Brigitte Bardot slams #MeToo
´publicity-seeking´ actresses

French film legend Brigitte Bardot attacked the #MeToo movement Wednesday, claiming that actresses who complain of sexual harassment were just looking for publicity. "The vast majority are being hypocritical and ridiculous," she told the French magazine Paris Match. "Lots of actresses try to play the tease with producers to get a role. And then, so we will talk about them, they say they were harassed," declared the 83-year-old Bardot. "I was never the victim of sexual harassment. And I found it charming when men told me that I was beautiful or I had a nice little backside," said the actress, who became a

She is right, I´d mentioned something like this a few days ago ... I mostly smell something fishy in many of these stories.
If they are to be believed, then hollyweird makes Sodom and Gomorrah look like a church picnic. I have doubts of the veracity

It all depends.

Some of the biggest fallout is not in the film industry. Think one of the biggest cases will be the Olympic doctor that has over a hundred accusers, and is already in trouble with the law.

Agree with Bardot. Some of the sexual harassment claims in the film industry are true. Others are actresses looking for publicity.

My former boss (a very smart man) used to describe such women as "opportunists" - women who will play up to men, then scream "harassment" when it becomes convenient.

I´ve known more than a few in my life.

Bridgette Bardot is 83 and I am 62. Both of our generations enjoyed the art of flirting, without the assumed "sex to follow". The women always called the play. I believe that the current generation is so immoral, that flirting is assumed to be an open invitation.

However, in my day, and still today, pushy men know how to choose their victims. Confident and strong women rarely deal with this. The meek and mild pretty girl has to have her defenses up at all times.

That being said, the powerful man often views even the confident underling female as willing to sleep their way to the top, so flirting at work is treacherous.

The Olympic doctor is a different class of evil. He was abusing/raping very young girls. Hollywood on the other hand are cases of adults who would often do what Bardot has said, "play the tease." That´s the rail on which many of the successes in Hollywood and elsewhere have ridden to fame.

Brigitte Bardot doesn´t mince words, and she doesn´t apologize for what she says. She demonstrated her straight-speaking style 10 or so years ago when she spoke out against the Muslim influence in France. She was taken to court several times and fined.

In the article, she makes a point of referring specifically to the actresses who have jumped on the MeToo bandwagon. I don´t think she´s downplaying harassment in general but is referring specifically to the Hollywood actresses and their attachment to trendy causes.

I don´t think #MeToo means they were harassed but want to jump on the bandwagon because they are lemmings without independent thinking or maturity.

Whatever the next crisis is, they will be on that list too.

Obviously this conversation typically goes there," he added. When Kim Jong-un dispatched his crack propaganda team to Pyeongchang (and not P.F. It was so easy, in fact, that a girl could do it, and she did. “If ‘diplomatic dance’ were an event at the Winter Olympics,” CNN reported with gasps of breathless wonder, “Kim Jong-un’s younger sister would be favored to win the gold.” “Without a word, and only flashing smiles,” observed The New York Times, “Kim Jong-un’s

There are still no indications of what may have caused the diplomats’ mysterious symptoms. The report, published Wednesday in The Journal of American Medical Association, said the unique circumstances of the patients “raise concern about a new mechanism for possible acquired brain injury from an exposure of unknown origin.” In an editorial, JAMA said an explanation “remains elusive” and “many potential causes for the symptoms.... remain possibilities.
