What In The Fresh Hell Is This?
We Need To Shame Couples Who
Have Kids Because…Global Warming?

Town Hall, by Matt Vespa

Why is it that some of the hottest hot takes come from Canada? This week, we´re delving into the very ´none of our business´ category of married coupled having children. On HGTV, Fixer Upper couple Chip and Joanna Gaines announced that they’re going to have a fifth child. Good for them. No, seriously—that’s great news, but some whack jobs denounced the announcement, citing overpopulation concerns. Really? That’s the troll bait that attracts these legions of losers. Folks, this is why Trump won. This busy-bodying from liberals, and make no mistake the trolls who cite population controls and global warming are

Comments:
This is not fresh hell, young man, it´s old, constantly recycled hell. It began in the 1970s, when Paul Ehrlich predicted mass famine and the possible end of the human race unless we drastically cut back on using up our limited resources and having children. (Despite his embarrassing failure, he is still an honored "expert.") The news hasn´t gotten out to the left, but birth rates around the globe have been plummeting for several years, including in most Muslim countries. For decades I´ve known mothers of large families who constantly have to deal with nasty or sarcastic comments in public.

Well, actually, global warming is caused by abortion. Think about it, global warming ´started´ at the same time we legalized killing babies. That makes just as much sense as having children causes it.

Maybe the surplus children will grow up to invent interstellar travel, cures for cancers, global warming reversal, or even become ....taxpayers!... to help fund more entitlements for the lazy, the criminal, and the fence-hoppers. Somebody has to do it.

So a well-known couple is having another child ... so what. Here is why I am not alarmed.

Unlike most of the melanin-rich humans on this planet, the Gaines can AFFORD to have kids. They can afford to have more kids than most couples. Good for them.

Liberalism is truly a mental disorder.

I like one of the suggestions in the commentary ... if a leftist is agonizing about overpopulation, there is a simple way to do their part to help. Simply start your eternal dirt nap - the sooner the better.

why would we want to discourage intelligent, productive couples from reproducing?

While I believe abortion is the taking of a human life and, therefore, morally repugnant, I am becoming a fan of sterilization of the drones among us.

So, global warming is caused by Moloch´s wrath if there are insufficient child sacrifices?
Maybe the real problem is that they are doing the sacrifices wrong.
The baby is supposed to be tossed into a fire.

#2, "global warming reversal" is just as big a fiction as global warming, but otherwise, of course, you are right. Nobody can predict the benefits that a particular person may bring to the world.

I have encouraged my niece to have several more children to help offset the feral children being born to the horrorshow people living in parts of our cities and around the world.

We need more Americans to have children, not fewer. There would be no need for massive immigration--legal or illegal-- if we had enough native born Americans. Mark Steyn wrote about the folly of pursuing zero (or negative) population growth several years ago. Look at what is happening in Europe. As Italians, Germans, Swedes, etc. limit their families, the slack is taken up by Muslims who do not assimilate and eventually could take over through the democratic process.

I tend to agree that we have an overpopulation problem. But the problem isn´t in the developed/civilized world, but in the third world. Many industrialized countries have birth rates that are below the replacement level, that is why they have to import third world immigrants.

Limiting births in developed countries will NOT help anything, but just lead to the eventual demise of the type of advances in science and medicine that have made life better for most of us.

Paul Ehrlich and his stupid followers are simpletons. Extrapolating the present into the future as if things will always be the same everywhere is a skill only a college professor can hone, because they will always have a job no matter how idiotic they are. In fact the snarks of the internet and professors like the creepy Ehrlich are too stupid to check the internet and discover the chicken little warnings of the last 30 years were wrong, wrong, wrong. The world is and has been experiencing DECLINING birthrates. Primarily in Germany, Russia and western countries, but even shirt hole countries where rampant, unsupportable births are high, the rate is lower than predicted. Search for worldwide birth rates or read this- https://worldview.stratfor.com/article/birthrates-are-declining-worldwide-inconsistently-across-regions

Federal portraits often aren´t that great. There´s plenty of evidence of that all around Washington D.C. And famous people are surprisingly hard to paint. There are plenty of strikingly different portraits of George Washington. So the normal response to the Obama portraits would be a shrug, and maybe a few jokes if you don´t like them. And maybe even if you do. But the Obamas are the center of the most delusional cult of personality that the media has yet spawned. And so we get bizarre pieces like these. Free-marketers are right that tax cuts stimulate economic growth that in turn lead to expanding production and eventually more federal tax revenue. But the problem traditionally has been that to obtain tax reductions, Republicans also have had to sign on reluctantly to larger expenditures. Or, worse, they willingly believed they could spend more, simply because more money poured into the federal treasuries. George W. Bush doubled the national debt. After running against Bush profligacy (remember the Chinese credit card trope), Barack Obama doubled it again by doubling Bush’s levels of borrowing. Conservatives blasted Obama for his even greater lack of thrift. The

Whereas the questions it raises about state corruption in an age of round-the-clock technological surveillance are far more profound. Let´s start with something I wrote back in October: It seems a reasonable inference, to put it as blandly as possible, that the [Christopher Steele] dossier was used to justify the opening of what the Feds call an "FI" (Full Investigation), which in turn was used

Tuesday night, in his magnificent State of the Union Address, Donald Trump did something similar. Trump’s speech was full of memorable lines: the “new American moment,” “Americans are Dreamers, too,” “complacency and concessions only invite aggression and provocation.” But perhaps the most memorable line, playing off the president’s campaign slogan, came at the end: “It is the people who are making America great again.” Any dispassionate observer has

Five months later, Cruz pulled the fire alarm at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and began shooting his former classmates with his AR-15.
