Border agent arrest aboard
Greyhound bus triggers outcry

New York Post, by Joshua Rett Miller

A woman from Jamaica who overstayed her tourist visa was removed from a Greyhound bus in Florida by border agents who allegedly asked riders to provide identification — prompting an outcry from immigration advocates who questioned the legality of the inspection. The Florida Immigrant Coalition posted video of the Friday encounter on its Facebook page Saturday. The 2-minute clip shows two uniformed US Border Patrol officers taking a woman into custody as shocked passengers look on during a stop along the Orlando-to-Miami route. “This is new?” one woman asks another passenger. “I’m offended,” another passenger who apparently took out her

Comments:
I don´t know if this was an inept arrest or designed to let people know there´s a new sheriff in town. But I´m pleased. Looks like that Greyhound run is the illegal express.

And on what grounds would this arrest of someone here illegally be illegal?

Obviously these people have never travelled in other countries where identification - “papers” - are routinely requested. Even these Greyhound buses are apparently routinely boarded by Border Patrol for the purpose of doing immigration searches.

I don’t believe a warrant is needed to ask for identification when one is already suspected of wrongdoing as this woman was.

The biggest beef so far is by a few other passengers and yet another SJW organization. They are upset that the others had to show their IDs.

It’s my guess there was a tip.

Train from Milan to Frankfurt...30 milse north the train stopped and Black uniformed Italian cops did a check for passaporte? At Swiss border grey clad Swiss did the same and at the German border the green clad Germnasn did it again. At every stop several were let off and left standing at the station. They should be working the Miami-Orlando in both direction.

Apparently the ?woman? who was offended is the type of ?citizen? that is ALWAYS offended by Law Enforcement making an arrest for a crime committed. However, is NEVER offended by the criminal act the arrestee committed.

I understand poster #3 but crossing international borders isn´t the same as traveling Miami to Orlando. Nonetheless, I´m pleased that ICE is making some progress, however small.

It was my impression that "immigration advocates" were completely in favor of ignoring U.S. law. Why would they question the legality of an action by federal agents? The Border Patrol officers were doing the job we pay them for and I applaud them.

I am an American citizen and do not carry papers showing my citizenship unless I am leaving the United States. Then I carry a passport. The most officers can request is identification, which in general is a driver´s license, state ID card or permanent resident card. I don´t believe "The Border Patrol agents also demanded proof of citizenship from all passengers on the bus during what was billed as a “routine inspection,” according to the immigrant group."

Reread the first nine words...more than half of criminal alien invaders come into this country on a short term visa, and then just melt into the scenery, staying with a "friend" or being directed from one "immigrant rights supporter" to another, stealing or otherwise faking an identity to obtain a job and/or welfare.

Is “implicit bias testing and training” really the right approach to improving race relations in this country — and how does it work, anyway? These were the questions from Fox News host Laura Ingraham that kicked off a lively segment of “The Ingraham Angle” on Wednesday night — with the Starbucks controversy of past month in mind. Derrick Johnson, president and CEO of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), said on Tuesday, “Implicit bias training should be the norm, not just a crisis response strategy,” in a media advisory published by the organization. Several Republican candidates for governor of Oklahoma urged GOP Gov. Oklahoma currently requires a license to carry a handgun openly or concealed and charges handgun license applicants a fee of up to $200. She was passing through Georgia on Interstate 75 when she was pulled over for speeding. Nield told CBC that the officer kept telling her ´Canadian licenses are not accepted´ in Georgia.
