There is more to this story, I imagine. Certainly passive aggressive behavior on the part of the parents. Voting for his opponent is one thing, but contributing the maximum to the opponent´s campaign is downright pathological.

It´s not hatred it´s ignorance. My parents voted dimmo-crap their entire lives without even knowing the candidates. Dad was in the Teamsters´ Union and that´s what they told him to do.
