Furious Chicago Professors Demand
Obama Move His ‘Socially Regressive’
Presidential Center Elsewhere

Sometimes you just cant win. Former president Obama is finalizing plans for his Obama Presidential Center, which will be built in Chicago, Illinois and will be within a stone’s throw of the University of Chicago.(Snip) The library’s design and location has been a source of controversy itself within the Chicago community. In a recent letter, over 100 members of the University of Chicago faculty and dozens of community groups strongly condemn Obama’s plan. Why? Because, according to the professors, the Obama Presidential Center wastes millions of taxpayer dollars in an already broke state, destroys a public park and is “socially regressive” to

Comments:
Loved the headline. It says so much. The mighty Zero has managed to alienate just about every “community” he ever belonged to, including the professors. “Socially Regressive”? Nothing like a socially regressive community organizer. Little by little, they are figuring him out...

OP comment: The article goes on to list and illustrate the professors’ complaints. Also included is this link to their original letter:

The length of the list of professor signators to this complaint letter is long and being added to everyday.

"Socially regressive"? Oh, there´s a low blow. That alone is going to put Obama off his arugula.

This being Chicago, I assume all the noise is just clarifications of where, and to which parties, the pallets of money, all in unmarked white envelopes, should be delivered.

Ironic that this fraud would use a public park designed by a man who believed that the common green space must always be equally accessible to all citizens, and was to be defended against private encroachment. Olmstead was a co-designer of Central Park.

While I agree wholeheartedly with the UC faculty, I do think that it´s interesting that the most liberal people in the world will finally challenge Obama when they are the ones being affected.

When it was the rest of us being destroyed by Obama and his whims not so much.

There´s a cable TV show called ´Abandoned´ that shows grandiose buildings and projects that were left to rot because they turned out to be useless. I expect Obama´s site to appear on the show not long after it is completed.

Near as I can tell, they will have no National Archives presidential documents. It sounds like they have been destroyed, or they have claimed that none exist.

The man with a fake birth certificate, a fake SS number and a fake Selective Service registration also has a fake "presidential archive".

I´m with #22. My first thought was that they actually did build a concrete outhouse, with a companion waste treatment center.

I also noticed that the model used leafless trees. Usually those models show full beautiful shade trees. How appropriate to give us a visual of Zero´s fruitless regime.

I agree this monstrosity will never be built, but the design does embody The Big Ugly. God has a "wicked" sense of humor.

Bubba Clinton got his "double wide adult bookstore and massage parlor" in Little Rock so let Obama have a monument to his life.

An existing structure is probably available at a great cost savings to the Obama Foundation.

The "Man´s Country" bath house in downtown Chicago could be acquired and become a "twofer"-- a Presidential and Mayoral Lie Bury, since rumors abound that Obama and Rahm Emanuel were both life time members before the records were "laundered".

When the cant and emotionalism subside, the Helsinki summit will go down in history as a turning point in this American president’s struggle to disembowel the bipartisan regime of complacency and lassitude he successfully ran against. Former Republican congressman and non-interventionist advocate Ron Paul praised President Trump’s summit in Helsinki, Finland with Russian President Vladimir Putin, saying he believes the president “won.” In comments after Trump and Putin wrapped up a press conference together, Paul said he was “delighted” to see the two power players speaking while noting that the interventionist wings of the Democratic and Republican parties — commonly referred to as “neoconservatives” — are outraged by the meeting. President Donald Trump scored a diplomatic win on Monday at his summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Helsinki, Finland. The media, the Democrats, and the Never Trump contingent declared immediately that Trump had failed. But they were bitterly prejudiced against the meeting from the start, to the point where many insisted that Trump cancel it. To them, looking at the summit through the lens of “collusion,” the summit could only be the ultimate payoff for Putin’s election meddling in 2016. But viewed through the lens of diplomacy, the summit was a milestone in U.S.-Russia relations. Judging from their remarks at the press conference

Hillary Clinton loyalist Philippe Reines, who served as a senior State Department appointee under Clinton and later as campaign adviser for Clinton’s losing 2016 presidential bid, organized a protest at the White House Monday night timed for the return home around 9 p.m. EDT by President Donald Trump from his summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Helsinki, Finland earlier Monday. Reines was joined at the protest by current Hillary political adviser Adam Parkhomenko, who said Trump-hating porn star attorney Michael Avenatti would be at the White House to protest Tuesday night. Reines posted video of himself holding an air

Democratic Tennessee Rep. Steve Cohen on Monday called for the “military folks” to save America from President Donald Trump after Trump’s much-criticized press conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin. “Where are our military folks? The Commander in Chief is in the hands of our enemy!” Cohen wrote on Twitter, using language suggestive of a military coup. (Tweet) Cohen later said that he was in no way calling for a coup. “No coup called for,” he wrote, claiming it unlikely that someone would call for a coup on Twitter. Cohen’s bizarre tweet was similar to one from former Obama CIA Director

When Presidents Trump and Vladimir Putin ended their joint press conference in Helsinki, the punditocracy predictably swarmed all over it like ants around a pile of crumbs. Was Trump winking at Putin? Did he really say he believes Putin more than he believes Robert Mueller about whether Russia interfered in the 2016 election? Former Gus Hall enthusiast John Brennan, off his meds again, tweeted that the presser was “treasonous.” Professional chatterer Anderson Cooper said it was “perhaps one of the most disgraceful performances by an American president at a summit.” Every phrase, every gesture of the event will be picked

All this killing is so senseless and now they are targeting the elderly," said Gwen Bridgeforth, his daughter-in-law.

JOHANNESBURG — Without ever mentioning President Donald Trump by name, former U.S. President Barack Obama on Tuesday took aim at “strongman politics” in his highest-profile speech since leaving office, urging people around the world to respect human rights and other values now under threat in an impassioned address marking the 100th anniversary of anti-apartheid leader Nelson Mandela’s birth. Obama’s speech to a cheering crowd of thousands in South Africa countered many of Trump’s policies, rallying people around the world to keep alive the ideas that Mandela worked for including democracy, diversity and tolerance. Obama opened by calling today’s times “strange

Former FBI Director James Comey on Tuesday said “history has its eyes on us” and encouraged Americans to vote for Democrats in the upcoming midterm elections. Comey, who was fired by President Donald Trump in May 2017, issued a tweet urging Americans to snub Republicans this November. “This Republican Congress has proven incapable of fulfilling the Founders’ design that ‘Ambition must … counteract ambition,’” tweeted the former FBI director, a longtime supporter of Republicans. “All who believe in this country’s values must vote for Democrats this fall. History has its eyes on us.” James Comey ? @Comey This Republican Congress has proven incapable of fulfilling the

Socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is the new darling of the Democratic party. In a recent interview, however, the upstart politico running in a hyper-liberal district in New York did not show command of the issues. Ocasio-Cortez was being interviewed by Margaret Hoover on the PBS show ‘Firing Line.’ Hoover asked very basic, softball questions of the young congressional candidate. In explaining her positions on the economy, Hoover asked Ocasio-Cortez “Do you think that capitalism has failed to deliver for working class Americans?” Hoover cited a currently booming US economy and low unemployment.

There is an American besides President Donald Trump who was privy to the two-hour private meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin – a government translator who sat in on the entire meeting. Marina Gross, a State Department translator, was pictured along with Trump, Putin, and Putin´s translator at their Helsinki summit. Interest in her role has only grown, after furious critics accused Trump of ´treason´ for failing to push Putin publicly in any way at their Helsinki summit. It was after that meeting that Trump emerged only to engage in a disastrous press conference where he took Putin´s denial of election interference over

Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee Sen. Bob Corker denounced President Trump’s performance at the Helsinki summit on Monday, saying the Mr. Trump made America look weak at the summit. “I just felt that the president’s comments made us look as a nation like a pushover. I was disappointed by that,” Mr. Corker, a Republican, told reporters on Capitol Hill, shortly after the summit with Mr. Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. He expressed disappointment in Mr. Trump for not defending U.S. intelligence agencies in the face of Russian interference. “I just don’t know where that comes from
