When will it stop? Conservatives who

Washington - Tea party Republicans arrived in Washington seven years ago with a clear, loud message from angry voters: Slash spending. But once again, spending is going way up. “Part of our job right now (is) that we keep pounding that Republicans still stand for fiscal responsibility,” said Rep. Mark Walker, R-N.C., who chairs the House Republican Study Committee, a coalition of conservatives. But he was on the losing side as the House early Friday cleared a massive two-year spending package that President Donald Trump quickly signed into law. Sixty-seven Republicans voted against the two-year budget plan that became law Friday, but 167

People were beginning to compare him to the Great Ronald Reagan, and now THIS

It is like the popular revolution that started the Tea Party to return to our roots and condemn Nobama´s over reach on spending was all a joke.

One simply cannot be called a "conservative" when they SPEND and create BIG GOVERNMENT like the demonrat socialists.

Wryly said "at this point, what difference is there between Mr. Trump and the backstabbing RINOcrats and the competition??

#5, that´s what the Democrats who forced this extra spending on social programs is hoping for.

They won´t need as many votes to take back the House, impeach Trump, then just watch the spending spree.

When Bush was in office he had the fiscal year deficit down to $180 billion, then the Dems took over the House and Senate his final 2 years, ratcheted up the spending, and then kept going.

They are the spending problem.

Republicans should campaign on finding ways to improve efficiency´s, increase productivity and reduce overhead.

Democrats will always push for more government bureaucracy, which is more tax dollars to support.

My big concern is the Dems have likely already ensured the increased military spending will benefit their districts than Republican districts.

The UniParty (both wings) will not stop building this house of bureaucratic cards to enrich its donors until it collapses.

Our only hope to avert the collapse (short of war - global or civil) is to form and elect a new party not funded by traditional donors, work our tails off, and dig out of it. We must be politically patient: it will take years, if not decades.

Ultimately, the Demon-RATS + the RINO´s in Congress, will continue to spend like drunken sailors at a brothel on a 3-day pass.

The few real conservative Republicans in Congress can talk, but they can´t really do anything. It´s that simple. If they had fought this bill, the military would have suffered and the Republicans would gotten the full blame in the MSM.

The only hope is to vote out all Demon-RATs and RINO´s. But sadly, with the snowflake generation coming up, the only real hope is Civil War II!!!

Saw a headline today saying they passed a 4 trillion dollar budget. Isn´t that the same as the Obama years when we had no budget? Think the budget under George W. Bush was also 4 trillion. So, how much did it go up? Would not trust the media to accurately report this. That definitely includes McClatchy.

Sadly, this is business as usual in Washington. Not sure how much of this is Trump´s fault. He has to work with what Congress gives him in certain respects.

Thing to remember is everything in the budget is important to someone. In many cases its important to millions of people. There are no easy answers here.

Guessing Trump is hoping to boost the economy to the point of having enough revenue to pay for everything. Doubt that´s going to happen. Sooner or later there has to be cuts.

I view Trump more as a nationalist than a Conservative. He´s still better that any Washington establishment alternative. Not sure there are any real FISCAL Conservatives in Washington.

In the end this justifies voting out more Congress critters. Both parties.

If, as many geniuses have believed, civilization depends on individual restraint, then in order to maintain restraint, we require certain outlets for the primordial feelings of anger, aggression, and resentment that we experience throughout the course of life. Premodern societies, with their frequent wars, provided more opportunities for discharging these impulses. By contrast, in our feeble, post-Christian country, anyone who is what used to be called a plain dealer—honest, frank, and direct—may be thought to have “anger management issues,” to engender “a hostile work environment,” to have “oppositional defiant disorder,” or God-knows-what. Therefore, although our therapeutic culture values nothing so

Five of us from The Washington Times were invited to Pyongyang in April 1992 by Kim Il-Sung, the grandfather of Rocket Man. The man called “the Great Leader,” regarded as the founder of the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea, wanted to open his hermit kingdom to the world, and we were the first Western newspapermen to test whether North Korea could withstand a regiment of editors and reporters in their midst for 11 days. When we got to town we were astonished to find Billy Graham there already. What in the world was the most famous Christian evangelist on the planet

Anti-bacterial wipes pointless as bugs

Anti-bacterial wipes only eradicate bacteria from kitchen surfaces for 20 minutes and using them to keep germs at bay is "an absolutely redundant" exercise, a scientist has said. Dr Clare Lanyon, a biomedical scientist from Northumbria University in Newcastle upon Tyne, said consumers may be wasting money on antibacterial wipes and sprays because common germs, which can replicate themselves in just 20 minutes, quickly recolonise back to original mass even if just one single cell is left over. She said bar soap was found to be more effective at destroying bacteria because they tended to contain ingredients that broke down cell walls.

NEW YORK—Back in the bad old days of the cocaine epidemic, there was a sheriff in Jasper County, Texas, who was visited one morning by four federal agents—two from the FBI and two from the Drug Enforcement Administration. It was a courtesy call. (snip) Fifteen minutes later, both brothers arrived at the county courthouse to turn themselves in. Washington measures everything and everyone by politics, and dysfunction is the new game in town. Rant and rage has become the lingua franca of the nation’s capital. Taking the measure of Robert Mueller’s indictment of 13 Russian cybernauts for interfering on Vladimir Putin’s behalf in the 2016 presidential campaign is easy. The indictments will never lead to a trial; they were not intended to do that. The bad guys are safely at home in Moscow, never to be seen again in the United States. But the indictments were a necessary career move for Mr. Mueller. No one outside his circle of friends

For the past year, chief executives have often talked about the new sense of moral responsibility that corporations have to help their communities and confront social challenges even when Washington won’t. What if the finance industry — credit card companies like Visa, Mastercard and American Express; credit card processors like First Data; and banks like JPMorgan Chase and Wells Fargo — were to effectively set new rules for the sales of guns in America? Collectively, they have more leverage over the gun industry than any lawmaker. And it wouldn’t be hard for them to take a stand.

John Kasich’s inner circle is gearing up for a possible presidential run in 2020 — actively weighing the prospect of a Republican primary challenge to President Donald Trump against the feasibility of a long-shot general election campaign as an independent. And there’s one consideration driving their thinking perhaps more than any other: what some of his advisers consider the very real, maybe even likely, possibility that Trump doesn’t run again — by choice or not — or that the president becomes so politically hobbled by late next year that the political landscape fundamentally shifts in Kasich’s favor.
