In Defense of Evangelicals
Who Support Trump

Frontpage Mag, by Dennis Prager

It is usually easier for an outsider to defend a person or a group that is attacked than for the person or group. In that vein, this Jew would like to defend evangelicals and other Christians who support President Donald Trump. They are regularly attacked as religious hypocrites who give Christianity in general, and evangelical Christianity in particular, a bad name. The people writing such things are often Christians, including evangelicals. Ross Douthat, New York Times columnist, wrote: "Whether the subject is the debauched pagan in the White House, the mall-haunted candidacy of Roy Moore or the larger question of

Dennis Prager is an exemplary American, a great educator even if left bent Google and Facebook think him otherwise. How can he fight back against anti-conservative prejudice in high places and win? Whatever, I´m on his side. And am an evangelical Christian. May G-d bless and keep Dennis Prager.

Given the choice between Trump and Hillary, I´ll go for Trump a million times out of a million. The Lord has His hand on PDJT, confounding the "wise" by using Trump to teach them some humility, time and again. And again.

One of my closest longtime friends, as in decades, is an Evangelical Christian. She was the first one I knew who came out for Donald J. Trump, and she’s never faltered.

Is President Trump a really faithful Christian? No, I honestly don´t believe he is.

But we didn´t elect him as POPE!!!!!

We elected him as president. Given the choice of Trump or the Hilldebeast, at least Trump stood for Christian values in important areas (like abortion). The Hilldebeast was the antithesis of EVERYTHING Christian!!!!!

As a Southern Baptist, there was no question that I was going to vote for Trump (and AGAINST she-Satan Hilldebeast). So far, I am very happy with my choice, and he has my vote again in 2020 as it stands today!!!

Sure, I would love to see a good, faithful, Conservative Christian run for office. But you know the evil LIE-berals crucify them when they try. So we take the best we can given the choices available. And if you are a Christian who actually believes in Christ Jesus, that will NEVER be a Demon-RAT!!!!!!

A friend of mine has likened President Trump to Samson who was called to defeat the Philistines. Paraphrasing, I also recall Camille Paglia stating that she could imagine President Trump defeating the establishment Republicans, establishment Democrats and the establishment (mainstream) media. If President Trump has been sent in response to the prayers of the millions who love our Republic, one nation under G-d, then I am grateful that He has heard us.

The Holy Spirit, who is sometimes a wild and crazy guy, has placed His hands on Donald J. Trump. I am absolutely convinced of that.
And Matthew 18, toiling in the vineyards, comes to mind.
The last shall be first, and the first, last.

The theme of foreign intervention in American elections just got bigger after Judy Woodruff recently tweeted that "James Clapper ... personally concluded Russians not only influenced but DECIDED outcome of 2016 election." TAMPA — The three people accused in the street racing death of a 24-year-old Ohio woman have been released on bail while police continue to investigate the crash along Bayshore Boulevard. Tristan Christopher Herrin, 20, a passenger in the car that fatally struck an Ohio woman on Wednesday, was released from the Hillsborough County jail around 3 a.m. after posting $500 bail on a misdemeanor charge of racing, jail records show. He was the passenger in a black 2018 Ford Mustang that was driven by his brother, 18-year-old Cameron Herrin, who hours later was released after posting $10,000 bail. Cameron Herrin and 17-year-old

During recent testimony before the House Education and the Workforce Committee, Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos said that “the issue of reporting undocumented students is a ‘school decision’ and ‘local community decision,’ adding that ‘we have laws and we also are compassionate.´” That is an accurate, well-balanced statement: for better or worse, Americans do not have a legal duty to aid law enforcement. But it wasn’t good enough for the American Civil Liberties Union, which tweeted: "Any school that reports a child to @ICEgov would violate the Constitution. SCOTUS has made clear that every child in

In March, Attorney General Sessions wrote to three Republican congressman, declining to appoint a special counsel in the matter of the FBI, CIA, Obama administration and... and... frankly, I don´t know what to call it, since there is so much from the Clinton Foundation to the emails to the FISA court to who knows what.... because, the AG said, a special counsel necessitated "extraordinary circumstances." I sympathized somewhat with Sessions at the time. Special counsels do not have the best track records. Often they are appointed for dubious politicized reasons. On Monday, Reuters/Ipsos announced that the Democratic Party´s strong lead on the generic ballot question, which had remained stable for most of 2018, had rapidly collapsed over the prior week. The #BlueWave narrative -- the media´s all-but-concluded assumption that Democrats would retake the House of Representatives from the GOP in November -- has largely been based on the state of the generic ballot poll. So you might assume the media tasked with covering the 2018 midterm elections would immediately react to a sudden shift in the most important metric available for predicting the most important outcome of those

Among the real-life Norwegian phenomena made gentle fun of in the 2012-14 Netflix series Lilyhammer, starring Steven Van Zandt as a New York mobster who has moved to Norway under the Witness Protection Program, were natteravnene -- the “night ravens,” groups of unarmed citizen volunteers, including little old ladies, who patrol the night streets to talk wayward youths out of breaking the law. The concept is a quaint one, originating in a time when virtually all crimes committed in the middle of the Norwegian night were petty misdemeanors and when the perpetrators were Norwegian kids who, if confronted on the

One of the worst features of both wind and solar energy is that they are terrible for the environment. Land-based wind turbines are bad enough, but offshore installations are a fiasco waiting to happen. Steve Goreham writes at Watts Up With That? "Several eastern US states are planning major investments in offshore wind. Wind turbines are touted as clean, green, and economically sound. But experience from around the world shows that offshore wind systems are both expensive and at high risk for early system degradation. FORT LAUDERDALE — A safe prediction about the 2018 election in Florida is that Gov. Rick Scott will get trounced in Broward County for a third time. The deepest blue county in the state soundly rejected Scott in both of his races for governor in 2010 and 2014. But Scott won both races, and a big reason why is that Broward underperforms in midterm elections as Democrats vote with their backsides and stay home. Now Scott is a Republican U.S. Senate candidate, and Broward has been transformed by the Marjory Stoneman Douglas school shooting in February. But whether the tragedy changes the
