With his newly minted title as the world’s richest person, Amazon’s (AMZN) Jeff Bezos announced on Friday that he is donating a piece of his $108 billion fortune to fund 1,000 college scholarships for “Dreamers.” TheDream.US, the nation’s largest scholarship program for Dreamers, said Bezos donated $33 million in a scholarship grant—one of largest grants in the organization’s history—to give 1,000 undocumented immigrant high school graduates who are part of the Deferred Action for Children Arrivals (DACA) program the opportunity to go to college. “My dad came to the U.S. when he was 16 as part of Operation Pedro Pan,” Bezos

Comments:
These leftists just make me sick! Their affection for all the illegals is just outrageous. What about AMERICAN children?? Bezos and his ilk should be utterly and completely ashamed of themselves for destroying this country that has given them so much. It just infuriates me that they snub those born in this country..

You don´t learn anything, when people give you things. The younger generation has nothing to do but get into trouble, when they don´t DO things to earn what they want.

Good bezo. You pay for their college tuition. Don’t forget to pay for their food and housing. After they graduate send them back to their own country. Tell them to fix the place where they came from. Help their own people

So how many Americans has Bezos provided scholarships for??

Perhaps it is time to consider a national sales tax on internet sales, you know so we have the money to provide educational opportunities for underprivileged American citizens, as opposed to illegal aliens. You hearing me Jeff??

He could give $10,000 to 100,000 American citizens to go to college, and still have $107 billion. What a cheapskate...

When you have $108 billion, $33 million is nothing. But to give it as a reward for criminal behavior is just disgusting. Guess I will have to stop using Amazon for anything, since Mr. Bezos doesn´t seem to like Americans.

It´s his money and he can do what he wants with it. He is free to support those things he believes in, be it dogs & cats, wounded soldiers, or college for undocumented immigrants. I would only hope some of these kids take their education gift, when done, willingly return to their home country in order to make IT better. America is a good place to live. What about some of those "other" countries, that Trump allegedly so indelicately (but accurate!)mentioned? If they´re so repellent to it´s own peoples, why not make them better?

That is 3/100ths of one percent of his entire fortune. That´s the equivalent of an average incomer giving $9.00 to buy a street bum a Burger King meal.

33 million to buy a college education to some border crashers. wonderful. Can´t think of anything else to do with it, can he? besides, where4 do you go to get a 4 year university education these days for $33,000.00? That´s only $4,125 per semester. My neighbors daughter just enrolled in Utah State and her books and labs alone were $2,100! What will they live on? Or does he think that will pay their living expenses in a half-way house, while the State tuition pays the rest of their way through community college?

see? The numbers do not add up. This is pure Bull scatology!

My son has a year and a half of college left. His father and I work crazy hours to pay for his college, after paying for our older son´s college. They´re not illegal though so they don´t get free in-state tuition like others in our State do. And they don´t qualify for financial aid. And our taxes are going up.

He can contact me anytime he wishes to pay for the remainder. Not holding my breath though.

I can see his point, after all it was citizens who made him rich, and as he see them as stupid, why waste money on them.
There is, however, a potential serious downside.
What he is doing is knowingly entering into a contract with an illegal alien, that is a crime. Even if he only gets 2 days in jail for each offence it will be sufficient to dissuade him from trying this again.

President Donald Trump imposed steep tariffs on imported solar cells on Monday in response to a trade case brought by U.S. solar manufacturers charging that cheap imports, particularly from China, were harming domestic solar companies. The United States trade representative, Robert Lighthizer, announced that the president had decided to impose the tariffs, accepting the recommendation of the administration’s trade advisors. The United States International Trade Commission, an independent body of trade experts, had engaged in “an exhaustive process” to examine the charges filed by American businesses and concluded that U.S. producers had been “seriously injured” by imports. “The President’s action

Move over transgender kids, there is a new trend in town. Drag kids — kids dressed in full garb of their biologically opposite gender — are now joining the scene with transgender kids. The parents, guardians, and advocates of transgender or drag kids are not only supportive, but seem to be encouraging the child’s experience and publicity. There’s nothing politically correct about this new frontier; it’s abuse, merely distorted and cloaked in progressivism. At first glance, Desmond and Queen Lactatia seem almost cartoonish and fabricated, but a closer look proves these are young children, ten and eight, respectively, born male

Democratic Senators believe amnesty for millions of illegal immigrants is the “civil rights issue of our time,” declared Sen. Durbin’s promotion of illegal immigrants above African-Americans and other Americans spotlights the party’s decision that Americans’ deficits in wealth, job opportunities, and education are subordinate to the party’s strategy of allying with business to import foreign voters via the nation’s mass-immigration laws. Durbin spoke just before the vote began, saying: So many of you cast a vote that was very hard and very difficult because you believed — as I

Senate Democrats shut the government down in hopes of striking a deal to shield 700,000 young immigrants from deportation. In the end, they got a promise of a vote — one that Republicans argue was going to happen, anyway. Democrats lost the shutdown war. That much was obvious when they voted to re-open the government with little to show for it. They had vowed for weeks not to back any funding bill without a bipartisan agreement to protect so-called Dreamers. But as Washington entered day three of a government shutdown, Democrats folded, voting to reopen the government barely any closer to

Democrats called it the Trump shutdown. Republicans labeled it the Schumer shutdown. But in reality, it was the Dreamer shutdown. The recipe for the current congressional gridlock is complex, but at the top of the list of ingredients are the illegal immigrant Dreamers who pushed Democrats to launch the filibuster that sent the government careening into a partial shutdown. It’s a stunning display of political leverage for a group that, at most, numbers several million, can’t vote now, and even under the most generous proposals wouldn’t be able to cast ballots for another decade. (5 tweets) This racism on the part of some in the black community, who are bruddas and sistas to us all, is very sad. Most white people want us to grow together as a community. I just wish everyone of all races felt the same way. Questions for discussion: After years of Obama´s race baiting, President Trump is the first "post-racial" president to follow him. What do you think President Trump

Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation,” Speaker of the House Paul Ryan (R-WI) questioned President Donald Trump’s new campaign ad saying Democrats “will be complicit in every murder committed by illegal immigrants” if they continued the shutdown. Ryan said, “They are certainly not helping us keep the government open. They are certainly not helping us get to a solution on immigration. When you shut down the government you stop negotiating on immigration reform. They’re complicity with not getting things done.” He added, “I’m not going to comment. I just saw that. I don’t know if that’s necessarily productive. It’s no

The Daily Caller journalist Chuck Ross has some extremely interesting information released today surrounding former top FBI Counterintelligence Agent Peter Strzok and DOJ/FBI liaison attorney Lisa Page which includes a disclosure by top FBI officials that text messages between Strzok and Page have gone missing. (Snip) According to information relayed to Senator Ron Johnson, the period of time the FBI has “lost” is from December 14th, 2016 to May 17th, 2017, the exact day that Special Counsel Robert Mueller was assigned to lead the Russia collusion probe. As CTH has previously outlined the same “small group” inside the DOJ and FBI,

Investigators in both House and Senate were stunned late Friday when, receiving a batch of newly-released texts between FBI officials Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, they also received notice from the bureau that the FBI "failed to preserve" Strzok-Page messages from December 14, 2016 through May 17, 2017. Given the amount of texting that went on between Strzok and Page, who were having an extramarital affair, that probably meant thousands of missing documents. A number of critical events in the Trump-Russia affair occurred between December 2016 and May 2017, including: Conversations between Trump national security adviser Michael Flynn and Russian ambassador Sergey

Question: Do you think Donald Trump spends more time thinking about Hillary Clinton than Hillary Clinton spends thinking about Donald Trump? Sure does seem like it. The other day, President Trump was discussing Russia at a press conference with the prime minister of Norway, when he suddenly announced that Clinton “was not for a strong military and Hillary, my opponent, was for windmills, and she was for other types of energy that don’t have the same capacities at this moment certainly.” Yeah, it didn’t make any sense. But he really can’t seem to get past her. Recently while promoting tax

According to Representative Dave Joyce (R-OH14) the House Intelligence Committee will hold a vote on the release of the four-page Nunes memo that reveals systemic corruption within the DOJ and FBI; including the unlawful use of FISA-702(16)(17) data searches which were part of an elaborate DOJ-FBI surveillance program on the political campaign of Donald Trump. (Tweet) Additionally, Chad Pergram reported that Chairman Devin Nunes met with Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte to discuss the best process to release the memo. There are generally two ways it could be done, the HPSCI vote is the most likely. As more people have become aware

Adam Schiff, reputedly a champion leaker from the House Intelligence Committee when it came to Russiagate material, suddenly thinks Ignorance is Bliss when it comes to the FISA warrant used to spy on the Trump campaign. Appearing on CNN, he tried to justify keep the 4 page memo that reportedly exposes the individuals who acted as part of a cabal to undermine the Trump campaign with help from NSA spying, and then pushed the “Russia collusion” conspiracy theory as part of the “insurance policy.” Americans are too ignorant, you see. WASHINGTON – Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) called the government shutdown a “manufactured crisis” created by Democrats who want a permanent Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) fix, which he referred to as a “non-emergency” issue that does not belong in the short-term spending bill to continue federal government operations. “The one non-emergency issue our friends on the other side of the aisle are trying to shoehorn into this discussion doesn’t reach that status of emergency until March. This is pure folly. The American people know so, that´s why in a recent survey a majority said keeping the government open

Calling the Trump administration’s tax reform plan a “middle-class tax increase,” two California lawmakers introduced a bill that would force large companies to fork over half of their expected savings to the state. Assemblymen Kevin McCarty and Phil Ting, both Democrats, introduced Assembly Constitutional Amendment 22, which calls for a 10 percent surcharge on companies with a net earnings over $1 million. The plan could potentially raise billions for the state´s social services programs. “It is unconscionable to force working families to pay the price for tax breaks and loopholes benefiting corporations and wealthy individuals,” Ting said in a statement,

The Senate on Monday was set to hold a successful vote to reopen the federal government, after Senate Democrats agreed to let the bill through even though it doesn´t include immigration language they are seeking. "We will vote today to reopen the government to continue negotiating a global agreement," Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., said on the floor. Under the bill up to be called up, the government would be fully funded through Feb. 8, and it would fund the Children´s Health Insurance Program for six years. It would also reopen the government, which has been partially closed since midnight
