Senate Panel Hits Back At
Fusion GPS Over Op-Ed Claims

Daily Caller, by Chuck Ross

Original Article

A battle is erupting over transcripts of congressional testimony provided by one of the founders of Fusion GPS, the opposition research firm behind the Trump dossier. In an op-ed published by The New York Times on Wednesday, Fusion GPS partners Glenn Simpson and Peter Fritsch called on the congressional committees that have interviewed Fusion GPS employees to release transcripts of closed-door interviews. (Snip) “Despite his public statements, Mr. Simpson and his attorney demanded during the interview that the transcript be kept confidential,” Taylor Foy, a spokesman for the Senate Judiciary Committee, tells The Daily Caller. Simpson, a former Wall Street Journal

This is really rich that they want those transcripts released when (as stated in the article) two of them pleaded the fifth and wanted the transcripts kept confidential. I say be careful what you wish for. I have seen nothing recent about the fight over the production of financial documents since the Obama appointed judge recused herself in December. Link below. Will the new judge order the release of the documents?

Facebook is embroiled in a political controversy over the manner its social data was utilized by the Trump campaign, but a former Obama campaign staffer argues the social media company has been allowing this type of behavior since at least 2012. The social media giant is being lambasted for failing to verify that data from an estimated 50 million users was deleted by the Steve Bannon-led firm, Cambridge Analytica. However, a former Obama campaign staffer has come forward to claim that Facebook turned a blind eye to the same issue in 2012. Carol Davidsen, former director of Obama for America’s

A plan of action for how a second special counsel can investigate the FBI and Justice Department is spelled out in a point-by-point letter submitted by two Republican senators. They specifically want to know whether former FBI Director James B. Comey lied to them and had a plan to double-cross President Trump. Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Charles E. Grassley of Iowa and Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina sent a letter last week to Attorney General Jeff Sessions. First there was the casual sexism: the reason white women didn’t back her when she ran for president, Hillary Clinton believes, is “a sort of ongoing pressure to vote the way that your husband, your boss, your son, whoever, believes you should.” Have you noticed that her sneering always seems to take the same form?
