Snowfall in the Sahara Desert:
The world’s hottest desert
briefly turned into a winter wonderland

Indian Express [Mumbai India], by Staff

If you’ve ever been to the desert, you would know that it is a barren piece of land with the scorching sun shining for the larger part of the day with little or no rainfall. However, things took a shocking turn when the world’s hottest desert — The Sahara Desert in Africa — was pictured covered in snow. Unbelievable, right? Well, it’s true. Swirls of white snow in the orange dunes actually looked like some kind of latte art. On January 7, Ain Sefra, a desert town in Algeria, also known as the ‘Gateway to the Sahara’ – where the

Clearly Exxon and Chevron´s fault. Raise taxes on gasoline (but leave jet fuel alone since the G5´s take a lot of that)!

We´re all doomed.

Damned global warming, freezing the heck out of everyone.

Seriously, the sunspot numbers have been steadily decreasing for several decades. Recent sunspot levels have been nil, and if it continues, the info from the Maunder Minimum tells us to expect a serious cooling period. MM led to the Little Ice Age, winter festivals on the thick ice on the Thames and places that haven´t frozen for close to a century. 202 years ago, a volcano popped it´s top and cancelled summer entirely, and millions went hungry. Rivers iced over in Pennsylvania in July and August, crops failed.

Excessively cold temps are far, far more dangerous than a bit of warming, yet the insane leftists scream endlessly about the fantasy MMGW.

This perfectly fits the theory of Gullible Warming.

You see - - when the warmed vortices in the polar extremities infiltrate a lower pressure area in transit from the formerly-warmed nimbi of the water vapor, the result can be a precipitation inversion reversing the normal pattern affected by the abnormally-warmed areas swirling above the heated silicon of the desert.

It´s all so simple - - and strongly reinforces the settled science of Gullible Warming.

Any questions?

Right, #3... and #5, thanks for the hilarity!

The warmists are such children.

As my favorite pre-Socratic philosopher, Heraclitus, said, "Everything is in flux. You step and do not step in the same river."

Change, including extremes, within a certain spectrum is constant. But there are lots of variables.

For example, about 20thousand years ago the advance of the Pleistocene glaciers ceased and then began to retreat. Up until ten thousand years ago, most of the North American continent was covered by massive glaciers, while most of Asia was not.

As #3 says, we could be headed into another mini ice age, as has occurred since the end of the last Ice Age. We could even be in for another "snowball earth" era, if we don´t get some more warming to settle in.

Shortly following the end of a nearly three-day government shutdown the White House was quick to take a victory lap, patting itself on the back and once again blaming Democrats for the stalemate. "They blinked," White House deputy press secretary Raj Shah told CNN. , "I think the fact they are voting in favor of this proposal that they rejected a few days ago is sort of evidence that they blinked," he explained. "We were pleased to see Sen. Schumer accept the deal that President Trump put on the table from the very beginning, which was to responsibly fund the

Washington- Progressive lawmakers and activists are furious over the Senate´s Monday vote to advance legislation to end the government shutdown. The 81-18 vote to advance a measure to extend government funding by three weeks came after Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Kentucky, pledged to take up immigration issues -- including the fate of so-called Dreamers thrown into limbo when President Donald Trump ended the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program -- by February 8. Sen. Kamala Harris of California -- the first Senate Democrat to embrace the strategy of rejecting any bill that didn´t include protections for DACA recipients --

The warning signs for the toy industry started last year when “Cars 3” -- considered a surefire success -- proved lackluster for licensees like Mattel Inc. Now, toymakers’ big bets on movie tie-ins look downright bleak. Democrats called it the Trump shutdown. Republicans labeled it the Schumer shutdown. But in reality, it was the Dreamer shutdown. The recipe for the current congressional gridlock is complex, but at the top of the list of ingredients are the illegal immigrant Dreamers who pushed Democrats to launch the filibuster that sent the government careening into a partial shutdown. It’s a stunning display of political leverage for a group that, at most, numbers several million, can’t vote now, and even under the most generous proposals wouldn’t be able to cast ballots for another decade. It´s no secret that Mitt Romney is, in all likelihood, going to run for a Senate seat in Utah. What´s less clear, however, is why the man who was the 2012 Republican presidential nominee and is now retired and occupying an elder-statesman role in a party torn into warring factions would want to serve as a junior senator. Once elected, Romney would find himself embroiled in day-to-day congressional fights and less free to voice his criticisms of the White House, while losing some of the deference he´s been shown by members of his own party.
