What They Told Us: Reviewing
Last Week’s Key Polls

Democrats seem to live outrage to outrage in the Trump era, but even they admit it hasn’t been a very effective political strategy. Only 10% of Democrats believe efforts by national Democrats to oppose the president have been a success so far. They aren´t overly confident that their legislators in Congress will be able to stop Trump´s agenda in the future either. At the same time, voters across the political spectrum continue to believe that the Republican president has only just begun to undo the achievements of his predecessor, Democrat Barack Obama.Desperate for someone with firepower to challenge Trump in 2020,

FTA:

Meanwhile, with the unemployment rate falling and the economy booming, Trump ends the week with a 46% job approval rating, comparable to where Obama was at this stage of his presidency. [ Gallup has announced that it is ending its daily presidential tracking poll which means Rasmussen Reports is now the only survey firm still tracking presidential job approval on a daily basis.]

Highlighting the usual disconnect between those inside the Beltway and those out in the real America, Washington is buzzing about the new anti-Trump book, Fire and Fury , but just 16% of voters say they are Very Likely to read it. Only 36% think it’s an accurate portrayal of the Trump White House.

Gallup throwing in the towel? So much for polls. And buzz.

And therein lies the problem, O´Bumbler had no achievements. He was lazy, ignorant, and a butt. He is and will continue to be the worse president the United States has ever had.

Good news, he had others write Executive Orders and Regulations. With time, all these oppressive millstones will be removed. We will soon never know that Stinky was ever in the oval office.

President Trump next week will host French President Emmanuel Macron at the White House, marking the first state visit since Trump took office last year. The Macrons´ visit, to celebrate nearly 250 years of U.S.-French relations, will be headlined by a White House state dinner on Tuesday. The White House has said little about the dinner and surrounding events, sticking to the tradition of trying to maintain an element of surprise for guests. On Monday, the president and first lady Melania Trump will dine privately with Macron and his wife, Brigitte, at Mount Vernon, the home of America´s first president,

Tennessee Sen. Bob Corker offered a lukewarm endorsement of Republican Rep. Marsha Blackburn as she runs to replace the retiring Corker. Corker made headlines last week when he said he wouldn’t campaign against the Democratic candidate, former Tennessee Gov. Phil Bredesen, because the two are friends. Corker complimented Bredesen as a public servant and said the duo worked closely together during his time in office. Corker said on CNN’s “State of the Union” Sunday that he still supports Blackburn and has donated the maximum amount to her, but he paused for a long time when told he wasn’t giving her

Former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney ran into an obstacle Saturday in his bid to succeed Utah’s retiring U.S. Sen. Orrin Hatch. At the state’s Republican Party convention in West Valley City, Romney finished second in votes from party delegates, behind state lawmaker Mike Kennedy. That means Kennedy, who captured 50.18 percent of the delegate vote, and Romney (49.12 percent) will face each other in a GOP primary election June 26. In comments after the vote, Romney kept an upbeat tone. “I’m delighted with the outcome. Did very, very well,” Romney told Salt Lake City´s FOX 13. “On to a

Sammy, our greyhound, is around 100 years old in dog years. His health is failing. Mary and I hate leaving Sammy with our pet-sitter, but we must fly to Arizona to help propel Debbie Lesko to victory in the Congressional 8th district race. Shockingly, polling shows Lesko and her Democrat opponent are neck and neck. Folks, we cannot allow Democrats to regain control of the House and Senate. Folks, I get it. You´re busy earning a living, raising a family and taking the kids to soccer. House and Senate races appear pretty boring and unimportant. However, they are extremely important.
