lot of stuff. ... I just

I knew all of you would want to save this so you could reflect on the moving, inspirational thoughts from Mooch. NOT. All she does is yap about race. It is so very tiresome. When they asked her about being a ´fashion icon´ (seriously?) Mooch said she just wanted to look cute. Oh sigh. She failed. Why did it take three reporters to write that bilge?

Like, you know, where and by whom, pray tell….

I am sure they had everything under the sun plus every advantage: traveling on Air Force One, foreign trips and vacations to exotic islands. Not the kind of childhood I had.

Michelle Obama is about as "deep" as a square of bathroom tissue, and of far less use.

As I recall, her stump speech in 2008 always contained the "They told me I wasn´t good enough" line. Somebody, I think it was George Will, responded: "No Michelle, you weren´t good enough, but we took you anyway."

And now we´re stuck with her, and too many others like her.

Yeah, they left that one out, didn´t they, #22?

So uttering one banality after another is considered quotable? She and her husband have that in common -- the mundane becomes profound when it comes from their mouths. The media is so credulous in their hero worship.

#12, among others, doesn´t apply to either of them in any way, shape, or form.

Keith Olbermann is expanding his role at ESPN — but it was nearly even bigger. The largest aspect of Olbermann’s expanded role with ESPN is that he will co-host around 20 “SportsCenter” 11 p.m. shows. Olbermann’s rise to national prominence came when he and his partner, Dan Patrick, hosted the program they dubbed “The Big Show.” Sources said ESPN considered offering Olbermann the full-time 6 p.m. “SportsCenter” show, but ultimately decided against it for a variety of reasons, including logistics, as the show will continue in Bristol and Olbermann lives in New York. The 6 p.m. show ultimately went to

Obama’s former DNI Chief James Clapper told CNN last Thursday “it was a good thing” the FBI was spying on Trump’s campaign. This was after he initially denied the Intelligence Community was spying on Donald Trump. Clapper told CNN it was a good thing if the FBI had someone “observing” the Trump’s campaigns interaction with the Russians because the “Russians posed a threat to the very basis of our political system.” (Snip) Now this… Clapper is continuing to change his story. Today he told Axios the deep state spying on Trump was actually “Benign version of information gathering.” Via Zero Hedge:

Is it unthinkable that the Federal Bureau of Investigation would spy on a presidential campaign for political purposes? I can personally attest that it has happened before—during Barry Goldwater’s 1964 campaign. Every poll agreed that President Lyndon B. Johnson would easily win the election against the conservative Sen. Goldwater of Arizona. But LBJ wanted a landslide so he could implement his Great Society vision without resistance and go down in history as one of America’s greatest presidents. (Snip) Thus was born Johnson’s “Anti-Campaign” to smear Goldwater’s candidacy. The operation was run from the second floor of the West Wing by

Failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton said she would like to be CEO of Facebook. Speaking to an audience at Harvard University, alongside Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey, Clinton was asked what company, if any, she would like to be CEO of. Clinton said she made Facebook her choice because the social media giant is the “biggest news platform in the world.” “We can listen to really brilliant, experienced writers like David Ignatius and try to keep up with the news,” continued Clinton “But most people in our country get their news, true or not, from Facebook.” Clinton went on to talk

NPR reports: Netflix said in a statement that the Obamas would "produce a diverse mix of content – including docu-series, documentaries and features" under their imprint, Higher Ground Productions.
