And it will likely blast past 27,000 relatively soon, when all those larger takehome paychecks start hitting and folks start spending it.

Profits will surge, and stocks will reflect that.

November 9, 2016, DOW close: 18,332.74 +73.14.

That´s a 30% rise in a little over a year.

It must have been Obama who set this economy in motion just as he left office. After all, it was Bush´s fault Obama inherited a recession that stuck around for 8 years.

We can only imagine how wonderful it would be for all of us if the Demo-rats, with their stupid ideas that don´t work and never will, all just disappeared.

#6, a better review is:
Jan. 15, 2016: 15,988.
Nov. 4, 2016: 17,788. So for Obama´s last year, total of 1,800 increase, or 11% for the year.

Jan 13, 2017: 19,885.
Jan 17, 2018: 26,115.

Trump anticipation: From a couple of days before the election, when Hellary was "guaranteed to win", until Jan 13, a week before Trump was inaugurated, ALL on expectation of Trump turning things around, not one regulation, staff member or law changed, up about 2100 - more than Obama´s previous year.

And in Trump´s first year, since a couple of days before the election until now, up 8327, or a total of 47% increase.

The Big Idea: Tuesday was a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day for Democratic moderates. The success of very liberal candidates in primaries across four states is causing a new bout of heartburn among party strategists in Washington, who worry about unelectable activists thwarting their drive for the House majority. But it also reflects a broader leftward lurch among Democrats across the country since President Trump took office. -- In Nebraska, a liberal social worker and political neophyte who built her campaign around “Medicare for All” scored a shocking upset in a Democratic primary to take on Rep. Under John Brennan, the CIA operated as an opposition research outfit for the Hillary Clinton campaign. It appears from leaked news stories in the British press that Brennan’s oafish spying on Trump began around April 2016, right after Trump’s biggest primary victories. As it became urgently clear to Brennan that Trump was going to face off against Hillary, Brennan turned to “intelligence partners” in Europe for dirt on Trump.
