Dan Rather rips Trump for defense of Porter:
´This is a low for the country´

Former CBS News anchor Dan Rather tore into President Trump after Trump defended a former aide who was accused of domestic violence. "Mr. Trump once again proves he is indifferent to the fate of anyone other than himself. This is a low for this country that is nothing about politics. We can debate tax cuts and immigration policy and how we fund education. We can disagree about the size of our military or the best balance for protecting the environment. That is democracy," Rather wrote in a Facebook post."Debating whether credibly accused wife beaters should be allowed the honor (and

I guess we Republicans need to drag old Bill Clinton, the Rapist! Someone Rather and ALL Democrats have defended for years and years. Oh yeah, they never once asked about the women HE ABUSED! Give me a break! I´m sick of Jake Tapper and that Moron on Meet the Press whining that Trump didn´t move fast enough or ASK about the women. Or who knew about this abuse and when did they know it. This Porter thing PALES in comparison to the abuses of BILL CLINTON. So, stuff it!!

Trump said it was a sad situation, the ruining of people´s lives, and that allegations have now become sufficient to do that. That sounds like a very reasonable statement to me. Mr. Rather, on the other hand, enjoys the ruination of others, regardless of whether it is true, or fake, but has not much enjoyed his on ruination by the pursuit of that creed.

´A low for our country?" do these people even hear how they sound? Twenty years ago, they formed a solid wall of defense for the rapist in the Oval Office and then in 2008 voted for the marxist muslim. Maybe Rather would have been happier if President Trump had referred to the former wives accusing Porter of abuse as bimbos.

Dan, you socialist toadie, the key word here is "ACCUSED"!!!!!

I know in your dream situation of the United States becoming another Soviet Union, having accusations destroy lives is a great thing (as long as the accused is a conservative or a Republican).

But this is the United States, and we have the guarantee of innocence until PROVEN guilty!!!

Just go away you evil little worm of a boy!!!!!

It´s quite telling how quickly a liberal will exercise their inner fascist, and toss due process to the wind when a Republican or conservative is involved, and yawn when it´s a Democrat. You weren´t so quick to judge when Democrat Senator Sherrod Brown of Ohio was accused of beating and abusing his wife, or when Bill Clinton was accused, on multiple occassions, of groping and actual RAPE. This explains Dan´s thinking when he went after W Bush. There doesn´t need to be anything so old fashioned as real evidence. All you have to do is make a barely plausible accusation.

Except ... Dan´s evidence was so obviously manufactured that the whole thing exploded in his face and he was forced to resign. Maybe that should have taught him something about reality vs. fantasy but the Left is amazingly dense.

So out totters ol´ Dan, futilely searching for his lost credibility. Dan is a low for journalism.

It is news journalists who took this country to a new “low” when they began interjecting opinion into news broadcasts and passing opinion off as factual information. Instead of adhering to the traditional definition of news (who, what, when, where, why, how), opinion became a component in reporting and managed to shape the political landscape to their Leftist leanings. Low information voters continue to be deluded and the perpetual deception in news reporting has damaged not only this country, but the lives of many innocent people. The President’s tweet was and is empathetic and honorable to both genders in that it calls for Due Process.

As a female "victim" who was not only disbelieved, but punished for "lying" about "an innocent" male, I notice and follow this type of story.

IF the ex-wives (who never lie) told the FBI a year ago were so so credible, why was the FBI "still investigating" the allegations?? Were there inconsistencies in their telling of the events?? When the photograph was shown, Porter claimed he took the photo and the true story wasn´t as it is being presented. Was she in an auto or other accident (and insurance claims) around the same time??

Was there a problem with their stories, or was Rob Porter´s interview and/or filled out forms more credible??

Why was the investigation taking so long, or is a security/background check supposed to take over a year to complete??

Really, it is the timing that bothers me. If the allegations were true, wouldn´t the FBI be able to confirm that "fact" in less than a year for a position so important and in close proximity to the President??

It´s beginning to be glaringly apparent that those on the left cannot recognize the absurd double standard that exists in almost everything they say. On one day, a specific kind of logic applies to one scenario. Then, the next day, those same people mock the logic that was offered as gospel the day before.Take for instance the liberal notion that stricter gun laws prevent mass shootings. If that´s true, then why do the same individuals who demand restrictions on gun ownership also claim that if access to abortion is limited, women looking to terminate a pregnancy will find a way

The problem of mass violence in the U.S. is more a reflection of contempt for the sanctity of human life than of a love for gun ownership. In a society that reveres human life, gun ownership isn´t a chronic problem. People who genuinely believe in the sanctity of human life won´t take another life - by gun or any other means - unless it is absolutely necessary. Not so in a society that views human life as subjective and revocable. In a society that condones, funds, and promotes abortion and excuses euthanasia, human life is cheap. When a woman has a

In June, 2006, Donald Trump taped an episode of his reality-television show, “The Apprentice,” at the Playboy Mansion, in Los Angeles. Hugh Hefner, Playboy’s publisher, threw a pool party for the show’s contestants with dozens of current and former Playmates, including Karen McDougal, a slim brunette who had been named Playmate of the Year, eight years earlier. In 2001, the magazine’s readers voted her runner-up for “Playmate of the ’90s,” behind Pamela Anderson. At the time of the party, Trump had been married to the Slovenian model Melania Knauss for less than two years; their son, Barron, was a few

NBA star LeBron James says President Trump doesn’t “give a fuck” about Americans. "The No. 1 job in America ... is someone who doesn´t understand the people, and really don´t give a f**k about the people,” James said in a video recorded last month with ESPN’s Cari Champion and fellow NBA player Kevin Durant. The video was filmed as Trump had come under scrutiny for reportedly referring to some countries as “shithole countries,” prompting Champion to address Trump’s “racist comments.” "It´s not even a surprise when he says something," James said. "It´s like, laughable. It´s laughable and it´s scary." “While

Openly gay U.S. Olympic skier Gus Kenworthy broke his thumb while practicing, but don´t cry for him, because that just he means he won´t have to suffer the agony of shaking the vice president´s hand, according to him. It seems that the openly gay U.S. figure skater Adam Rippon is not the only one openly trolling the VP as he represents the United States at the Olympics. On Twitter, Gus Kenworthy expressed joy over breaking his thumb because of one "silver lining.""Broke my thumb yesterday in practice," he tweeted. "It won´t stop me from competing (obvi) but it does prevent me

Reporter-model Becky Griffin took to Twitter on Thursday and responded to Wednesday’s mass shooting at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida by insinuating that alleged shooter Nikolas Cruz wouldn’t have carried out mass murder if his mother had aborted him instead of putting him up for adoption. “Woman puts baby up for adoption, he grows up to be a violent young man who will spend the rest of his life in prison for a mass murder. Tell me more about how abortions are wrong,” Griffin wrote, in a tweet that went viral on Thursday, adding the hashtags

Lindsey Vonn didn´t have to make any excuses for her sixth-place finish in Saturday´s super-G at the 2018 Winter Olympics. TV analysts, newspaper writers, Twitter users and fans were already making them for her: Since Vonn happened to be the first skier out of the gate, she was at a tremendous disadvantage, one that proved fatal when she slipped near the end of the course, costing her precious time that would have easily won her gold. (Snip) But then Vonn went on NBC and complained about it herself. She transformed from a sympathetic figure to a poor loser in a
