Comments: Sheriff Grady Judd just said (on radio), "Shoot at our deputies, and we´ll shoot back. A lot." Yes, that´s what they will do, if necessary.

Lotsa people shootin´ at the police, aren´t there? Might have something to do with all these career dopehead criminals coming out of the revolving door of the "justice system". Our area had an officer shot by a criminal that the probation dept. said was "unsuited for another attempt at community probation of any type". You guessed it...he was out on probation from multiple felonies last year. You might want to think about that 2nd amendment right, if you haven´t already.

#2, this criminal should not have had a gun. Criminals --and he sounds like a really bad career criminal-- somehow illegally get their hands on guns.
I suspect that once again, during sentencing a weapons charge was negotiated down which lessened the thug´s prison term.
If a weapon is used in the commission of a crime, send them to prison and do not let them out

Grady, those officers need more shooting practice. Why would anyone in that county test the system? He is nationally known for no nonsense.

Mark Zuckerberg´s testimony before Congress made for great theater, but the questioning was not without conflicts of interest: Many of those who grilled him had received donations from Facebook. According to The Verge, since 2014 Facebook has contributed $641,685 to the members of Congress who questioned Zuckerberg. The top recipients include Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ), Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA), and Rep. Anna Eshoo (D-CA). The hostility of the questioning did not appear to correlate with the contributions. Sen. Orrin Hatch -- who has received $15,200 in donations in the past three years, the sixth largest amount -- asked purely softball questions. Sen.

My local WNBA team is called the Washington Mystics. While I love attending live sporting events, I have yet to attend a Mystics´ game. If I were given free Mystics tickets, I doubt that I would go. I don´t find the level of basketball played in the WNBA to be worth the hassle of D.C. traffic, even if the tickets are free. Saying that does not make me a misogynist. However, according to feminists like Maggie Mertons, my dislike of women´s sports undermines gender equality. In a finger-wagging article published by The Atlantic, Mertons makes this astounding claim: The thinking goes that if

WASHINGTON – Former Rep. Patrick Kennedy (D-R.I.) urged Congress not to legalize marijuana, breaking with other members of his party such as Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.). Schumer announced today for the 4/20 cannabis holiday his plan to decriminalize marijuana at the federal level, writing that he had evolved on the issue along with the electorate. Kennedy argued lawmakers should oppose legalization of marijuana, in part because it would worsen the crisis of addiction in America. “The biggest issue here is denial in our lives, those of us who come from homes with alcoholism and addiction, who live with it in our

Defensive gun use (DGU) happens more regularly in the United States than gun crimes, according to data the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) never publicized. Florida State University criminologist Gary Kleck has been arguing that point for a quarter of a century, saying that his own research led him to believe that DGU was far more prevalent than gun-control advocates claim. The CDC’s data, collected a few years after Kleck’s survey, appears to corroborate his findings, Reason.com reported. The question asked in the CDC survey addressed the use or threatened use of a firearm to deter a crime. “During the last 12

At some point in the early morning hours of Saturday, April 14, gay civil-rights lawyer David Buckel’s life went up in a little gay puff of smoke. As some sort of ill-conceived protest against global warming, the 60-year-old rump-wrangler sashayed into Brooklyn’s Prospect Park, doused himself in fossil fuels, and set himself ablaze. Fastidiously gay to the last minute, he even apologized for his untidy demise in a handwritten suicide note near his charred corpse: I am David Buckel and I just killed myself by fire as a protest suicide. I apologize to you for the mess. A longer note found near his

Wait—yesterday was Earth Day! I must have yawned right through it. Like most Americans, if you go by the surveys showing increasing public indifference toward environmentalism. I used to make a big deal out of Earth Day, pointing out for years that the data in rich countries showed an almost unbroken record of significant environmental improvement is just about every major category. This would send environmentalists into howls of outrage, because good news is bad news for Crisis Entrepreneurs.TM A good example of the broken (plastic!) record of environmentalism comes to us this morning courtesy of the usually half-sober folks

Last night, I reported that, from what I’m hearing, Senate leadership is pushing to confirm Chai Feldblum as EEOC Commissioner this week. Feldblum, as we have discussed, is a left-wing radical who, among other things, formulated President Obama’s LBGT agenda. She thinks it’s fine if that agenda tramples religious freedom, as it often does. Sen. Mike Lee placed a hold on Feldblum’s nomination. However, the plan is to get Lee’s consent by packaging Feldblum with the Trump nominee for EEOC General Counsel. Feldblum is already packaged with two Trump nominees for Commissioner. In my view, this deal isn’t good enough to justify

Former president Barack Obama is a man who exhibits selective outrage based upon how a tragedy can benefit advancing the utopian vision. If an event includes changing "the world as it is" into the world Obama thinks it "should be," the former president will commend whomever he has to. With that in mind, recently, via a piece written for Time magazine entitled "Cameron Kasky, Jaclyn Corin, David Hogg, Emma Gonzalez and Alex Wind," Obama praised the five Parkland student-activists who made Time´s 100 Most Influential People list. The former president wrote, "America´s response to mass shootings has long followed a predictable pattern."

The fight for the control of Washington, after a ton of preliminaries and battlespace preparation, is now underway in earnest. As Robert Mueller seeks a path toward linking Donald Trump to collusion with the Russian government, the president is trying to frame the investigation as a conspiracy hatched by the former administration´s intelligence bosses and secret policemen. It´s a clash between the irresistible force and the immovable object. The start of this war can be dated to January 5, 2017 according to Andrew McCarthy´s research. At this meeting the outgoing president made key decisions on how to investigate his successor

Perhaps the most enduring puzzlement about Donald Trump the president and candidate is his ability, if that’s what it is, to attract a faithful political base founded on fervent evangelical Christians, despite his frequently reinforced reputation for less than righteous acts and statements. During the 2015-16 campaign, each emerging example of Trump misbehavior, from off-color references to women and allegations of affairs, convinced Eastern elites and media to believe the billionaire’s upstart political rebellion was doomed any day. Planned Parenthood is once again proving its hunger for powerful allies in government positions. GOP control of the Senate is narrow, and with the upcoming Senate races, the power balance could tip in favor of Democrat, pro-abortion advocates. Planned Parenthood knows this, of course, and will be pouring a reported $30 million into abortion advocacy through its political arm. This money will be spent on Senate and gubernatorial races in a number of states, including Arizona, Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, and will be used to fund TV and digital ads, direct-mail campaigns, and even advocacy in the public square.
