CNN hires Comey fanboy to “defend” FBI

Scott says James Comey may be the least self-aware man in America. I agree. Comey is a legend in his own mind. Comey is also a legend in the mind of Josh Campbell, his former special assistant at the FBI. In an op-ed for USA Today, Campbell called his former boss “a giant of a man with an even bigger heart, whose focus was always on trying to understand and improve the lives of others.” Campbell also wrote an op-ed for the New York Times in which he stated he was leaving the FBI because of “relentless attacks on the bureau.” Campbell also wrote an op-ed for the New York Times in which he stated he was leaving the

FTA: CNN hired Campbell to bolster its roster of Trump haters. He is there to defend Trump’s FBI enemies, especially Comey.

Amazing it is that CNN, an alleged news organization, its folded hands between its knees in supplication to the devil, has abandoned all pretense of objectivity in its gut-straining, eye-popping exertions to fatally wound the presidency of Donald Trump someway, anyway.

It would be honest if CNN would just formally declare that they as an organization exist to aid the political fortunes of Democrats and other political oddballs and malcontents, and just leave it at that.

The only time I have voluntarily watched CNN in recent years was Election Night after several essential early states (Florida, North Carolina, Pennsylvania) went for Trump, and a smile began creeping all the way across my face in both directions, like Seuss´s Grinch ... a wrap around smile prefatory to the three days of nearly fatal guffaws. Switching mischievously from Fox to CNN, I changed channels to see emotion. I wanted to see tears; I wanted to see pain; I wanted to see the gnashing of teeth; I wanted to see visages as hard as marble before they melted into pools of disconsolation. I was not disappointed. Over on CNN, their suffering was almost human, very real looking.

Well he certainly tried to improve the life of one Hillary Rodham Clinton. Unfortunately that didn´t work out for her.

President Trump is not attacking the bureau. He is attacking the corrupt bureaucratic hacks who used their positions to illegally target political enemies, especially President Trump. The sooner we get rid of them and they are prosecuted the better.

The real reason Trump’s choice

Washington Post, by Greg Sargent    Original Article

President Donald Trump’s choice of John Bolton as his new national security adviser — and his ongoing escalation of trade hostilities and reshuffling of his legal team — have all been widely interpreted as evidence that Trump is finally governing and conducting himself as he wanted to all along. He’s tired of advisers who are steering him away from his true agenda and persona, goes this narrative; instead, he’s finally getting back to the basics that make Trump who he really is. But this framing is built on a distortion that underplays just how dangerous Trump’s evolution really threatens to become.

While opioids hold center stage in the nation’s drug war, methamphetamine is making a destructive comeback. Though meth has largely fallen off the public’s radar, seizures and arrests are up, and more people are dying from the drug. Its evolution is a reminder of the durability of the illegal drug supply, the impermanence of any single enforcement tactic and the need for a comprehensive approach to fighting and treating addiction. Potent, addictive and deadly, meth bears many of the pernicious traits of opioids. It became popular in the early 2000s, easily produced in small batches using the decongestant in over-the-counter cold

LARGO — The man who shot and killed Tarpon Springs police Officer Charles Kondek in 2014 will spend the rest of his life in prison. That was the sentence 12 jurors chose for Marco Antonio Parilla, Jr. on Friday after two weeks of testimony and four hours of deliberations — but it was not the sentence that Kondek’s family and the courtroom heard. Instead, the verdict that Parilla should be put to death was read aloud. That evoked cheers as the fallen officer’s family and friends hugged each other. But moments later, prosecutors and defense attorneys huddled in front of Pinellas-Pasco Circuit Judge Joseph

Here is what happens when people on both sides of the gun conversation in America are able to be heard. The producers of this video had a variety of actors cold read statistical truths about guns and crime in the United States. Much of this is known to pro-Second Amendment advocates but not to the general public. A Broward County judge set a $500,000 bond Tuesday for Zachary Cruz, who was caught skateboarding Monday on the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School grounds where brother Nikolas Cruz killed 17 people in February. Prosecutors asked for $750,000. The standard bond for trespassing on school grounds is $25 and Cruz, 18, had paid it, his bond attorney said. "He’s being held because of who he’s related to, not because of what he did," Cruz’s bond attorney argued before Judge Kim Theresa Mollica. The theme park released an updated storyline this week at the Magic Kingdom that features a red-haired female pirate. "Just as Walt Disney embraced and encouraged Disney Parks to ‘keep moving forward’ since the opening of Disneyland Park in 1955, Walt Disney Imagineering has introduced many new characters at Pirates of the Caribbean attraction over the years," a statement on the official Disney parks blog said. The red-haired character was once a wench for sale.
