CNN hires Comey fanboy to “defend” FBI

Scott says James Comey may be the least self-aware man in America. I agree. Comey is a legend in his own mind. Comey is also a legend in the mind of Josh Campbell, his former special assistant at the FBI. In an op-ed for USA Today, Campbell called his former boss “a giant of a man with an even bigger heart, whose focus was always on trying to understand and improve the lives of others.” Campbell also wrote an op-ed for the New York Times in which he stated he was leaving the FBI because of “relentless attacks on the bureau.” Campbell also wrote an op-ed for the New York Times in which he stated he was leaving the

More than a fanboy, sounds like a man crush.
Is Campbell a part time figure skater?

FTA: CNN hired Campbell to bolster its roster of Trump haters. He is there to defend Trump’s FBI enemies, especially Comey.

Amazing it is that CNN, an alleged news organization, its folded hands between its knees in supplication to the devil, has abandoned all pretense of objectivity in its gut-straining, eye-popping exertions to fatally wound the presidency of Donald Trump someway, anyway.

It would be honest if CNN would just formally declare that they as an organization exist to aid the political fortunes of Democrats and other political oddballs and malcontents, and just leave it at that.

The only time I have voluntarily watched CNN in recent years was Election Night after several essential early states (Florida, North Carolina, Pennsylvania) went for Trump, and a smile began creeping all the way across my face in both directions, like Seuss´s Grinch ... a wrap around smile prefatory to the three days of nearly fatal guffaws. Switching mischievously from Fox to CNN, I changed channels to see emotion. I wanted to see tears; I wanted to see pain; I wanted to see the gnashing of teeth; I wanted to see visages as hard as marble before they melted into pools of disconsolation. I was not disappointed. Over on CNN, their suffering was almost human, very real looking.

Well he certainly tried to improve the life of one Hillary Rodham Clinton. Unfortunately that didn´t work out for her.

I concur, #2. The look on Wolf Blitzer´s face when we started to paint the big screen red was priceless. It more than made up for his facial orgasm when the Kenyan won in 2008.

President Trump is not attacking the bureau. He is attacking the corrupt bureaucratic hacks who used their positions to illegally target political enemies, especially President Trump. The sooner we get rid of them and they are prosecuted the better.

This is a country of 325-million people. If two guys getting tossed out of a coffee shop is news, then things in Donald Trump´s America must be going pretty damned well. But if the story were only meaningless trash, it would just be typical of American journalism. But it´s pernicious trash meant to advance a false left-wing narrative, which is — oh yeah! — typical of American journalism. In fact, this particular story is a textbook example of why our journalism needs reform. American journalism is a largely Democrat affair. About 7% of journalists identify as Republicans. About 28% identify as Democrats.

President Trump´s decision to postpone new economic sanctions against Russia on Monday brought some clarity to the foreign policy fight in Washington. The issue isn´t whether UN Ambassador Nikki Haley gets confused, as she waspishly denied, but the fact that the president is fighting the swamp single-handed. Here´s the Financial Times´ snarky Edward Luce in a blast email this morning: "The explanation is simple. Everyone in the Trump administration is really hawkish on Russia. Except the president. On most days the train simply keeps running without him. People such as Haley talk to Jim Mattis, the defence secretary, John Bolton, the

The Democratic National Committee has just filed a civil lawsuit seeking millions of dollars in damages against the Russian government, WikiLeaks, the Trump campaign, and a supporting cast of thousands arguing that the parties conspired to influence the 2016 presidential campaign. The lawsuit is filed in federal court in the Southern District of New York (Manhattan). The DNC alleges a multitude of claims including conspiracy and violations of everything from conspiracy to violations of copyright law and the Trade Secrets Act. “One of the most notable things about the complaint,” says CBS News is the sheer number of defendants — the

You can produce electricity with a wind turbine, but is it good policy to do so? The reality is that wind energy exists solely because of government subsidies. (Don’t take my word for it, just ask Warren Buffett: “We get a tax credit if we build a lot of wind farms. That’s the only reason to build them. They don’t make sense without the tax credit.”) Given that wind energy is intermittent–nationally, wind turbines produce electricity around 40% of the time, generally at off-peak hours–and electricity cannot be stored at an industrial scale, wind energy accomplishes little, other than driving

The man identified as the suspect who fatally shot two Gilchrist County deputies in a restaurant Thursday afternoon before taking his own life has ties to the Tampa Bay area. Deputies say John Hubert Highnote, 59, of Bell — who was found dead outside the Ace China restaurant in downtown Trenton — lived in portions of the Tampa Bay area more than 30 years ago. Sheriff Bobby Schultz wouldn’t say how Highnote died, adding that state law enforcement officials were investigating. There’s no apparent motive for the shooting, and no other information about Highnote was immediately available. Schultz identified the deputies as Sgt.

It’s really not that complicated. But President Trump’s Syria strikes have reopened the debate over what defines his foreign policy. Is he an interventionist or an isolationist? Foreign policy experts claim that he’s making it up as he goes along. But they’re not paying attention. President Trump’s foreign policy has two consistent elements. From threatening Kim Jong-Un on Twitter to moving the embassy to Jerusalem to bombing Syria, he applies pressure and then he disengages. Here’s how that works. First, Trump pressures the most intransigent and hostile side in the conflict. Second, he divests the United States from the conflict leaving the relevant parties to

At least some of the frenzy rocking the West stems from the efforts of an ideology trying to hold on to its old dominance. Wounded tigers can be dangerous.
