What They Told Us: Reviewing
Last Week’s Key Polls

Rasmussen Reports, by Staff

Democrats seem to live outrage to outrage in the Trump era, but even they admit it hasn’t been a very effective political strategy. Only 10% of Democrats believe efforts by national Democrats to oppose the president have been a success so far. They aren´t overly confident that their legislators in Congress will be able to stop Trump´s agenda in the future either. At the same time, voters across the political spectrum continue to believe that the Republican president has only just begun to undo the achievements of his predecessor, Democrat Barack Obama.Desperate for someone with firepower to challenge Trump in 2020,

FTA:

Meanwhile, with the unemployment rate falling and the economy booming, Trump ends the week with a 46% job approval rating, comparable to where Obama was at this stage of his presidency. [ Gallup has announced that it is ending its daily presidential tracking poll which means Rasmussen Reports is now the only survey firm still tracking presidential job approval on a daily basis.]

Highlighting the usual disconnect between those inside the Beltway and those out in the real America, Washington is buzzing about the new anti-Trump book, Fire and Fury , but just 16% of voters say they are Very Likely to read it. Only 36% think it’s an accurate portrayal of the Trump White House.

Gallup throwing in the towel? So much for polls. And buzz.

And therein lies the problem, O´Bumbler had no achievements. He was lazy, ignorant, and a butt. He is and will continue to be the worse president the United States has ever had.

Good news, he had others write Executive Orders and Regulations. With time, all these oppressive millstones will be removed. We will soon never know that Stinky was ever in the oval office.

The couple who took in school massacre suspect Nikolas Cruz months before last week’s Florida shooting said they had a “monster living under our roof" but saw no warning signs the night before the bloodbath — despite the 19-year-old’s history of trouble in school, reports said. In an interview with the Sun-Sentinel on Saturday, James and Kimberly Snead said they never saw the violent side of Cruz, but recognized that the 19-year-old was depressed about his mother, who died in November. The couple had opened their home to Cruz, who was staying with a family friend, at their son’s request.

Trump: Democrats Could Have Passed
Gun Control Under Obama

President Trump went a Twitter rage on Saturday night, and at one point blamed Democrats for failing to pass gun control measures when the party controlled the House, the Senate and the White House. Under former president Barack Obama, Democrats passed the most sweeping reform to health care in history with the now-disastrous Affordable Care Act. That bill passed without a single Republican vote when Democrats had a "super majority" in the Senate with 60 Democrats. "Just like they don’t want to solve the DACA problem, why didn’t the Democrats pass gun control legislation when they had both the House

Democrats have become so unhinged over their hatred for President Donald Trump that they think nothing of calling the commander in chief a “psychopath.” Case in point, U.S. Rep. Ruben Gallego, D-Ariz., who took great exception to Trump saying out loud what most rational minded Americans are already thinking when it comes to the FBI. (Photo) The president took to Twitter on Saturday to state the obvious, that it’s unacceptable that the FBI failed to follow up on a credible tip about the Parkland, Fla., high school gunman who killed 17 people, and that the bureau has been too distracted

Ever since the McCarthy era, hasn´t it been a cultural norm from the left to holler about the U.S. becoming a police state? A police state that spies on innocent Americans? One that represses free speech and imposes thought which in reality is little different from a Soviet-style totalitarian police state? Aren´t camps around the corner for the U.S., too? Hasn´t the dark night of fascism been always descending over the United States (for decades), to paraphrase Tom Wolfe, yet lands only in Europe? It´s beginning to be glaringly apparent that those on the left cannot recognize the absurd double standard that exists in almost everything they say. On one day, a specific kind of logic applies to one scenario. Then, the next day, those same people mock the logic that was offered as gospel the day before.Take for instance the liberal notion that stricter gun laws prevent mass shootings. If that´s true, then why do the same individuals who demand restrictions on gun ownership also claim that if access to abortion is limited, women looking to terminate a pregnancy will find a way

San Salvador - Last week, President Trump torpedoed an immigration deal put forward by a bipartisan group of senators. The Senate responded by rejecting his own, harsher plan. By the end of the week, the immigration debate seemed deadlocked between the fate of the Dreamers and the fate of the wall. But one thing is clear: Any plan that purports to make America safer by making it harder for immigrants to obtain legal status and increasing deportations will actually do the opposite. These proposals, embraced by Mr. Trump, are the same decades-old policies that helped transform Mr. Trump’s archenemy, Mara Salvatrucha
