Bill Murray: Identity Politics Have Made
Comedy ‘Harder and Harder’

Breitbart Big Hollywood, by Jerome Hudson

Legendary Hollywood actor and comedian Bill Murray praised the GOP tax cuts law, slammed identity politics, and applauded the reckoning against sexual abusers in Hollywood in a CNBC interview. “How can Kristen Wiig make everyone laugh?” Murray asked of the Saturday Night Live star, denouncing an identity politics he said makes being a comedian “harder and harder.” “She’s not thinking about being political, she’s thinking about what resonates and what is common to all of us, and I think that’s harder and harder to do because people are trying to win their point of view as opposed to saying ‘What if I

The left has done this to themselves. They have no sense of humor anymore. Other than Trump attacks, skits and rude jokes about him and his family. The left has become one big immature mean girl club.

Leftist intolerance isn´t just the death of comedy--that´s collateral damage--it´s the death of humanity.

Unlike many of his reflexively and fashionably leftist fellow entertainers, Bill Murray understands libertarian tax principles such as, for instance, that lowering the corporate tax rate to an internationally competitive range (as has been done: from 35% to 21%) will stimulate a lot of business activity, which is to the benefit of all. I don´t remember him being all that political before, and he´s only hinting at his capitalist beliefs here, but I believe I could have a beer with him.

Trump Calls Off Cold War II

Beginning his joint press conference with Vladimir Putin, President Trump declared that U.S. relations with Russia have "never been worse." He then added pointedly, that just changed "about four hours ago." It certainly did. With his remarks in Helsinki and at the NATO summit in Brussels, Trump has signaled a historic shift in U.S. foreign policy that may determine the future of this nation and the fate of his presidency. He has rejected the fundamental premises of American foreign policy since the end of the Cold War and blamed our wretched relations with Russia, not on Vladimir Putin, but squarely on the U.S.

How does Donald Trump test the patience, forbearance, loyalty and endurance of the millions who trusted him to drain the swamp, restore a strong American voice in the world, cast out evil-doers and deliver America from the clutch of those who would trash the dream? Let us count the ways. President Trump put that trust to the test Monday in Helsinki, when he climbed into the lap of Vladimir Putin and purred like a feral kitten. Mr. Trump talked with the Russian president for four hours, two of those hours with no one around, and emerged to question the conclusions of

The Europeans wrote the book on how to be successful deadbeats. We got another demonstration of that at the NATO summit this week in Brussels. Some of the chief practitioners of the art of welshing on a debt take a fulsome pride in their deadbeat pedigree. Donald Trump, with his usual barn dance through the china closet, rebuked the easy riders with plain-spoken tweets even before he arrived in Brussels, warning that the summit might not be the usual tea with crumpets on the side, as favored by diplomats of delicate disposition. “Getting ready to leave for Europe,” he tweeted en route.

If Mitch McConnell’s Senate can confirm his new nominee for the Supreme Court, President Donald Trump may have completed the capture of all three branches of the U.S. government for the Republican Party. Not bad for a rookie. And the lamentations on the left are surely justified. For liberalism’s great strategic ally and asset of 60 years, the judicial dictatorship erected by Earl Warren and associates, may be about to fall. Judicial supremacy may be on the way out.

With never-Trump conservatives bailing on the GOP and crying out for the Party of Pelosi to save us, some painful truths need to be restated. Unlike the Bourbons after the Revolution and the Terror, after Napoleon and the Empire, no restoration is in the cards. It is over. In the United States, where President Trump has promised to unshackle the coal industry and to abandon an international climate change treaty, greenhouse-gas emissions fell last year and are expected to continue falling. In Europe, where political leaders consider climate change an urgent priority, emissions rose last year. Though today’s Republican party is viewed increasingly through the lens of the seemingly rudderless Donald Trump and his populist adherents, many on the right are disenchanted with this vision, and they’re ready for a change. Unsettled conservatives would do well to turn to South Carolina senator Tim Scott, a man who has illustrated in just a few short years that he has both the desire and the capacity to rebrand conservatism for a new age. When Scott entered the U.S. Senate in 2013, he was the first African-American senator from the South since Reconstruction — and, like those earlier senators, a Republican.

No. But it´s not an unimportant issue, either, and Trump knew the American press is obsessed with it. So he knew it would play a big role in the Trump-Putin post-summit news conference. There are all sorts of aspects to the Trump-Russia affair, but in light of special counsel Robert Mueller´s decision to indict 12 Russian intelligence agents on the Friday before the Monday summit, the president also knew reporters would want to hear him specifically affirm
