Hybrid Warfare is Dangerous
PJ Media, by Richard Fernandez

Original Article

Posted By:Hazymac, 2/13/2018 11:02:50 PM

The death by airstrike of a large number of Russian "mercenary troops" allegedly attacking a US backed position in Syria is reminder that hybrid/proxy/low-intensity conflict is not without risk. The New York Times described the scale of the incident. "Aleksandr Ionov, a Russian businessman working in Syria offering security and other services ... estimated after conversations with associates in several private military organizations that more than 200 Russians might have been killed. ... not all those killed were Russian: Some of the paid fighters came from other countries that were once part of the Soviet Union."

God bless President Trump. If the Hussein Lap Dancer had been Prez, there would have been 200 dead Americans instead of 200 dead Russian mercs.

The media who´s been ginning up taxpayer funded war with Russia should be thrilled with news the US or US backed forces killed 200+ Russian soldiers in Syria. Even Trump administration personnel such as Tillerson, Pompeo, and Jeanette Manfra from DHS continue to flog lies about Russia, claiming without evidence that Russia hacked the 2016 election and that it will definitely try to hack the 2018 midterms. Ms. Manfra is especially contemptuous as she conflates terms like scan, target, manipulate, and hack. Tillerson statements broadcast on Fox News are potentially slanderous as he said US voting system (run by states) is unprepared for what Russia will do in the next election. The national Secs. of State group has already objected to Ms. Manfra continually saying Russia ´actually penetrated´ several states. They say there were no Russia ´penetrations´ with possible exception of some voter lists in Illinois. Has anyone demanded a recount of Illinois? 63 million Trump voters voted for detente with Russia. Apparently, Trump didn´t win.

200 dead Russian mercs? Had they been under Russian military command we might be talking about 20,000.

Screwing with the US military is very, very dangerous. We are the most lethal military the planet has ever seen. Oppose us at your peril,
Almost two companies wiped out.

Well done, US troops.

Perhaps the Russians will tread more carefully next time.

What a convoluted and confusing article. I´m more confused after reading it than before. Richard again preaches the Russians interfered in 2016 elections and are preparing to do so again(as usual, without a shred of evidence) which is exacerbating the situation in Syria. After quoting the WaPo without question, Richie digs into Trump as being aloof and paralyzed by Washington gridlock.

There is hardly one thing accurate in this flop of an article. Everything written here could have been written by a 10-year-old and no one could tell the difference. Pool little Richard is obviously out of his league here, yet that didn´t stop him from dragging out his crayons and opining on a subject he´s obviously clueless on. Sorry to be so negative here, but this was an important area for concern well worth a strong investigation. Too bad you won´t find it in this article.

Reecently, the Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee released a memo officially stating that there is no evidence of any collusion between Donald Trump and Russian intelligence during the 2016 presidential election. Of course, you might not have heard this news if you have been punishing yourself by watching or reading any of the mainstream news. For its part, the mainstream media continues to prop up the improbable narrative that Donald Trump is a Russian agent of influence who is out to corrupt our democracy in Vladimir Putin’s name. Not only is the mainstream media dutifully covering the ongoing Robert Mueller

Is Russia´s Nerve Gas Attack in

The British government has directly accused Russia of using a very sophisticated chemical weapon ---a "poison gas" in common idiom -- in a failed attempt to murder a former Russian defector and his daughter. A vengeful Kremlin assassination team prowling Britain sounds like a scene in a Cold War spy novel and the botched March 4 homicide has Cold War echoes. The targets, former Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter, Yulia, were sitting on a park bench in Salisbury, England. However, immediate 21st century contexts matter. Vladimir Putin´s Russia is an especially relevant context. Putin´s Kremlin is currently engaged in global

Russia’s attempted murder of former Russian spy Serge Skripal and his daughter Yulia on British soil is an act of war, isn’t it? Austin Bay takes up the question here. I take it that if it’s not, it may be close enough for government work. Someone remind me. What did President Obama do about Iran’s attempted assassination of the Saudi ambassador to the United States in Washington, DC. Whatever it was, I think he followed up by secretly delivering pallets of cash to Tehran. It must not have been that big a deal after all. The Russian attack is said to have

The performance of British Labour party leader Jeremy Corbyn in Parliament on Wednesday was the political equivalent of this: [Video] Today, Prime Minister Theresa May announced in Parliament her decision to expel Russian intelligence officers in the aftermath of an attack on U.K. soil. The attack, in which a Russian-developed nerve agent made Sergei Skripal and his daughter critically ill, should have prompted Corbyn to offer solemn condemnation of Russian President Vladimir Putin´s state aggression. Instead, Corbyn played perfectly into the hands of Russian propaganda messaging and again proved he´s a Kremlin stooge. First, Corbyn asked if the British government had

Rex Tillerson’s departure from the State Department is an opportunity to correct the fossilized received wisdom that for years has hampered our foreign policy. His replacement, CIA Director Mike Pompeo, seems likely to rejuvenate State by bringing a more realist philosophy to our relations with the world. From the start Tillerson was a dubious pick to implement the president’s policies, and his differences with Trump were predicated on the same assumptions evident in Barack Obama’s two terms. Obama is the epitome of the globalist idealism that dominates Western political and business elites. In their view, interstate relations and conflicts are best

Today students were excused from classrooms all across America to participate in demonstrations in favor of firearms bans of one sort or another. These were anything but spontaneous actions organized by children. Rather, the anti-gun demonstrations were condoned, if not sponsored, by school administrations that are almost universally liberal. And the teachers’ unions played a part too. (Snip) Ironically, the demonstrations in favor of school safety featured, in some instances, attacks on non-conforming students. At one Minneapolis high school, two students stood apart from the throng calling for more gun control. One of them carried a sign that said “Blame

Tuesday’s conviction of Andrew Cuomo’s close associate Joe Percoco deals a sharp blow to the Governor’s 2020 Presidential hopes and may even jeopardize his reelection prospects this year. Percoco was Cuomo’s executive deputy secretary and longtime confidant. He was found guilty of soliciting and accepting bribes from top management of two companies with state business. This was quite a downfall for Percoco, a man so close to the Cuomo family that Andrew had once referred to him as his father’s “third son”. The man who killed Tarpon Springs police Officer Charles Kondek in 2014 suffered from head trauma that likely impaired his judgment at the time of the shooting, according to his attorneys. That diagnosis is how the defense hopes to convince a jury to spare Marco Antonio Parilla, Jr. from being sentenced to death. Defense attorney Bjorn Brunvand told the Tampa Bay Times his client has "brain abnormalities" that can affect decision-making. Parilla underwent two brain imaging scans that will be discussed by experts during his two-week sentencing set to begin Tuesday with jury selection. The American campaign against Russia´s use of nerve gas on British soil opened in the UN Security Council. Ambassador Nikki Haley held Russia responsible for the attack. "If we don’t take immediate, concrete measures to address this now, Salisbury will not be the last place we see chemical weapons used ... This is a defining moment." The recommendation from the FBI’s Office of Professional Responsibility is likely to add fuel to the political fire surrounding former deputy director Andrew McCabe, who abruptly stepped down from his post earlier this year but technically remained an FBI employee.
