More promise keeping and more making America great. This will help US companies in these businesses. More sales, more jobs, more profits, more taxes paid.

Those Samsung washers and dryers are much more expensive than the domestic brands (which may be made in other countries too) and, according to an appliance repairman, are no more reliable than the others. They seem to be some kind of fad among the yuppies...

In olden thymes my late Mother swore by Maytag. I could not afford so went with Kenmore (maybe made by Whirlpool?). The not-new Whirlpool I “inherited” a few years ago with a move is nasty. The agitator manages to tangle clothes so that they are almost impossible to get apart, and they wear out so much sooner.

It will be a challenge to buy a new washing machine in today’s situation unless a few more regulations are taken away. I like to wash clothes in a fair amount of water. And hate front-loaders.

From the Smoot-Hawley tariffs to the Holy-Smoke tariffs.

Yes, putting a slight brake on some predatory, targeted, government subsidized, industries will be exactly like the late 1920s. The wounded victims are globalists and DC/wall street insiders. Unfortunately China doesn´t get to oversee the decision so world trade hangs in the balance, I guess... according to ´experts.´

President Donald Trump announced Tuesday the U.S. will pull out of the landmark nuclear accord with Iran, dealing a profound blow to U.S. allies and potentially deepening the president´s isolation on the world stage. "Today, we have definitive proof that this Iranian promise was a lie," Trump said in a televised address. "The fact is, this was a horrible one-sided deal that should have never, ever been made. It didn´t bring calm. It didn´t bring peace, and it never will." "The United States does not make empty threats," he said. Trump´s decision means Iran´s government must now decide whether to follow the U.S.

WASHINGTON — President Trump declared on Tuesday that he was pulling out of the Iran nuclear deal, unraveling the signature foreign policy achievement of his predecessor, Barack Obama, and isolating the United States among its Western allies. “This was a horrible one-sided deal that should have never, ever been made,” Mr. Trump said at the White House in announcing his decision. “It didn’t bring calm, it didn’t bring peace, and it never will.” Mr. Trump’s announcement, while long anticipated and widely telegraphed, plunges America’s relations with European allies into deep uncertainty. In the bombshell New Yorker piece that resulted in Attorney General Eric Schneiderman’s resignation over multiple allegations of sexual misconduct Monday night, one of his accusers claims that she was urged to keep quiet about his alleged physical abuse because “Schneiderman was too valuable a politician for the Democrats to lose.” “After the former girlfriend ended the relationship” the New Yorker’s Ronan Farrow and Jane Mayer report, “she told several friends about the abuse. A number of them advised her to keep the story to herself, arguing that Schneiderman was too valuable a politician for the Democrats to lose.”

Donald Trump finally found a federal judge to whom he could relate. Judge T.S. Trump declared Ellis to be “really something very special” in showing that this is nothing more than a “witch hunt.” While reluctant to say so publicly, many lawyers would find Ellis’s comments “special” in the sense of being especially problematic from a federal judge. When does a gross indiscretion, aimed at undermining President Trump through private negotiations with a sworn enemy of America, become something bigger? Former Secretary of State John Kerry, deep into his months-long “shadow diplomacy” with Iran, is testing the point. Truth is, the antiquated Logan Act – which bars exactly that sort of extra-legal, unofficial and patently officious and offensive behavior – has never been enforced, although referenced as late as 1991 by the Supreme Court. That does not make Kerry’s behavior acceptable, patriotic or defensible. In fact, at a time when everyone from President Trump to America’s national security
