Federal Appeals Court Upholds
Tennessee Ballot Measure
Stripping Right to Abortion

A federal appeals court upheld the state of Tennessee’s 2014 vote in favor of a ballot measure that removed the right to an abortion from the state’s constitution. The Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals has upheld the ballot amendment known as Amendment 1 — which won by a 53 percent margin — by a 3-0 opinion. According to the Tennessean, the measure added language to the state constitution that reads, in part: “Nothing in this Constitution secures or protects a right to abortion.” Eight voters who opposed the measure — including the former chairman of the board of Planned Parenthood — challenged the

We in Tennessee have been fighting for 18 years to get this passed. Years ago we OK´d simple, sensible health and safety norms to protect Tennessee women and babies from the violence of abortion. PP and their criminal allies waged vicious lawfare against us every step of the way. Endless appeals. Endless challenges with no basis in law or logic.

We had to amend our State Constitution to get the right to pass legal protections, and then the PP gang tried to tell the judges we had no right to amend our own Constitution! It was simply outrageous.

Well, now we´ve won.

This is not the end of abortion in the state, but yes, we will regulate the lungs and liver out of those bloody baby-killing clinics. Yes! We will shut them down.

A national poll conducted of 1,000 likely voters by McLaughlin & Associates and former Clinton pollster Dick Morris provided exclusively to Breitbart News shows support for President Trump and suspicion of the investigation of Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller. By a margin of 51 percent to 33 percent, voters do not believe Mueller has found “real evidence of corruption by the president.” More specifically, by a margin of 10 points, 43 percent to 33 percent, voters feel that Mueller has not uncovered any evidence that “President Trump colluded with Russia to influence the 2016 election.” A plurality of voters, 43 percent to 35 percent,

Published earlier this year, Michelle McNamara’s I’ll Be Gone in the Dark shone a glaring spotlight on the 10-year rape and murder spree of the perpetrator she dubbed “The Golden State Killer” (GSK). In the final line of the book, which Stephen King called “a brilliant genre-buster,” McNamara urged the depraved man, "Walk into the light.” She believed apprehension of this monster was close, and she was spot on. The Sacramento County Sheriff´s Department has arrested Joseph James DeAngelo, 72, potentially writing the final chapter of the GSK, who was also called the East Area Rapist, East Bay Rapist, Original Night Stalker

The controversy last week over Justice Neil Gorsuch joining a liberal majority in declaring unconstitutional an immigration statute supported by the Trump Administration overshadowed Justice Clarence Thomas’s provocative dissent in the case. “Until today],” wrote Thomas, “this Court has never held that an immigration statute is unconstitutionally vague.” In fact, Gorsuch and Thomas ruled in different ways on the result in Sessions v. Dimaya because they both aimed at constraining arbitrary power and, ultimately, the administrative state. Gorsuch maintained that he was following the reasoning of the justice he replaced, the late Antonin Scalia, who had used the Fifth Amendment due process

Lee argued in a USA Today op-ed that Trump alone holds the power to determine Mueller´s future as special counsel, and that any effort by the Senate to curb that power would violate the separation of powers doctrine. "Supporters of the legislation argue it is necessary to ensure no one is above the law, but the Constitution is the highest law of the land, and the Constitution provides that only the president can exercise executive power," Lee wrote. For many female journalists, covering the 2016 election meant facing a particular professional conundrum: Are you a reporter first, or a woman first? How do you stay neutral while covering a unique moment in women’s history? Which do you use: your head or your heart? On the domestic and foreign fronts, the Trump administration has prompted economic growth and restored U.S. deterrence. Polls show increased consumer confidence, and in some, Trump himself has gained ground. Yet good news is bad news to the Resistance and its strange continued efforts to stop an elected president in a way it failed to do in the 2016 election. Indeed, the aim of the so-called Resistance to Donald J. Trump is ending Trump’s presidency by any means necessary before the 2020 election. Or, barring that, it seeks to so delegitimize him that he becomes presidentially impotent. It has been only
