As TGP’s Kristinn Taylor reported, the government of Hawaii scared the populace with a text message to cellphone users alerting them to an incoming ballistic missile. The alert was reportedly repeated on television broadcasts. It turned out to be be bogus.Hawaii has been on edge this year over North Korea’s threats to nuke the United States that have been backed up by missile and nuclear bomb tests. (Photo) Hawaiian residents were panicking! It took 40 minutes to send out a second alert informing residents that it was a false alarm. WOW! Storm drains are a bad idea. If there was a detonation, water (from rain, sprinklers etc.) would get radiated and end up in the storm drain system. Prepping 101.

The Fox New Channel just had a young reporter on who insinuated that the incident was likely President Trump’s fault because he had been using tough language to respond to the Kim Dynasty, when Trump should be sitting down and talking with Kim to satisfy Kim Dynasty grievances so they won’t fire a ballistic missile at Hawaii or the West Coast. From time to time Fox has incompetent, naive, or unqualified people on TV who talk about complicated issues using a political bent.

It took 40 minutes to send out a message retracting it! I suppose that means that the first message had 40 minutes of review and approval?!
I thought it was just a fluke, until I heard the democrat congresswoman from Hawaii telling everyone that it was a good thing we all saw how serious the threat is from North Korea. So now I think it is possible that it was done intentionally for political manipulation.

Hawaii is a very liberal Democrat State. It is implausible that the State would have set up a nuclear missile cyber warning system with one “button” that could be pushed by accident and cause such a major bogus warning and disruption, and then allow a long period of time to elapse before a second cancellation advisory was sent out, even after the bogus warning was refuted and questioned by the US military in Hawaii. It is more likely the “button” was pushed on purpose, or is a planned political distraction to detract from really bad news for the Democrats that may be coming out later this week. We will have to wait and see.

For an EAS to go out at the state level it would have to deliberate, an individual station can trigger a local alert but there is a definite chain of command for state wide EAS/PAWS events and they come from a single source.

Someone deliberately formatted and sent the message.

Well, this is some Grade-A crap. Apparently, there are some so-called conservatives, who miss Barack Obama and would take him “back in a nanosecond.” It’s not because they support his policies. It’s because Donald Trump is president, and that is a sour grapes reason. Max Boot made this point known in his op-ed this week: How I miss Barack Obama. Before the word "resignation" became a euphemism for being fired, it connoted a sense of public integrity and personal honor. Attorney General Elliot Richardson and his deputy, William Ruckelshaus, showed both qualities when they resigned from the Nixon administration during the Saturday Night Massacre in 1973. Jimmy Carter’s secretary of state, Cyrus Vance, did likewise when he resigned during the Iran hostage crisis in 1980. Assuming Mike Pompeo and John Bolton still have their own senses intact, they, too, should resign following the epic disgrace of the U.S.-Russia summit inHelsinki on Monday. So should their senior staff. I don’t suggest

In the past few days, President Trump has given at least some Republicans reason to express displeasure over his relationship with Russia. First he performed a pathetic ritual of subservience before Vladimir Putin, standing beside the Russian leader — after a private meeting between the two, which no aides were permitted to attend — and dismissing the copious evidence of a Russian attack on the 2016 election in deference to Putin’s word. Then we learned that Putin had suggested that we make Americans available to the Kremlin for questioning, including Michael McFaul, the former U.S. ambassador to Russia, in exchange
