Poll: Nearly half say Trump will

Almost half of voters in a new poll said they believe it is likely President Trump will be cleared in special counsel Robert Mueller´s probe into alleged ties between the Trump campaign and Russia. Forty-eight percent of voters in the Politico/Morning Consult poll said it is "very or somewhat likely" the president will be cleared on wrongdoing in the investigation, while 37 percent said "it´s not too likely or not at all likely" the president will be exonerated. The poll comes as Mueller´s probe moves closer into Trump´s inner circle. Mueller has interviewed figures close to Trump such as White

Comments:
No wonder Dems are edging away from Russia, Russia, Russia. Despite a year of non-stop media coverage, only 37% think there´s a pony in that pile.

Even that 37 percent may believe the president is innocent but Mueller is not, and that Mueller is too partisan to admit he has nothing.

The dishonorable Mueller III is still busy fishing for a crime....having botched the NYC anthrax investigation. He does not want to leave the stage without the claim that he brought down a presidency.

I suspect the Mueller investigation will end with a whimper, not a bang. What I do expect is October indictments, probably against Kushner and Trump Jr. The facts won´t matter as the indictments, as political acts, will be intended primarily to affect the election. If the Ds take Congress, as appears likely, then Trump is neutralized. Mueller can then go home without the reputation of single-handedly taking out a president.

FORT WORTH, Texas - Maybe it was a ripple. The blue wave many thought could hit Texas this primary election clearly didn´t materialize, but Democrats did turn out to vote, drawing their largest turnout in a non-presidential primary - more than 1 million voters - in decades. (Snip) Many Republicans posted on social media that they were busy working during early voting, but would show up at the polls on Election Day. And they did - in mass. By the time the polls closed, Republicans had cast a total of 1.5 million votes, nearly 700,000 of those on Election Day

You must always check the date on news stories popping up on Facebook. It’s embarrassing to register shock — James Garner dead? Oh no! — only to be informed that he passed away in 2014. So a week ago, when I noticed a CNN report headlined “Nation of Islam leader Farrakhan delivers anti-Semitic speech,” the first thing I did was see whether he delivered the speech in 2012 or 2002. I mean, talk about an evergreen headline, right? Feb. 25, 2018. Nation of Islam Saviours’ Day. In Chicago. Prompting me to then wonder if the local papers covered it. Nope.

WASHINGTON — Bernie Sanders is back in the Senate minority. Hillary Clinton is selling books and playing with grandchildren. And the Democratic Party is still navigating the fallout from their bitter 2016 presidential nominating fight. The latest reminder came this week as party leaders failed to agree on how to reduce the influence of so-called "superdelegates" in picking Democrats´ next White House nominee. That class of party leaders — Democratic National Committee members, elected officials and others — overwhelmingly favored Clinton two years ago, inflaming Sanders backers who accused Democratic power players of stacking the deck. The Democrats are trying to make something out of Donald Trump’s alleged dalliance, twelve years ago, with porn performer Stormy Daniels. I wrote about it here. Frankly, I don’t think anyone cares. But the story is interesting because it raises questions about what, in our era, constitutes a scandal. Trump’s long-ago romps with Daniels–assuming the stories are true–don’t qualify.
