Report: CNN to Lay Off up to 50 Employees

Joe Pompeo writes at Vanity Fair that CNN, led by its president Jeff Zucker, will soon lay off dozens of employees — mostly from “several high-profile digital initiatives” — after the left-wing news network failed to reach revenue targets. From Vanity Fair:[D]espite the so-called Trump Bump, CNN appears to be re-thinking at least some elements of its digital strategy. I’ve learned that CNN, a key property in AT&T’s planned takeover of CNN’s parent company, Time Warner, is targeting big savings on the digital side, with as many as 50 jobs around the globe scheduled to be eliminated this week, according to

Why didn’t CNN just claim that they exceeded all of their revenue targets? It has no problem with making up negative stories about Trump so why not create false positive stories about itself? Besides, the majority of CNN’s audience are rushing for planes at airports so they wouldn’t have time to tell the difference between fake good results and actual bad results.

To #4´s point about being able to totally ignore CNN, unfortunately, they remain a default choice for many TVs in airports, gyms, waiting rooms, etc.

I would certainly cheer their demise and the professional career of Jeff Zucker, too.

No liberals, Obama or Clinton sycophants, were harmed in the layoffs.

But this will require CNN to change their usual 6 liberals to 1 conservative ratio to 8 to 1. And the 1 will be optional.

Department of Homeland Security officials lambasted the president of a Border Patrol union for calling President Trump´s border deployment of the National Guard a "colossal waste of resources." As of Friday, National Guard troops assisted U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers and Border Patrol agents in apprehending 4,116 illegal immigrants, turning back 1,182 people, and seizing 3,486 pounds of marijuana since April 15, according to new DHS data first obtained by the Washington Examiner. Yet National Border Patrol Council President Brandon Judd, who originally supported Trump´s April 4 executive order, said Friday he has "seen no benefit" to the project.

The Trump administration moved Friday to officially revoke an Obama-era program designed to entice foreign entrepreneurs to move to the U.S. to invest their cash in businesses here, saying the previous administration overstepped its powers. The revocation, if it becomes final, would be yet another blow to President Obama’s attempts to rewrite the immigration system by executive fiat — a policy that also included the DACA deportation amnesty for illegal immigrant “Dreamers,” a broader prohibition on deportations of most illegal immigrants, and new programs to allow more people to enter legally. The International Entrepreneur program fell into that latter category, with
