Pandemonium and Rage in Hawaii

Why would my 22-year-old brother be calling so early on a Saturday morning? I’d ignored the first call. But the second time the phone rang, I picked it up. He was panicking, his voice trembling uncharacteristically: He’d just received the emergency alert warning of a ballistic missile that was heading for Hawaii, where I’m from, and where he and my family still live. “THIS IS NOT A DRILL,” the alert read. My brother was alone, and had no idea what to do or where to go. And he wouldn’t have had much time to figure out a game plan—some estimates

We wouldn´t be having this discussion if appeasing liberal cowards had sat on this family of self-proclaimed ´gods´ before they got their first nuke plant up and running. We might not have had to worry if our liberal cowards had actually done something about the missile work.

But noooo... Now Liberal Hawaii is having hiss fits because one of their ´well trained´ operators fried their brains for half an hour.

No. Sympathy. Here.

Give a bureaucrat two buttons, one representing a normal day and one representing nuclear attack, chaos, and confusion. Guess which one he presses? The button pusher will likely be the head of his division in a year or two.

OK, let´s play alternative history. Say the United States had left Hawaii an independent kingdom 125 years ago. The Japanese empire would have easily invaded and enslaved all the surviving natives, just like they did on Guam.

Social justice warriors will use any excuse to bad mouth their own country.

Ridiculously accusatory tweets from Carrey, Curtis and others.
Everyone blaming Trump for what happened.
Sure sounds like part of the unhinged and ongoing effort to polarize and eliminate a constitutionally elected president.

In the days and weeks after 9/11 we were all united in the need to find and destroy those who had attacked NYC. It took the Leftists almost 6 months to start calling our military baby killers and war mongers. Bush (being no Conservative) accommodated the Left by instituting foolish ROE and made the war/peace efforts un-winnable and dangerous...losing a few thousand more Americans so as not to upset the Mooslims.

Trump, when challenged, will not make these errors.

I would even go so far as to speculate that just the presence of the Trump/Mattis/Tillerson triumvirate will prevent any substantial attacks on American interests. Better to wait for another Liberal president.

We´ve come a long way since the CD sentry guard with binoculars and M-1 rifle as a first defense for citizens.
We now witness a 22 year old clueless snowflake knowing nothing about the panic he caused when he lifted his head from his I-phone and realized what he did. He freaked out all the liberals and ruined their day and somehow it´s Trump´s fault. No Hawaii, that´s the reason you are still alive. Hawaii is the #1 target for Rocket Man.

Imagine how fast the liberal Democrats will be calling for the US Government to surrender to North Korea. Those would be the same liberal Democrats who are now trying to undermine the Trump Administration on every issue.

If the Trump Administration is unable to to get the Kim Dynasty to denuclearize the Korean Peninsula, resulting in the Kim Dynasty moving ahead with their long range missile and nuclear warhead plans, ending up with about 50-100 long range missiles and nuclear warheads, with which the North Koreans can threaten South Korea, Japan, and the USA, by announcing that they might initiate a nuclear strike against liberal utopias like Honolulu and San Francisco, if the USA does not get US Forces out of Northeast Asia, and turn South Korea over to despotic Kim Dynasty governance, that have been the ultimate North Korean strategic objectives since the 1950-53 Korean War.

It is interesting to see how many at least claim to believe the TV/movie fantasy of 100% instant annihilation of everyone anywhere near as the result of a "nuclear attack".

The shadow of any substantial structure will provide a huge reduction in the harm to a person exposed in the open. People who were a relatively short distance from the bombs used on Japan survived if they were behind a concrete wall, or other substantial barrier, but otherwise unprotected.
Getting into a storm drain would be a very good strategy, with the risk of drowning if the weapon created a tsunami. Also, there are huge mountains on the Hawaiian Islands, a nuke a half a mile away, but over a ridge would do massively less damage.

If you actually think that a nuclear attack has become more imminent, I recommend Nuclear War Survival Skills by Cresson Kearny. Available in hardcopy and for free as a pdf on line, it is a practical primer of how to prepare for and deal with the aftermath of a nuclear attack.

If you think that planning for survival is foolish "because nobody can survive it", you are very far wrong. They are big bombs, with horrific consequences, but if you are beyond their blast radius, you have a very high probability to make it, and should know what to do at that point. The book is worth a read.

Eight armed Hamas terrorists fought Israeli troops last Monday. All were killed — then counted in the day’s death toll of “60 protesters.” Hamas itself identified 50 of the 60 “martyrs” as Hamas members and admitted to “terminological deception,” because it was deploying “peaceful resistance bolstered by a military force.” The widespread condemnations of Israel caused by characterizing those 50 violent fence-invaders as “peaceful” suggests how Palestinians are playing so many for dupes. Whatever your feelings about abortion, there’s no reasonable argument that taxpayers should be forced to subsidize an abortion chain which already operates handsomely in the black with the help of thousands of millionaire celebrity donors. President Trump’s action last week, barring Title X family planning funds from programs and facilities that perform abortions, is thus entirely right and reasonable. For all Planned Parenthood’s gnashing of teeth, the only thing to suffer will be its own profits and the rewards of its senior executives. Former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton told graduating students at Yale University on Sunday she was still grappling with the results of the 2016 election. "No, I’m not over it, I still think about the 2016 election, I still regret the mistakes I made,” Clinton said during an address as part of Yale University’s Class Day. “Today, as a person, I’m Okay. As an American, I’m concerned." “This is a moment to reach across divides of race, class, and politics to try to see the world through the eyes of people very different from ourselves and to return to rational

Pope Francis has reportedly told a gay man that "God made you that way and loves you as you are," apparently pushing the pontiff´s acceptance of homosexuality to a new level. Francis made the comments to Juan Carlos Cruz, a Chilean victim of priestly sexual abuse who recently spent days with the pope at the Vatican to discuss his ordeal as the pontiff moves to tackle decades of coverups and ostracism of victims in the Chilean church, according to the Spanish newspaper El Pais. Cruz was quoted as having discussed his homosexuality with Francis. "He told me: ´Juan Carlos, I

Former Secretary of State John Kerry warned President Donald Trump Sunday that Democrats are not afraid to go against his “America First” policies. “We won’t win, any of us, ultimately, by retreating within our borders, by focusing on our own nations only, or by going it alone,” Kerry told those gathered at New York University’s Abu Dhabi’s commencement ceremony Sunday — a direct reference to the president’s “America First” trade and immigration policies. Kerry served as the secretary of state for former President Barack Obama. He also, notably, was one of the key negotiators for the administration when it was

Former Education Secretary Arne Duncan said parents should pull their children out of school until Congress passes gun control legislation. "What if no children went to school until gun laws changed to keep them safe?" Duncan tweeted Saturday. Duncan, who served as secretary under President Obama, called the step "tragically necessary." "My family is all in if we can do this at scale. Parents, will you please join us?" he said. Duncan´s plea comes one day after 10 people were killed in a mass shooting at Santa Fe High School in Texas.

At the end of all the scandal and drama, all of the breathlessly reported lies and false accusations, at the end of all the money wasted on some zany kabuki swamp dance choreographed to the thrumming of giant bullfrogs and yipping of excited coyotes — at the end of all of this — it comes down to precisely what we said it was a year and a half ago. The Obama administration — with or without the knowledge and direction of President Obama himself — perverted one of the most powerful, clandestine spying operations in the world and used it at the very height of a presidential campaign to spy on political opponents,

A Cambridge professor with deep ties to American and British intelligence has been outed as an agent who snooped on the Trump presidential campaign for the FBI. Multiple media outlets have named Stefan Halper, 73, as the secret informant who met with Trump campaign advisers Carter Page and George Papadopoulos starting in the summer of 2016. The American-born academic previously served in the Nixon, Ford and Reagan administrations. The revelation, stemming from recent reports in which FBI sources admitted sending an agent to snoop on the Trump camp, heightens suspicions that the FBI was seeking to entrap

A New Jersey high school is under fire after it released prom tickets that encouraged students to ´party like it´s 1776´. Cherry Hill High School East designed the prom tickets to commemorate that the dance was being held at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia. But the ´insensitive´ language offended members of the student body, prompting an immediate apology from principal Dennis Perry. ´I am writing to apologize for the hurt feelings this reference caused for members of our school family,´ Perry wrote in a letter posted to Twitter on Friday.
