‘This gender crap needs to just stop,’ mom

This Friday was supposed to be a father-daughter dance for elementary school students in Staten Island, New York. But now that dance had been postponed because of concerns that it would violate the state’s new gender guidelines that aim to create a more inclusive space for transgender people, according to the New York Post. “Gender-based policies, rules, and practices can have the effect of marginalizing, stigmatizing, stereotyping and excluding students, whether or not they are transgender or gender nonconforming,” read the guidelines from the New York City Department of Education. “For these reasons, schools should review such policies, rules and

There already is a pronoun for those who do not identify male or female. It is called "it". He, she, it. Got it? Good.

Dems, massively overplaying this hand.

99.9% of people know without even thinking about it whether they are a male or female, and have since they were very young. I have no particular animosity towards those who are confused, but I also do not think that the whole rest of the world needs to adjust everything to please a tiny, tiny minority of oddball people with a problem. And we don´t particularly need to harm them with laws, but we also don´t need to get crazy ruining life for everyone else because there MIGHT BE some sort of hurt feelings, or they may feel "out of the mainstream". Those feelings happen because they ARE out of the mainstream.

And "gender" is never assigned...it is recognised by the physical appearance of the baby´s body.

Is there no one at the school with the common sense (I know, it isn´t that common anymore) to simply call the dance a "Parent-Child Dance?"

Then, I guess someone would complain that leaves out all the orphans, we wouldn´t want to hurt their feelings, now would we??

Let me go off the reservation. I think the school is wise not to hold a father-daughter dance. Not all of the elementary school girls have fathers who could escort them to the dance -- maybe the girl´s mom and dad have divorced and dad is no longer around (or available thanks to the court-ordered custody/visitation agreement), maybe dad is in jail, maybe dad died. Point is, some girls will be hurt mightily because they do not have a father to take them to the dance. A school should not to be a partner to this pain. There can still be father-daughter dances, at church or the Elks Club or the Knights of Columbus or even at a town rec event. Let´s not confuse intrusions (like transgendered in your girl´s locker room) with forbearance. Not holding this dance at a public school is a matter or sensitivity, of what used to be called good manners. I cannot imagine a single LDotter being pleased with the thought of even one ten or twelve year old girl sitting home crying. Have we become so polarized that we yell out "Dilly, Dilly!" without even thinking. This, IMO, was not only not the end of the earth, it was maybe even a good, kind, and appropriate move by the school.

So these gender confused little darlings make up less that 1/10 of 1% of the population and we roll over traditions so as not to hurt their little feelings and confuse them even more? I say they parents should organize their own Father Daughter Gala at a local country club or high end facility and ask for businesses to sponsor the event. It would be soooo big! In your face fools!

Republicans remain panicked over their prospects in 2018, with angst growing that the GOP will lose its majority in the House. Yet even as those fears grow, Trump’s numbers are getting better. The Associated Press and CNN released new polls this week showing 42 percent of Americans approve of Trump’s job performance, up seven percentage points each from their surveys last month. The number is historically low for a president 14 months into his tenure, but the jump
