The governor of Hawaii wanted to inform the public that they would not die in a ballistic missile attack — but he forgot his Twitter password. Gov. David Ige said Sunday that he could not access his Twitter account on the morning of Jan. 13 — while Hawaiians were reeling after receiving the false emergency missile alert on their cellphones. “I have to confess that I don’t know my Twitter account log-ons and the passwords,” Ige said, according to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser. “So certainly that’s one of the changes that I’ve made. I’ve been putting that on my phone so

I can forgive the password forgetfulness, but does the governor use Twitter to send life and death messages?

My God. Doesn´t he have a hot-line or a Pineapple Line to his civil defense people?

A group of kids is suing Florida Gov. Rick Scott, claiming he “endangered” their future and violated their constitutional rights by not doing anything to combat climate change. The youngsters filed their lawsuit on Monday in Leon County Court. “It is the responsibility of the state to uphold the constitution, and these young people have a fundamental right to a stable climate system,” said Guy Burns, lead counsel for the eight plaintiffs, most of whom are teens. The youths are being represented by the Oregon-based nonprofit organization Our Children’s Trust, which is supporting similar suits from children across the country.

A man terrorizing people on the streets in Brooklyn with what appeared to be a firearm was fatally shot by cops — who later determined the weapon was not a gun but a metal pipe. An estimated 6.8 million Floridians evacuated for Hurricane Irma. Some did so twice. Subtle shifts in the storm’s path sent the east coast scurrying west, then fleeing north where landlocked Leon County ran out of hotel rooms and filled 10 shelters with people, half of whom were from other parts of the state. Gridlock on Florida’s Turnpike meant a 20-hour trek into Georgia as lines of cars jockeyed to escape the Sunshine State, crushing traffic like an accordion against the border where driving on the shoulder was no longer allowed. But Florida officials said about 3 million of those who
