Trump’s EPA Has Cleaned Up Seven
Of The Most Toxic Sites In The US

Daily Caller, by Tim Pearce

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) partly or completely cleaned seven of the most toxic land sites, called Superfund sites, in the U.S. in 2017, according to the EPA. Of the seven sites designated for cleanup, three were completely cleansed, while four others still require some work. The cleanup effort is a significant improvement over the year prior when the EPA completely cleaned one Superfund site and parts of another. “We have made it a priority to get these sites cleaned up faster and in the right way,” EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt said in a statement. “By creating a streamlined task

Who knew? This is huuuge news and absolutely no one has reported it. If Obama had done this the greenies would be screaming with joy and shouting his accolades. The list of wonderful accomplishments of the Trump administration is long. It´s too bad they aren´t widely reported.

This, and only this, is the proper use for the EPA. The rest is just bureaucracy on steroids.

It would be interesting to know if the same amount of money was spent both years. Bureaucrats have a talent for doing the bare minimum of constructive work needed to keep the funds flowing while consuming the maximum amount of money with paperwork, studies, and status reports.

Um, yeah. The headline of the Daily Caller is not really what happened and is not what is contained in the EPA´s Press Release. I personally worked on two of these sites (starting in the 90s).

I´m a big fan of Pruitt, and the focus on getting things done. However, these didn´t get cleaned up in one year. They were "de-listed" from the National Priorities List (NPL) in 2017. Meaning that they were cleaned up over years and reached the point at which they were no longer a human or ecological risk.

There could have been some administrative hold up by the Obama administration on delisting. For example, Obama´s EPA may not have wanted to delist them yet for "social justice" reasons. That would not surprise me.

But, come on, this is just bad reporting.

Here is the link that was cited in the story. Read the press release. It may be semantics as #5 is implying or it may be imprecise journalistic description of what the Sec´y did. The fact that he was looking at progress on these sites is what we elected PDJT to do.

Plans for President Trump’s requested military parade in the nation’s capital are moving forward after National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster ordered the military to start planning the event for Veterans Day, a senior U.S. official confirmed Friday to Fox News. Trump has requested that the procession run from the White House to Capitol Hill on the national holiday, which this year coincides with the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I. A Harvard law grad argued Thursday that armed teachers would shoot black students. Elie Mystal, who graduated and practiced law with a Harvard University law degree, made the case for why armed teachers would shoot black students, reported The College Fix. He published the argument on Above the Law, a law blog he edits. Mystal argued that arming teachers would be pricey, not dissuade potential shooters, and “directly result in students of color being shot to death at school.” “I know that because the only other group of public employees that is armed at the behest of the state shoots

John Kasich’s inner circle is gearing up for a possible presidential run in 2020 — actively weighing the prospect of a Republican primary challenge to President Donald Trump against the feasibility of a long-shot general election campaign as an independent. And there’s one consideration driving their thinking perhaps more than any other: what some of his advisers consider the very real, maybe even likely, possibility that Trump doesn’t run again — by choice or not — or that the president becomes so politically hobbled by late next year that the political landscape fundamentally shifts in Kasich’s favor. That’s one reason

For the past year, chief executives have often talked about the new sense of moral responsibility that corporations have to help their communities and confront social challenges even when Washington won’t. What if the finance industry — credit card companies like Visa, Mastercard and American Express; credit card processors like First Data; and banks like JPMorgan Chase and Wells Fargo — were to effectively set new rules for the sales of guns in America? Collectively, they have more leverage over the gun industry than any lawmaker. And it wouldn’t be hard for them to take a stand.
