California Democrats want some businesses
to fork over half tax-cut savings to state

Fox News, by Edmund DeMarche

Original Article

Calling the Trump administration’s tax reform plan a “middle-class tax increase,” two California lawmakers introduced a bill that would force large companies to fork over half of their expected savings to the state. Assemblymen Kevin McCarty and Phil Ting, both Democrats, introduced Assembly Constitutional Amendment 22, which calls for a 10 percent surcharge on companies with a net earnings over $1 million. The plan could potentially raise billions for the state´s social services programs. “It is unconscionable to force working families to pay the price for tax breaks and loopholes benefiting corporations and wealthy individuals,” Ting said in a statement,

Comments:
These people are truly sick and evil. Because they have flooded that state with illegals I don´t know how any Republican can win again and bring the state back. There aren´t enough superlatives to describe how much I despise them because what ALL Democrats are doing to destroy this nation. As an aside, that is NOT Kevin McCarthy who is in the US congress. It is McCarty. I misread that at first glance.

Keeping in mind that to Democrats anything that lowers taxes on businesses or wealthy individuals is, by definition, a tax increase on the poor and middle class -- even if it actually reduces their taxes, too.

Never mind that the poor pay no federal income tax and that the IRS has become an additional welfare outlet by giving ´refunds´ to people who paid no taxes to begin with. I can´t decide sometimes whether this is stupidity or sneakiness on the part of the Left. (Either way, it´s fundamentally dishonest...)

One has to respect the innate dishonesty of the leftist pols. They have turned corporate tax cuts into taxes on the poor, even though the "poor" pay NO federal taxes. The greed, dishonesty, and blatant disrespect toward those of us who PAY TAXES every day is mind-boggling.

California is 12% of the U.S. population, but has 1/3 of all people in poverty.

Talk about "two America´s".

I´m sure both of these Assemblyman voted for the recent gas tax increase, which hurts the poor more, but frankly I doubt they care.

I would not be surprised to see a lot of publicly traded companies start the process of discussing a new location just so they are covered for when they need to leave CA as their corporate office to avoid the stupidity of Sacramento.

And folks, this is a state that will reap billions in new taxes for legal marijuana, and likely see some of the Apple revenue that will be repatriated soon.

But, it´s never enough for progressive Democrats.

California Democrats want all business to fork over all of the tax-cut savings to state but think the most they can ask for without pitchforks, torches, tar and feathers paying them a visit, is for some businesses to fork over half.

A little wordy but accurate.

This is the kind of confiscatory taxation found in third world countries. Thinking like that is expected since since the state is full of illegals from the third world and the state demographics are like a third world country - a few elite wealthy, a lot of poor, and very small (shrinking) middle class.
