Kentucky to add Medicaid work requirement;
first state to follow Trump plan

Fox News, by Staff

Kentucky received the green light Friday to require many of its Medicaid recipients to work in order to receive coverage. The Bluegrass State thus becomes the first state to act on the Trump administration’s unprecedented change that could affect millions of low-income people receiving benefits. Under the new rule, adults age 19 to 64 must complete 80 hours of "community engagement" per month to keep their care. That includes working a job, going to school, taking a job-training course or volunteering."There is dignity associated with earning the value of something that you receive," Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin said. "The vast majority

This will cause a big drop off. When they added back the work requirement to food stamps in California, it went way down. Every three months you have to fill out paperwork, showing where you tried to get a job and send it in before a certain date or you are dropped and getting back on is very hard.
Just asking this simple task is more than many frauds can handle.

When I see couples using SNAP cards and EBT cards, and both are healthy, and then see ´hiring´ signs on businesses, I´m thinking work instead of freebies. I would be embarrassed to ask for help when I can fend for myself, but I´m not a democrat!

So many of our problems rest with poor parenting! Facing a truth if you have a choice between a $100.00 in groceries and a $100.00 in tattoos what choice is there?

We find person after person, with extravent piercings, tattoos, hair and nails, so much self adulation. Then we see children hungry, sick and dislocated poorly educated! It is the parent stupid!

This society of ours is out of wack! Look at the police photos, look at the welfare recipients! Look at reality!

If you cannot feed yourself or your children din’t Ask me to chip in ifvyou are doing piercings and body art! And your children are hurting!

If you are sick, if you are disabled I am here to help but don’t spit in my face!

The sad fact (liberals cringe) is that far to much of our welfare programs have been managed to buy votes. Paying able-bodied people to NOT work has no other purpose.

Why do full-time students get an exemption? They have enough time in their schedules to do 80 hours a month of public service or have a part-time job. Most of us worked while we attended college, what makes these snowflakes unable to do that?

Wanna bet they spend more than 80 hours a month watching TV or playing video games?

Regarding the low-lifes abusing the system intended for the truly sick and needy:
My experience is that there are a good number of these slugs in my neck of the woods.
They work the system to get every freebie available and complain constantly, but they will have the Five Essentials of Low-Life Living (this cuts across all racial and ethnic lines).
The Essentials are (in no particular order):
-Beer
-Cigarettes
-Air Conditioning
-Cable TV
-a Smartphone.

So they can sit in the air conditioning, drink beer, smoke cigarettes, watch soap operas, and gossip/send text messages on the ´phone.

Anyone else see this pattern?

The mood on the international conference call at the beginning of this month was somber as Ian Bremmer, president of the political risk consulting firm Eurasia Group, prepared to list off top global dangers in the coming year. The reasons are many, Bremmer cited, but the most prominent causes for global insecurity stem from U.S. President Donald Trump´s move away from global leadership, and China´s eagerness to fill the
