If Haiti Weren’t A ‘Sh**hole,’ Its Citizens
Wouldn’t Need Refugee Status In The U.S.

The Federalist, by Ben Domenech

President Trump derides protections for immigrants from ‘sh**hole’ countries. (Snip) Let’s be clear about one thing here: Haiti is a s**thole. I’ve been there twice. It has a cholera epidemic thanks to the United Nations and a burgeoning child sex trafficking problem thanks to the predilections of evil people. It is really a hellish place. But the whole point of the temporary status welcoming immigrants from these countries is based on them being real sh**holes – places so dangerous and awful that we won’t send refugees from them back to the countries because they’ll probably die, or worse. That’s the

Comments:
Someone finally says it!! I say amen to that. The Democrats will NEVER acknowledge that truism. The same applies to Somalia and all the rest of those horrible places. And of course no one will utter a word about the corrupt, greedy Clintons and the fact that they contributed to the demise of that godforsaken country of Haiti.

Ben thinks he is super smart by issuing this challenge FTA- In this case, I’d gladly argue that America has the potential to take people from shithole countries and turn them into great Americans.

Oh Ben, I´d argue that with you ALL day and pummel you with facts, stats and the reality of what Teddy Kennedy´s evil, traitorous change to our immigration policy in 1965, has done to the USA. It´s fine to be all emotional, idealistic and pious about things like this and it is another matter entirely to see what happens when liberal elites play benevolent dictator with our money, our culture and our laws. Ben is trying to be another ´worldly´ smart guy who is willfully blind to the disaster of unfettered open borders to the world´s losers. FIX Haiti first by keeping progressive champions like the Clintons far away from that broken island.

I live in Florida where the are a lot of Haitians. They have destroyed an area of north Miami that used to be one of the best- Miami Shores. The crimes in this area are horrible. It looks like the streets of Porto Prince.
Had to go to the Social Security office which is in the same building as the welfare office. With exception of one or two American blacks it was full of Haitians . Mostly young women with tons of kids . All wearing brand clothes and shoes. Outside the "fiancé " waiting on a fancy new car.
Someone tell this idiot that they are not coming here to work or become anything but welfare recipients!

Any country that produces refugees should by definition be considered as just such a country.

And if we continue to take in so many of these refugees we will deserve that title too as I try to get refugee status elsewhere.

There are plenty of hard working Haitians with a Catholic education but there are plenty living in ghettos on the streets of Haiti. That being said, we need to stop taking in people who have no intention of working here. How many countries can We accept and put on cradle to grave welfare?

A ton of Haitians have arrived in Central FL and must come from Key West after the hurricane. They had more than their fair share.

Lots of the news from sub-Saharan Africa is about war, famine, poverty or political upheaval. So it’s understandable if many Americans think most Africans who immigrate to the United States are poorly educated and desperate. Research tells another story. While many are refugees, large numbers are beneficiaries of the diversity-visa program aimed at boosting immigration from underrepresented nations.
