JULIAN Assange may be forced to leave the Ecuadorian embassy in London after the South American country´s foreign minister reportedly described his current situation as "untenable". The Wikileaks founder has been holed up in the embassy since 2012 after he was granted asylum by Ecuador following an allegation of sexual assault in Sweden, which he strongly denied but have since been dropped. However, he still faces arrest by British police for failing to comply with the terms of his 2012 bail. He has been unable to leave the building, in London´s wealthy Knightsbridge district, for the past five years without risking arrest

One can only imagine the kinds and magnitudes of pressure(s) the little nation of Ecuador has been under the last couple years to kick Assange out.

So, it worked. President Donald Trump´s inflammatory and bellicose ´Little Rocket Man´ taunting at North Korea´s Kim Jong Un has, astonishingly, brought the pint-sized dictator to the negotiating table. Trump´s ´my nuclear button´s bigger than yours´ shock tactics scared the life out of almost everyone else, including me. But it turns out there was method to his apparent madness. In a stunning development, Jong Un´s agreed to meet Trump by May, and pledged to refrain from further nuclear and missile tests in the meantime. Even more significantly, he is apparently ´committed to denuclearization´ – according to South Korea´s government, after a meeting its officials

Senator Lindsey Graham offered a word of warning to North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un after President Trump accepted his invitation to meet. The Republican politician said on Thursday that he hoped for peace, but warned Kim that ´it will be the end´ of him if he tried to take advantage of Trump. In a statement, posted on Twitter, Sen. Graham also issued a caution to the U.S. and the international community as he said he thinks North Korea will be ´all talk and no action´. It reads: ´After numerous discussions with President Trump, I firmly believe his strong stand against North Korea

When a bold Russian explorer arrived with two servants on the rugged coast of New Guinea in 1871, the tribe he encountered had never met a white man before. The feared people inhabiting the world´s second-largest island, in the southwestern Pacific, had a fierce reputation as headhunters and cannibals and Nickolay Miklouho-Maclay’s life was very much in danger as he stepped ashore. But - as he explained in his diary - his ´defenselessness´ was his safety. Miklouho-Maclay showed no aggression towards the Papuans and in return, they decided to let him live. The handsome 25-year-old had endured a gruelling 10-month

I think it’s time to be afraid. If it can happen in America, no place is safe. Farrakhan wants us dead everywhere, including Israel. This is getting to be a habit. Like any habit, we get so used to it, we forget to scratch where it hurts. So quite recently, and now getting prime attention, Louis Farrakhan held another rally – and there he goes again, blasting the Jewish people. Pure hate speech. Ordinarily people like that get shunned. They do, if they speak contrarily about Blacks, gays, transgenders and Muslims – but these are Jews he’s talking about, and like I said,

OSLO - Norway does not plan to retaliate against U.S. import tariffs on metals, despite being a major producer and exporter of aluminum, Foreign Minister Ine Eriksen Soereide told Norwegian news agency NTB on Thursday. President Donald Trump plans to impose a duty of 25 percent on steel and 10 percent on aluminum to counter cheap imports, especially from China, that he says undermine U.S. industry and jobs. “Norway has not prepared retaliatory measures. I believe there should be a high threshold for taxing Norwegian consumers and businesses by imposing restrictions on trade,” Soereide, of Norway’s ruling Conservative Party, was quoted

President Donald Trump is planning to offer Canada and Mexico a temporary exemption from new tariffs on steel and aluminum imports. It´s a reversal of the president´s original insistence that the measures apply to US allies as well as nations like China, administration officials said Wednesday. One version of the plan, which will be announced on Thursday, would give Canada and Mexico a 30-day exemption from the tariffs, the officials said. The exemptions could be extended based on progress in renegotiating the North American Free Trade Agreement. In one instance, Trump told an aide that McGahn should issue a statement denying a New York Times article in January that said the White House counsel told investigators the president had once asked him to fire Mueller. Talk of “sex change” is a scientific misnomer, argues philosopher Ryan T. Anderson in a recent article, since it is impossible to change someone’s sex by bombarding them with hormones or performing cosmetic surgery on them. A person can pretend to be a member of the opposite sex, Dr. Anderson notes, but it will never be more than play-acting since one’s biological sex is a physical reality outside the individual’s control. “Modern science shows that our sexual organization begins with our DNA and development in the womb, and that sex differences manifest themselves in many bodily systems and organs, all the way

If you had seen a doctor who misdiagnosed your illness, prescribed a remedy that made it worse, and subsequently falsified the record, would you return to him for medical advice? The legacy media have done precisely that in the case of Ezekiel Emanuel. Dr. Emanuel is best known as an advocate of health care rationing and a key architect of the “Affordable Care Act.” In other words, he believes the malady troubling American medicine is that we provide too much of it. The treatment he prescribed — Obamacare — was a disaster and he consistently overstates the efficacy of that

Sunday, March 11, is the start of daylight saving time across the country. But it might be the last time people in Florida have to switch their clocks. The legislature there voted overwhelmingly to abolish the biannual changing of the clock, and stick with daylight saving time year round. Last year, Massachusetts considered a similar move by switching to Atlantic Standard Time, which would permanently set their clocks ahead one hour. Maine also passed bills to ditch daylight saving time. Arizona and Hawaii don´t abide by daylight saving time. The problem Florida faces is that while the law lets states opt out of
