FISA abuse memo, #ReleaseTheMemo
campaign send Congress, Wikileaks

Interest in a classified House Intelligence Committee memo, which reportedly outlines how the anti-Trump dossier was used by the FBI to justify surveillance against Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, has caused an online frenzy. Late Thursday, WikiLeaks jumped into the proceedings, offering a reward of up to $1 million to anyone who could send them a copy. Meanwhile, reports emerged that the Twitter hashtag calling for the memo’s public release — #ReleaseTheMemo — was receiving a major online push by Russian-linked Twitter accounts. According to the Hamilton 68 Dashboard, an independent tracker of Russian online

Comments:
Now, this is confusing. The Russians are now using their Twitter accounts to get this released? Where is the GOP? My sense is that this "memo", at least for now, will be used as a bargaining chip by Trump against his dRATS antagonist (political & sycophants like fake news media) to make some legislative deals behind the scenes in his favor. However, along with that goes that someone will (must) leak this because there is NO mention of it containing classified information, just dRATS wrongdoing in the 0bama administration (don´t forget Hillary).

We are about to find out why the democrats and the press that they control were so upset by hillary losing. They knew that there was a lot of damaging evidence of obama and democrats misusing their power when they were in control of the executive branch and it would be exposed.

I am just surprised it has taken so long to surface, perhaps Trump is holding it as a bargaining chip.

I sent an email to my congressman to "release the memo", and also mentioned that just firing these traitors would be entirely unacceptable, they need prison time and loss of pensions.

I would encourage each of you to take the couple of minutes it takes to do this.

Schiff "believes" it was fine for various parties to make unjustified accusations against the newly elected President, accusing him of treason and all kinds of loony things and leak the accusations and hyperventilate for months, but a four page memo saying the FBI did wrong, now that is inflammatory? Schiff isn´t even trying to make sense, is he..... What a ridiculous argument...

If Paul Ryan were a real leader, he would call the House into session TONIGHT to vote release of the memo and supporting documents behind it.

Tonight.

With a split screen (like the one when President Reagan was sworn in while the Iran hostages disembarked the plane) showing the House doing its thing, while the feckless Senate does its thing to let the Schumer ShutDown happen.

.. If Paul Ryan were a real leader. /s

Jared Kushner scores first major
bipartisan deal for Trump in Congress
Washington Examiner [DC], by Paul Bedard    Original Article

An effort led by senior White House adviser Jared Kushner to both increase prison security and provide a pathway out for some 4,000 well-behaved prisoners has scored a major, and lopsided, victory, the first major bipartisan deal for the Trump White House. The House Judiciary Committee voted 25-5 to back the “First Step Act,” a shocking turn after the media had earlier written off chances that it would pass. “We see it as a big win,” said an administration official involved in the talks between House Republicans and Democrats. Shut the revolving door on crime? Republicans and Democrats work together? Sound impossible?

A former Democratic congressman from Chicago, heading to prison for the third time, says he has “given up on America” and plans to move to Africa after he serves his latest sentence. At his sentencing Thursday, Mel Reynolds, 66, got six months in prison for failing to file tax returns on more than $400,000 he received for consulting work. He also received a scolding from federal Judge Robert Gettleman, who told the Harvard graduate he could recall thinking to himself in the early 1990s that Reynolds had tremendous promise. “It's a tragedy that you squandered the opportunities you had and the type of person you could have become,"

A jubilant President Trump tweeted on Thursday to announce that five of the ´Most Wanted leaders of ISIS´ have been captured after they were lured from Syria to Iraq with fake Telegram messages. Iraqi officials used the cell phone of already captured ISIS lieutenant Ismail al-Eithawi to send instructions via the app for the four other leaders to come to Iraq, where they were seized. The encrypted app was officially named by ISIS as one of its favored mobile messaging services in 2015 and has been regularly used by the terror group for private communication and to spread propaganda. Iran strikes prove Trump’s

President Trump’s decision to scrap the Iran nuke deal had a lot to do with Tehran’s decision to fire missiles at Israel late Wednesday. First, the Iranians likely timed the attack to make it seem that the president had instantly made things worse in the region. That also explains why Iran’s Houthi proxies in Yemen shot missiles into Saudi Arabia hours after Trump’s nuke-deal news. Second, Iran’s power in Syria and Yemen is itself in good part the result of Team Obama’s policies, including the nuke deal — which left Washington with few ways to respond to Tehran’s nonnuclear outrages while freeing up billions in cash to fund Iranian

Boston - Some immigrants living in the country illegally and accused of crimes sit in legal limbo, caught in a tug of a war between local prosecutors and federal immigration authorities who won´t let them appear in court because they fear being denied the opportunity to deport them. (Snip) Under President Trump, the agency is specifically targeting suspects not yet found guilty, a departure from the Obama administration, which focused primarily on those convicted, attorneys say.
