CNN´s Bizarre Praise of Kim Jong Un´s
Sister at the Winter Olympics

Townhall, by Tim Meads

Original Article

CNN ran an absurd story Saturday afternoon, seemingly praising the sister of one the world’s most evil dictators for “stealing the show” at the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea. The piece starts off, saying, “If ´diplomatic dance´ were an event at the Winter Olympics, Kim Jong Un´s younger sister would be favored to win gold.” Hailing Kim Yo Jong as North Korea’s “answer” to Ivanka Trump, CNN claims that “with a smile, a handshake and a warm message in South Korea's presidential guest book, Kim Yo Jong has struck a chord with the public just one day into the PyeongChang Games.”

When did progressives not heap words of praise on any communist leader who has killed and tortured their people? That these awful people can show their faces in the world and actually receive praise from the media is disgusting. The hypocritical media is enabling the worst of the worst to be given a modicum of respect they do not deserve. They should be shunned and shamed but that is something that the left reserves for good and decent people. The media should force them to take responsibility for the awful, dangerous, and inhuman conditions their people are forced to endure.

Kim Jong Un´s younger sister was the first member of the NK ruling family to be in South Korea since 1953. She sat right behind Vice President Pence and his wife.

She even leaned forward to Pence and said something. She said " DOWN IN FRONT!"

More and more it seems that ´leftist´ thought is simply the reverse of common sense. Show us a situation where reasonable people will have a commonsensical response and the left goes 180 degrees in the other direction. It comes down to the fact that they want to shock the bourgeoisie and show you how much more sophisticated they are than you. What it actually demonstrates is that they´re unreflective and uninformed idiots.

Were it not for two facts, every one of the North Korean athletes and cheerleaders at the Olympics would defect to South Korea. First, they are all under constant surveillance by the army of security forces who accompanied them. And second, even if they could evade their guards and successfully defect, all their family members would be executed. Kim Jong In and his phony sister are ruthless despots with no concern for the welfare of anyone in North Korea except themselves.

America is entering the next phase in #MeToo: Where do the accused go from here? Last week Shaun White won a historic third career gold medal in the snowboarding halfpipe at the Winter Olympic Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea. The celebration was tempered by a sexual-harassment lawsuit filed against him by a former bandmate, Lena Zawaideh, which was settled last year.In USA Today, Christine Brennan wrote that White and other men at the Olympics have “flown under the radar of ‘Me Too,’?” while Josh Levin at Slate scolded NBC for looking the other way.

Former New York Times Executive Editor Jill Abramson served only three years in that role; she was reportedly fired in 2014 for an ill-founded complaint about her compensation and for her "brusque" workplace manner. Her editorial competence was not questioned, however. In the era of #MeToo equalizing the perpetrators of rape with those of inadvertent microaggressions, perhaps no one remains in elite New York media qualified to make such a judgment, anyway. This week, Abramson´s reputation seemingly landed her a 4,000-word New York magazine cover story, which resurrects the sexual harassment complaints against Justice Clarence Thomas:

The former chief lawyer for the Federal Election Commission said that Michael Cohen’s public statement confirming that he “facilitated” a $130,000 statement to a porn star in the closing weeks of the 2016 election may have been a “colossal screwup” that raises the chances that the agency could launch a formal investigation. The corner of Atlantic and Bedford Avenues in Crown Heights is Ground Zero of this middle-income neighborhood’s high anxiety. For the last two years, neighbors have complained to anyone who will listen that groups of men become an occupying force in the sidewalks around the huge 350-bed Atlantic Armory Men’s Shelter. On several recent mornings, the men were out en masse. Two Department of Homeless Services police officers leaned against the fence outside the 800-bed red-brick shelter. About 50 feet away a man nonchalantly urinated against the facility wall. Across Pacific St., men were sprawled on chairs and milk crates.
