Diversity Bridge Is Falling

Well, that is damned inconvenient. A state-of-the-art pedestrian bridge hailed as the inevitably wondrous result of diversity in engineering has collapsed within days of being paraded before the media. Did I say inconvenient? I should have said symbolic. “Diversity Bridge” (that’s not the structure’s official name, but I think it fits) was designed to connect Florida International University to the city of Sweetwater, where many FIU students and staff reside. The bridge, installed (though not yet opened to the public) a mere four days before its failure, spanned a busy Miami highway, and the collapse crushed cars and people underneath.

James Kallstrom is no joke. With nearly thirty years in the FBI, several of them as the Assistant Director, Kallstrom knows how the agency functions far more than most. So when he says there was a plot to protect Hillary Clinton from prosecution and to illegally influence the 2016 Election people should pay attention. Kallstrom goes on to call the entirety of the FBI investigation against Donald Trump completely phony. Maria Bartiromo’s own take appears very much to compliment Mr. Kallstrom’s assertions. The Deep State shenanigans run very deep and in 2016 are linked to the Obama White House. Barack Obama

So we had a terrific weekend in which Jeff Sessions canned Andrew McCabe. The swamp is draining. But let us face the reality: the swamp is larger and deeper than we thought. Let us look at the facts. For eight years (likely more) the Democratic Party has used national security fears to spy on Americans. Do you think they began with Trump and confined themselves to political opposition? Unmasking -- disclosing to political operatives who was spied upon and what they said -- was common. (Snip)This was not a leak. This was espionage. And more than a year later, we

Things are proceeding swimmingly. How is it possible to outline the biggest political corruption scandal in modern U.S. history; which utilized the full weight of the institutions of government and the vast intelligence community; against the predictable tide of a mainstream U.S. media apparatus who will shout ‘conspiracy theory’; while every single entity associated with the collaborative effort will protect the group behind the scandal? There’s the challenge. How do you introduce the scale and scope of corruption to almost half the country who have relied upon the false narrative delivered by fake news for the past two years?Answer: You assemble

Former CIA Director John Brennan reacted to the firing of FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe — and President Donald Trump’s celebration of it — by tweeting a strident attack against Trump: (Snip)The president’s critics seem to like Brennan’s tweet. In fact, it confirmed what Trump has been saying all along: that the senior leadership of the intelligence and federal law enforcement services had become highly politicized. A hundred years ago, the sun never set on the British Empire. These days, England’s rulers are blowing out the candles and telling the citizens to enjoy the darkness. Last week brought news of yet another sexual grooming scandal of underage girls perpetrated mostly by Muslims with roots in the Middle East upon poor and lower-class indigenous British girls. This follows similar scandals in the towns of Rotherham, Rochdale, Derby, Oxford, Bristol, Banbury, Aylesbury, and Keighley. This time the scandal involves the West Midlands town of Telford. An 18-month investigation by The Mirror led reporters to describe the situation as

Leaving no stone unturned in digging into President Trump’s reported collusion with Russia to steal the 2016 election, sources familiar with Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team’s published leaks posit the investigation has undertaken a groundbreaking development: the exhumation of former Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev. Disinterring Khrushchev from his marbled tomb in Novodevichy Cemetery, Moscow, could inflame Trump enablers’ already desperate claims that Mueller’s investigation is far afield from its original mandate. But Russia-gate analysts are unmoved. “There’s a reason it’s called a ‘counterintelligence’ investigation,” asserted Rolf Diggs, a teaching assistant specializing in Soviet-era animal husbandry. “Sure, Americans remember Khrushchev’s 1959 visit to the

It’s obvious. Donald Trump’s entering the political fray in 2015, throwing his hat in the ring to run for president, forced Andrew McCabe to abandon integrity and good sense. Any possibility that this brash, unqualified, business mogul might cross the Oval Office threshold had to be prevented at all costs, and McCabe was one of those compelled to stand strong for that rightful cause. At least, that’s how he and much of the Swamp think about their desertion of ethical standards. There could be no higher calling than to oppose the ascendancy of Trump to the most powerful office in the land. Under

Officials in a Minneapolis school district are trying to figure out why black students are suspended three times more often than their white peers, according to a Sunday report. Black students have a 338 percent higher chance than white students to be suspended at Justice Page Middle School in Minneapolis, Minn., according to The New York Times. Black students make up 41 percent of the Minneapolis school district’s student body, but 76 percent of its suspensions. The black students constantly tell the principal, “The teacher only sees me,” Justice Page Principal Erin Rathke said. She responds, “Yes, that’s probably true.”
