Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer of New York pinned the government shutdown on President Donald Trump, saying it has become "next to impossible" to negotiate with the White House. In a press availability, Schumer said he and Trump have been close to a deal to fund the government at least once. But, he said the "hard right" in the Republican Party later convinces Trump not to strike a deal with him."[Trump] won´t take yes for an answer," Schumer said. It´s about damn time the Repubs grew a spine. Remember, Schumer leads the obstructionist party that is working overtime to scuttle the Trump presidency.

Imagine Hillary, or Jeb, or Mittens were President.

The stock market would be flat or down.
Obamacare fully funded with tax dollars.
3.6 million new Democrat voters/DACA citizens would be on board.

God Blessed America with Donald Trumps win.

Jeb and Mittens would have folded under the pressure Trump has been subjected to.

Schumer expects the WH to give in to the Democrats´ demands. As long as that doesn´t happen, Chucky will claim it´s impossible to negotiate with them.

Republicans have done such a thorough job in giving up on all conservative values over the years that they have left dims like Schumer convinced that the most basic conservative (read: American) values are “far right” values. This is where the dems have made their fatal mistake. No matter how much they lie cheat and deceive, the majority of Americans believe in border security, a strong military, and limited government. These values are codified in our constitution, our laws, and our founding principles and documents. They are not “far right”. We will not compromise our foundation for your pillars of sand. So go ahead. Shut it down Schumer. Just know, you own it. Sarah sanders is correct. Putting a very small number of illegal immigrants ahead of military and regular tax paying Americans. You should be ashamed. You had the chance to look for compromise, but you were hell bent on getting something for nothing. So now, you lose.

From Chuckie´s point of view I´m sure he is exactly right. He equates "negotiation" with capitulation to dem ideas. He is now up against people who are willing to do the right thing instead of the expedient and easy thing so, no, they aren´t going to play his game. By now I would think he would recognize he holds a loser´s hand but the Left is a bit unhinged.

Sounds like Schumer is starting to realize that he has already been defeated. Schumer and friends made a power play hoping to scare Trump into backing down over fears of being blamed for a government shutdown. Why not it has always worked in the past, for the GOPe has no backbone. Government shutdowns have proved to be a powerful weapon.

Now he is fighting Trump and Trump has backbone! It is just now dawning on the Hill democrats that the shutdown may in fact backfire on them, even with the MSM´s complete support. Better still, the GOPe also looks bad.

Maybe you´d better re-read Trump´s The Art of the Deal.

If he, and the other Democrats, do not begin discussions in earnest, my first non-negotiable will be funding the wall before any action is taken on any other negotiation point.

He places illegals´ interest before Americans, just like the illegal who shot and killed that young lady in San Francisco.

Schumer is a longtime DC leftist “swamp rat” who has become used to the wimpy Republicans caving on important issues, so much so that anytime one or two RINOs cross the aisle to go along to get along with the liberal Democrats, that the piece of liberal Democrat proposed legislation in question is deemed to be “bipartisan” thus giving political cover for enough wimpy Republicans to go along to pass the liberal Democrat measure into law. With President Trump in the White House that old liberal Democrat legislative game plan has become inoperative, with the liberal Democrats backing themselves into a corner by putting their dreams of millions of newly legalized former illegal aliens becoming future Democrat voters, over the safety of the American people and the US military.

They do not want a solution to anything! It´s the modern Democrat way. You need a Cause. Winning to them is the constant whining and complaining about injustice and outrage. Look no further than the Obama administration. If this was so important, why didn´t they fix it when they could?

Why do we hate the NRA? Yesterday the hashtag #KillTheNRA started trending on Twitter, inspired by a vandalized billboard in Kentucky bearing the same message. In the aftermath of yet another horrific mass murder of innocents, we are, as always, besieged by calls for stricter gun control laws, from the daily media buffet of rallies and protests to politicians spewing what now has become a familiar script. But is the redundant, knee-jerk reaction calling for gun control a viable solution or just another political football being tossed into our daily cultural scrum? People had guns in the 1950s (and in the ´60s, ´70s, and ´80s), and the gun laws were more lenient than today, so why wasn´t there an epidemic of school shootings back then?

An activist group has launched a voter registration effort aimed at black voters at screenings of the “Black Panther” movie nationwide. Members of the Electoral Justice Project, an offshoot of the Movement for Black Lives, are seeking to motivate black voters and increase political engagement with the #WakandaTheVote campaign, the website Blavity reported. Wakanda is the fictional African nation featured in the long-anticipated Marvel film “Black Panther.” Kayla Reed, Jessica Byrd and Rukia Lumumba founded the Electoral Justice Project last year, and told Blavity that the movement has been effective “because we meet our communities where they are, whether that´s

Former New York Times Executive Editor Jill Abramson served only three years in that role; she was reportedly fired in 2014 for an ill-founded complaint about her compensation and for her "brusque" workplace manner. Her editorial competence was not questioned, however. In the era of #MeToo equalizing the perpetrators of rape with those of inadvertent microaggressions, perhaps no one remains in elite New York media qualified to make such a judgment, anyway. This week, Abramson´s reputation seemingly landed her a 4,000-word New York magazine cover story, which resurrects the sexual harassment complaints against Justice Clarence Thomas:

Outspoken leftist and "Grey´s Anatomy" star Ellen Pompeo challenged Fox News host Laura Ingraham, whom she referred to as a "b****", to a physical fight on Friday. For real. "Someone tell this b**** to meet me outside," wrote Pompeo, referring to Ingraham, via Twitter. "Im [sic] so not in the mood for playing nice or polite this week." (Snip) The actress was reacting to a video clip, which she quote-tweeted, of Ingraham suggesting NBA star LeBron James quit the political activism and "shut up and dribble" — a reference to her 15-year-old book titled "Shut Up & Sing." Pompeo continued the taunting,

DALLAS, Texas-A leader in Dallas politics does not want the National Rifle Association to meet in his city. Mayor Pro Tem Dwaine Caraway is urging the NRA to find a new home for its annual convention. He says the meeting is not appropriate in Dallas in the wake of last week´s school shooting in Florida. Caraway also points to the past tragedies in Dallas, including the 2016 ambush that killed five Dallas officers, and the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. "It is a tough call when you ask the NRA to reconsider coming to Dallas. But it is putting

GOP Utah Senate candidate Mitt Romney is changing his tune on President Donald Trump from where he was one year ago. Trump endorsed Romney late Monday evening, giving the former failed presidential candidate “full support and endorsement.” Romney responded almost immediately, thanking the president for his kind words and for backing him the upcoming election. “Thank you Mr. President for the support. I hope that over the course of the campaign I also earn the support and endorsement of the people of Utah,” Romney tweeted late Monday evening. Romney’s statement Monday is strikingly different from ones he has previously made

“From my cold, dead hands!” – Charlton Heston Liberals love to fantasize about confiscating every gun in America. It may be their most beautiful dream. Liberals get control of the Supreme Court and ignore the Second Amendment; Washington makes gun ownership illegal; almost all the guns come pouring in or are destroyed; a few hapless Jim Bobs who won’t get in line get shot up by the cops and then the government is free to do anything it wants and if people don’t like it, well, what are they going to do about it without guns? Let me suggest a less happy,

Los Angeles County´s homeless population is increasing faster than the supply of new housing, even with the addition of thousands of beds in the last two years and millions of dollars beginning to flow in from two ballot measures targeting the crisis, according to a long-awaited report by the region´s homelessness agency. The report showed that officials two years ago far underestimated how much new housing would be needed when they asked city and county voters to approve the tax measures. (Snip) Providing permanent housing for the county´s chronically homeless population would require more than 20,000 new units, about 5,000 more

President Trump said Tuesday he has asked the Justice Department to regulate "bump stocks," the firearms accessory that can be used to make semi-automatic weapons fire at a rate similar to automatic weapons. Trump´s move came less than a week after the Florida school shooting that left 17 dead, and several weeks after a shooter in Las Vegas used bump stocks to killed dozens of people. "Just a few moments ago, I signed a memorandum directing the Attorney General to propose regulations to ban all devices that turn legal weapons into machine guns," Trump said. "I expect that these critical
