Trump’s EPA Has Cleaned Up Seven
Of The Most Toxic Sites In The US

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) partly or completely cleaned seven of the most toxic land sites, called Superfund sites, in the U.S. in 2017, according to the EPA. Of the seven sites designated for cleanup, three were completely cleansed, while four others still require some work. The cleanup effort is a significant improvement over the year prior when the EPA completely cleaned one Superfund site and parts of another. “We have made it a priority to get these sites cleaned up faster and in the right way,” EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt said in a statement. “By creating a streamlined task

Who knew? This is huuuge news and absolutely no one has reported it. If Obama had done this the greenies would be screaming with joy and shouting his accolades. The list of wonderful accomplishments of the Trump administration is long. It´s too bad they aren´t widely reported.

This, and only this, is the proper use for the EPA. The rest is just bureaucracy on steroids.

It would be interesting to know if the same amount of money was spent both years. Bureaucrats have a talent for doing the bare minimum of constructive work needed to keep the funds flowing while consuming the maximum amount of money with paperwork, studies, and status reports.

Um, yeah. The headline of the Daily Caller is not really what happened and is not what is contained in the EPA´s Press Release. I personally worked on two of these sites (starting in the 90s).

I´m a big fan of Pruitt, and the focus on getting things done. However, these didn´t get cleaned up in one year. They were "de-listed" from the National Priorities List (NPL) in 2017. Meaning that they were cleaned up over years and reached the point at which they were no longer a human or ecological risk.

There could have been some administrative hold up by the Obama administration on delisting. For example, Obama´s EPA may not have wanted to delist them yet for "social justice" reasons. That would not surprise me.

But, come on, this is just bad reporting.

Here is the link that was cited in the story. Read the press release. It may be semantics as #5 is implying or it may be imprecise journalistic description of what the Sec´y did. The fact that he was looking at progress on these sites is what we elected PDJT to do.

Hillary Clinton continues to attack President Trump while abroad, this time during an interview with a Dutch news network. During the interview, which took place on March 13, Clinton alleged that Trump is undermining the presidency in exchange for personal and familial gain. “He has undermined the office and used it to enrich himself and his family,” Clinton said. “Disregarded laws, ethical standards.” “He’s crossed into a territory of behavior and actions that are unpredictable, that are erratic, that are undermining the stability of the global order,” she continued. Washington Gov. Jay Inslee signed a bill into law that would require all health insurers to cover abortion if they also cover maternity care. The law, the Reproductive Parity Act, had been considered for more than six years. It also would mandate coverage for every form of birth control, including emergency contraception, without any out-of-pocket costs. The bill makes a few changes to provisions that are already available under federal laws and regulations. Under Obamacare, all health insurance plans across the country are required to cover maternity care but not abortions. In October, the Trump administration scaled back rules on contraception, saying

A 123-page paper by Christopher Booker, published by the Global Warming Policy Foundation (GWPF), explains this sudden change in terms of a "groupthink" belief system formulated and perpetuated by a few strong personalities. Through key positions, and with sympathetic lobbyist groups, the theory overwhelmed politics during its formative years in the 1970s from its center in various United Nations agencies until its unraveling began in the late 1990s. President Trump says he didn´t collude with Russia in 2016, promising something to a foreign country in exchange for his installation as president. That seems increasingly likely to prove true. Where they do not spring from simple malignancy, critics’ arguments that Trump used Russian intervention to win the election are mostly an excuse to avoid the plain truth that Hillary Clinton deservedly lost because she was an awful candidate. And the country is better for that result. We aren’t persuaded, either, that the Russians’ paltry $100,000 in Facebook spending had anything to do with Trump’s win, given that very little of it

Discussing cities is like talking about the knots in a net: they’re crucial, but they’re only one part of the larger story of the net and what it’s supposed to do. It makes little sense to talk about knots in isolation when it’s the net that matters. Cities are part of the system we’ve invented to keep people alive on Earth. People tend to like cities, and have been congregating in them ever since the invention of agriculture, 10,000 or so years ago. That’s why we call it civilisation. This origin story underlines how agriculture made cities possible, by providing
