Trump marks Martin Luther King Jr.
Day at Florida golf club

Washington Times, by Dave Boyer

If actions speak louder than words, President Trump’s actions Monday on Martin Luther King Jr. Day were restrained, amid persistent accusations of racism. In a sharp departure from his predecessors on the national day of service, Mr. Trump spent the bulk of the holiday at his golf club in West Palm Beach, Florida. President George W. Bush typically marked the holiday with a public event such as attending a service honoring King at a Baptist church in Landover, Maryland, or greeting volunteers at a public high school in Washington. President Barack Obama normally celebrated the King holiday by taking his daughters to serve food

This whole concept of "serving" on a memorial day is stupid and actually started with Obama and plays into socialist concepts.

Of course they only "served" on these memorial days and NEVER for the remaining days in the year when we paid them as government workers.

I wish everyday was MLK day and Trump played golf. Good for him. Not only Trump but all the other goobernment demi-dictators. Noticed how nice it has been today without the usual freak show Democrats claiming Armageddon? And our goobernment didn´t dream up a new way to screw us cause nobody was working today. Our world is so much better off when our goobernment is on holiday. Wish everyday was a goobernment holiday.

Thank you for not being a hypocrite like your predecessors who gave one day of "service" then went back to their normal routine. Your speech was sufficient, and black people wouldn´t have given you more credit for doling out food in a soup kitchen than they do for your speech.

U.S. regulators on Thursday killed the politically sensitive sale of the Chicago Stock Exchange (CHX) to a group led by China-based investors, saying a lack of information on the would-be buyers threatened the ability to properly monitor the exchange after the deal. The move by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) ends a two-year battle to gain approval for the sale and underscores the more hostile environment facing Chinese buyers under the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump. Intelligence officials can selectively release classified information to trusted journalists while withholding the same information from other citizens who request it through open records laws, CIA lawyers argued Wednesday. In a motion filed in New York federal court, the CIA claimed that limited disclosures to reporters do not waive national security exemptions to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests. Intelligence and law enforcement agencies frequently deny records requests on the basis of protecting sensitive national security information, one of nine exemptions written into the federal FOIA law.

Revelations that the FBI had been warned about Florida high school shooter Nikolaus Cruz fit an all-too-familiar pattern, in which apparent law enforcement errors have preceded mass murders. The FBI was warned about Cruz after he posted on YouTube saying he was going to become a “professional school shooter.” The agency said they couldn’t identify the user who made the threat, despite Cruz posting under his own name. Five months later, Cruz pulled the fire alarm at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and began shooting his former classmates with his AR-15. Other mass shooters and terrorists were similarly on the FBI’s radar
