Media outlets struggle to
assign blame for shutdown

Original Article

Usually, when the government shuts down, a clear media narrative quickly takes hold: one party is driving the action, and therefore is held responsible. But like so much else in the Trump era, this current shutdown is unprecedented. No single storyline has emerged, causing Democrats and Republicans to scramble for advantage and members of both sides to cry foul over coverage. “When the narrative structure is clear, the headlines are all virtually identical. They’re not,” said Kathleen Hall Jamieson, director of the Annenberg Public Policy Center at the University of Pennsylvania. “What that says is the press is dealing with a

Once again I counted 8 stories on the international, national, and local pages of my local paper (the Kent-Ravenna Record Courier) from the Associated Press. Needless to say I read NONE of them! The headlines and lead graphs all attacked President Trump. In other posts at other sites, I have expressed that if President Trump were to cure cancer, cure heart disease, and end crime liberals and the Associated Press would attack him because he did it today and not yesterday. In fact, the vitriolic hatred that the Associated Press pours on President Trump, were it not so damaging, would be humorous. What a textbook example of what a news agency should NOT be!

Henceforth, I will call it the Schumer/McConnell Shutdown.

End the filibuster, now and forever.

It is nowhere in the Constitution nor is it law. In fact, nowhere in the Constitution are political parties recognized - deliberately and on purpose. The Framers warned of them. There is no such Constitutional thing as a "majority" or "minority" leader.

And "minority" voices seem to be heard just fine in the House, which has no filibuster rule.

Get rid of the filibuster, and make politicians accountable to deliver what the people voted for. There should be no veto or supermajority requirement, other than what is specified in the Constitution itself. That is in the spirit of the enumerated powers in Article I §8 and the Ninth and Tenth Amendments.

And repeal the Seventeenth Amendment (among others), while we are at it. Enforce Article V and its Convention of States provision.

Immigration Laws are laws: they are not executive orders nor are they funding mechanisms:
Obaba used phone and pen with a cective ordr!
President Trump said this is not an executive order issue it is a matter of law!

Congress you have until March to rewrite the Immigration Laws or I am going to enforce the Laws of the land!

Democrats carry the burden of disruption, dishonesty and dysfunction!

They are what they are, they prey on the weak!

Most are degenerates unfit to pass judgment on anyone else’s morality.

Here is the big story and who is to blame...Democrats wanted a pathway to citizenship for illegals and DACA. They need these future votes for their party to remain relevant.

The Democrats are so unhinged about bringing these illegals into the United States, that the Rats are willing to sacrifice American Safety and well being. Shum-The-Dumpster and Piglosy are so completely self centered about this issue they are willing to shut the Government down and negatively impact the pay for our US. Military.

The DNC should be ashamed of themselves, their actions are just criminal, they should all be in jail for obstructions.

At the end of the day all you have to know about the DNC and who they are is to read about the Shooting Death of Kathryn Steinle by an illegal alien, just plain murder.

The headline made me laugh, and the article itself is even funnier.

The ONLY reason there is a "struggle" is because the truth is not what the media want it to be.

Washington - It’s not as simple as just saying “we’re out” of the Iran nuclear deal.If President Donald Trump follows through on his threat to pull the U.S. out of the Iran nuclear deal on May 12, the rest of the world will be thrust into uncharted territory, forced to navigate a complex web of U.S. sanctions that were lifted under the landmark accord but would ostensibly be put back in place. Would Trump re-impose sanctions on those who do business with Iran? How quickly? And what happens to Iran’s pre-existing obligations to allow nuclear inspections? “It’s going to be very complicated,” said Ama Adams,

In the nine years before he ran for president, Donald Trump’s company spent more than $400 million in cash on new properties — including 14 transactions paid for in full, without borrowing from banks — during a buying binge that defied real estate industry practices and Trump’s own history as the self-described “King of Debt.” Trump’s vast outlay of cash, tracked through public records and totaled publicly here for the first time, provides a new window into the president’s private company, which discloses few details about its finances.
